After a quick pint from his stein:
"Ah'll be taking you up on yer offer tonight, Mer, if it still be available. I don't like the feel of this place."

After a bit of drinking and Carousing Meredian will make his way to the Treasure Cove Inn and encourage others to do the same. When confronted he will inform whomever that his is "Captain Adinauf's Guest." Baring anything else he will go to his room and open the Mansion portal and designate everyone who said they wanted to join him (which I think is everyone except Adin). The rooms and food are immaculate as always and once again completely IDENTICAL to the last time down to the size and placement of fruit/foodstuff. The next morning Mer will emerge from his rooms and see what the day brings.
Karsa follows Mer to the Treasure Cove Inn and quickly retires to his room within Meridian's Mansion. He spends the remainder of the evening in quiet prayer to Asmodeus for the strength to crush the demonic forces they have found in their way.

After getting up from the rest of the night Avlar goes to don his armor. With that complete he heads off to see if any of the others have awakened seeing Meredian he says "Good morning Meredian. I have a question for you. Would you know of any magic that would allow me to change my shape for a time? I think it might be a good idea to do this for myself to look how I did before the experiment if we are meeting some who would find one as myself shocking. It could also give us an advantage in a fight if it could apply to some of the others. We could make ourselves look well not very capable. I wanted to ask your thoughts on this as well if it was a good idea or not."

"I know an spell that could cover you in such an illusion for a time. However it would only last a few hours at most. If you wanted to look different on a regular basis there are items that will allow you to accomplish a similar trick as often as you like for as long as you like and they're relatively inexpensive."
Avlar thinks for a moment "I did not mean on a regular basis but this item you speak of may be useful if you cannot cast the spell at an important time. Thank you for the suggestion. Could you tell me more about how this magic works or how the item works?"

"It's merely an illusion. It does not actually change your form. If you interact with someone it is easier for them to see through it. Think of it as a very good mask. Impressive, but not impenetrable. If you wanted to actually change your form..." Meredian thinks a moment."...it would be much more difficult."

"You choose the disguise as you don it. I can create the effect on myself. Watch." meridian looks like a surface elf, then then a dwarf, then Jade, then you, finally reverting to himself. "it's like that. I'm sure you noticed you can see through the disguises. It's because you watched me and knew who I truly was. If I changed out of your sight then passed you on the street you wouldn't have reason to look at me twice, so you would see what I wanted you to see. Does that help? I'm afraid I've never been much of a teacher. My kind isn't exactly known for their nurturing ways." the last part said sardonically.

Avlar watches as Meredian speaks to the half-elf. He thinks to himself "Not bad. I wonder how they got all of this."
"Ah, Captain Adinauf, an esteemed guest for sure. How many rooms would you like?"
"As many as the captain has said he would pay for. With generous tips for all the staff." Meredian say's with a wide smile and a wink.
Karsa raises an eyebrow as Meredian talks to the half-elf at the front desk. He leans over and whispers to the drow arcanist, "Carefull, I'm not sure I could stomach our captain if you gave him reason to be less personable..."

The Half-Elf smiles "It doesn't work that way. We charge per guest then per room. After all, we pride ourselves on the security of our guests and its rather hard oto do that if we don't know how many and which rooms they'll want. The captain wasn't sure how many of you would stay the night, so he didn't pay for anything as of yet. He should be back in a couple of hours. Until then, why don't you relax in our dining hall. We have a lunch buffet going on today, which includes several kinds of roasts, some of the best bread you'll ever have and a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables you would be hard pressed to top"
Meridian nods"Understood. Well there are five of us and I presume everyone will want their own room. In the mean while though I could use a bite."
Mer then heads into the dining room and walks straight to the largest tray of fruit (after a quick detect poison) and telikinetically floats it to the table before pinky dives in and messes up the buffet. He then peruses the buffet to make himself a plate (while detecting poison).
Karsa casually follows Mer into the dining hall and loads himself a heaping plate of what must be several pounds of roast and then grabs a loaf of bread and a large mug of ale before taking a seat at their table and passing the next few hours either eating of making idle conversation until Adin returns.
Following Karsa's lead, Avlar gets some mutton, chicken and beef. Once he is seated he goes back to get some bread and vegetables while also getting some water. He than begins to eat all his food in silence once done he starts to speak with the others while waiting.
Kolm gets a sizable chunk of beef and seats himself, drinking from his stein, mumbling the command word occasionally to refill it.
Adin comes in late in the night. He walks up to the front desk after a long day of business.
"Any messages for me?"
after carousing and eating for awhile Meredian will retire for the night. I don't know if the captain would be present or not. He'll let the others present know that the portal is available for them in his room if they wish to use it. Same setup as before with the exception of the capatain who never indicated he wished to join.If asked why Mer insisted on using the portal in a place such as this Mer will casually reply, "Paranoia has kept me alive for a long time. No sense in changing something if it's working."
Pinky flies over to the table where the fruit beckons, the juicy pears, grapes and apples all glistening with plum juiciness. His acute sense told him the fruit was indeed as high quality as was advertised. I have to get Mer to stay here more often!
He runs his tongue over the choicest pieces of fruit, marking his prey as it were. As he starts to sample the tasty fruits, he reflect on his meat eating cousins and idly wonders if they act the same way when they devour a plump cow. Ahh, such is the price I paid for my powers…

mer gives pinky a look when he burps in his ear, but quickly laughs it off.
Adin looks at Joren.
"Well thats surprising. I will be in my room if needed Joren. Good night and I apologize ahead of time for any annoyance they may cause you."
Adin gives a nod and goes to his room if not needed.
