Lorn the Barber |

Slamming his meaty fist against the wall, Lorn snarls as he doesn't seem to be able to do Joboo's trick.
"Big Blue! You and me are going to have a talk once we get out of here. Matching colours? BAH!"
Already tried to disable device in previous post so no action in this post

Lorn the Barber |

Still angry because of his clumsy actions Lorn shouts to Big Blue
"SCREWING IT UP? WHAT DO YOU MEAN? ARRRGH NEVERMIND I'LL FIGURE IT OUT MYSELF. GET OFF MY BACK WILL YOU?"
As he twists and spins the device Lorn suddenly understands why Big Blue was laughing at him.
"Oh cursed test. Making me look bad... hmmmpff" Lorn mutters under his breath as he finally gets the point of the puzzle.

Joboo |

As Joboo fumbled with the button he kept glancing at the hole going down where Ryujin and Lorn had disapeared to.
Wesa wasting time ups here, ups here Gwrrr'rrr. Letsa go down, down, down. Look for idol.
He wondered why some of the others were still watching from above...must thinks theysa bosses...
Come on downs guys! Yousa missing all the funs!
He carefully made his way towards the hole across the caltrops and picked one up thinking he could possibly use it for a tool.

DM Doomed Hero |

Lorn quickly figured out the sequence. The colors weren't really the point. It was the shapes. It was simple geometry. Even simpler, it was about putting the shapes in sequence by number of points. At least this one was.
The final shape changed color and lit up, then the rod slid out to full extension.
Joboo looked down the hole into the blackness. His goblin eyes quickly adjusted and he saw a pair of small pedestals on opposite sides of the final floor of the pit. On each of them was a small statue made of something glassy, both identical as far as he could tell, in the shape of a slightly more rounded horseshoe.

Lorn the Barber |

With a smug look on his face, Lorn yells
"I was just kidding Blue, easy as pie this thing. So where's the rest of us? Are you guys still coming down?"
Editted this post to no actual actions. I somehow was under the impression it was my turn again. Hehe

DM Doomed Hero |

As the two levels continued to rotate down the threaded bolt, each floor lowering another couple feet and spinning the new students around the axis, another volley of Caltrops fired.
Down below, Joboo watched as the crystalline idols threw reflections of light around the shadowy chamber as the floor he stood on moved above them.

Lorn the Barber |

Lorn just started moving again when more caltrops landed in front of his feet. Too late he realized he would have to tread carefully and he felt a sharp sting in his left foot.
"AH DAMNED SPIKES!"
With a limp Lorn slowed down to a slow trod as he tried to avoid stepping on more caltrops, which became increasingly harder with light becoming sparser.

Joboo |

Yeeaaooow!...the gobbo screeched as the caltrops hit him.
Yes Lorn, lets get a good look, look good at idols.
Joboo will scamper down to the next level to look at the target objects and without touching them; try to figure out how to remove them without springing a trap.

Lorn the Barber |

Lorn crouches so he can better peer into the darker level below.
"Ah, the idol... idols?"
Instead of hopping further inside, Lorn stays where he is, not wanting to trigger any more caltrop shots or the like.
"So, what do you see? I bet there's more than one nasty trick down there."

Joboo |

Joboo hissed and spit as it became clear this wouldnt be an easy snatch and dash.
Nasty tricksies! Both idols trapped, both of them and squares in walls like circles up topsies. Maybe squares not trapped, not sure but in walls like circles with poles. Carefull, carefull now.

DM Doomed Hero |

As the group quickly discusses their situation, the floors continue to lower under their weight. The lowest rotating platform was now only four feet from the ground, putting the group in a difficult situation. At the current rate of decent, they had very little time to act. There seemed to be no way to get either of the idols before anyone below was crushed by the descending floor.
Caltrops continued to burst forth from the center column, but the floors were already fairly covered. A few more seemed to matter little at this point.
Go ahead with round 5 actions

Lorn the Barber |

Lorn starts to panick slightly and shouts down through the hole:
"We're running out of time now, grab an idol and toss it up here and get out of there!"
Then he turns to GWRRR'RR:
"Orc! Climb up and be ready to take over any idols I toss up there! My feet hurt like hell so I'm not as quick as before."

Joboo |

While the lower floor was just starting to get cozy for the diminutive goblin he knew it wouldnt be for everyone else and he would need their help.
No, no, no. Wesa need to raise floor! Make room to work.
He ran back up and started looking for the round holes that would pop out the poles so they could raise it.
Find holes! Everybody look!

With a few quick twists, the goblin managed to pop another pole free.
Which one are you going for?

Sir Loric the Righteous |

Perception to figure out what the heck is going on:
1d20 - 2 ⇒ (11) - 2 = 9
is it correct to assume that means loric has no idea what is happening? Lol
Brave Sir Loric looked around perplexed, wanting to help but clearly confused about the situation.

DM Doomed Hero |

The long bar slid out of the wall on the second level where Joboo's fingers had just danced on the symbols.
Remember that if someone raises the second level while the first level is still coming down, things won't go well for them...

DM Doomed Hero |

Using the poles to brace on, the direction of the floor may be able to be reversed, raising it back up.

Joboo |

Finds small holes, pop out poles. Push on poles round and round, make floor go up and down.
Joboo snickered at his little rhyme.
Its why we need whole team. Ones or twos each floor keep ceiling from crushing longshanks heads. At least two, maybe threes to get idol and win!

Sir Loric the Righteous |

Loric gallantly strode to the frozen witch, taking off his shirt and holding it out with an exaggerated motion.
"Miss, I know you are not harmed by the cold so to speak, but I feel I simply cannot allow myself to be clothed when you are not. It wouldn't be right. Please take my shirt."
Loric then began climbing into the hole, trying to help his comrades before they were crushed.
Climb 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

DM Doomed Hero |

Sir Loric makes his way down the rope and finds himself in the first level of the pit with Gwrr. Echoes of voices can be heard from below.

Sir Loric the Righteous |

I'm not a very "visual" person IRL, so I may be way off base here, but Loric would certainly want to try to stop his friends from being crushed, if possible.
Can he stand on one of the poles that are protruding, and try to hold up the floor to stop it from lowering?
Str Check if the action is possible: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
