The Succubus laughs as Adin's spell fails to send her back home "Nice try, but I'm here to stay" She then utters a potent word of arcane power directed at Adin.
Adin your Blinded for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 rounds
Meredian Adriatnaic
ROUND 1
As combat begins Meredian cast a spell "Anda Rapido!"
Haste for all my allies
School transmutation; Level bard 3, sorcerer/wizard 3
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a shaving of licorice root)
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Targets one creature/level, no two of which can be more than 30 ft. apart
Duration 1 round/level
Saving Throw Fortitude negates (harmless); Spell Resistance yes (harmless)
The transmuted creatures move and act more quickly than normal. This extra speed has several effects.
When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with any weapon he is holding. The attack is made using the creature's full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by a speed weapon, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)
A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonus es.
All of the hasted creature's modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject's normal speed using that form of movement. This increase counts as an enhancement bonus, and it affects the creature's jumping distance as normal for increased speed. Multiple haste effects don't stack. Haste dispels and counters slow .
Karsa Orlong
Alright, I'm back.
Karsa grins sinisterly as he regards his opponents, "They say you can be judged by the company you keep. I think it's about time I took Treerazor's measure..."
Spreading his wings, Karsa shifts forward and up several feet off the ground in order to have a more direct line to his targets.
Fly (Hover DC 15) : 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
5ft step up and towards our opponents.
The half-dragon brings his chain around and speaks a command word while channelling his focus into the weapon as he swings. As it lashes forward, the chain leaps forward, seemingly adding new links and closing the distance between himself and his abyssal enemies.
Activate Greatreach Bracers (re-fluffed) and use reaching blade to extend his reach to 20ft total.
Karsa's first brings his chain around to catch the legs of Succubus :
Trip (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste) : 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (6) + 29 = 35
Attack of Opportunity (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste, Bracers of Opportunity) : 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (4) + 27 = 31
Damage : 2d6 + 2d6 + 30 ⇒ (5, 1) + (4, 6) + 30 = 46
Intimidate (Cornugon Smash) : 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (2) + 24 = 26
His chain then sweeps past her and tries to bring down the Minotaur :
Trip (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste) : 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (19) + 29 = 48
Attack of Opportunity (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste, Bracers of Opportunity) : 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (12) + 27 = 39
Damage : 2d6 + 2d6 + 30 ⇒ (6, 5) + (5, 3) + 30 = 49
Intimidate (Cornugon Smash) : 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (20) + 24 = 44
He then attempts to hammer the Minotaur down further :
Mind Blade (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste) : 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (15) + 20 = 35
Damage : 2d6 + 2d6 + 30 ⇒ (6, 6) + (1, 5) + 30 = 48
Intimidate (Cornugon Smash) : 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (1) + 24 = 25
Mind Blade (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste) : 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19
Damage : 2d6 + 2d6 + 30 ⇒ (2, 1) + (2, 4) + 30 = 39
Intimidate (Cornugon Smash) : 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (7) + 24 = 31
Psychic Strike Damage (Added to the first successful hit) : 3d8 ⇒ (3, 3, 7) = 13
Avlar
Seeing the savage assault that Karsa just unleashed upon the fiends Avlar grins than looks at the Minotaur saying "Well seems you are the first one to go." He roars as he rushes to attack the fiend.
Used Challenge on the Minotaur.
Attack and Damage Roll
1d20 + 23 ⇒ (4) + 23 = 271d10 + 26 ⇒ (8) + 26 = 34
Voice of Awesomeness
Karsa, both your trip attempts fail to bring down either enemy. However, your first attack lands solidly on the minotaur, though you realize it does not deal as much damage as it should.
Avlar, before your able to attack, the minotaur strikes at you with his axe. 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (14) + 32 = 46 Readied attack for 2d6 + 2d6 + 24 ⇒ (2, 2) + (6, 4) + 24 = 38 damage
Meredian Adriatnaic
ROUND 2
Meredian casts another spell. His skin momentarily takes on a blue blue scaled appearance before fading back to it's original color.
He then speaks another arcane word faster than one would think possible and a barrier momentarily appears around him momentarily then fades to invisibility.
Dragon skin (Blue dragon. i.e. Electricity resistance)
Quickened Shield
Haste: +1 Attack, +1 AC (dodge), +1 Reflex
Current AC;29
Adinauf Dhaunvirl
Briel pokes his head from out of Adin's coat hood. He seems strangely silent but keeps looking. Adin cast a spell that sends acid towards the succubus.
Ranged Touch
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Acid Dmg
13d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 4, 4, 6, 3, 1, 2, 2) = 52
Fort Save DC 22 or sickened for 1 round.
Homunculus share senses with their masters. But if you rule that out then he will cast greater invisibility on himself.
Voice of Awesomeness
Adin, give me a Knowledge(Planes) check in an effort to change your action.
Btw sorry about this slightly slow pace, I've been battling a bit of a cold lately, and I need to make sure I am less sickly come next. I'm volunteering at the New York Comic Con 12-16th. I do not think it will interrupt my posts, though they may come late in the day/night.
Karsa Orlong
Sorry, once Adin had posted I was just waiting for you to post the succubus' turn as she was up next. Anyway, on to Karsa's turn then...
Karsa growls as only one of his attacks connects with either opponent. He then shifts forward again as his chain begins to shrink back to it's original length. Quickly speaking the command word though, he snaps the chain back out and lays into the demonic pair once again.
5ft step forward, activate Greatreach Bracers (15ft reach) and full attack
He sweeps the chain in reverse this time, first swinging for the legs of the Minotaur :
Trip (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste) : 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (2) + 29 = 31
Attack of Opportunity (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste, Bracers of Opportunity) : 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (7) + 27 = 34
Damage : 2d6 + 2d6 + 30 ⇒ (4, 2) + (2, 3) + 30 = 41
Intimidate (Cornugon Smash) : 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (3) + 24 = 27
Then he brings it around to take the succubus off of her feet :
Trip (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste) : 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (18) + 29 = 47
Attack of Opportunity (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste, Bracers of Opportunity) : 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (3) + 27 = 30
Damage : 2d6 + 2d6 + 30 ⇒ (3, 4) + (2, 3) + 30 = 42
Intimidate (Cornugon Smash) : 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (13) + 24 = 37
And then tries to find a hole in the defense of this seemingly softer target :
Mind Blade (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste) : 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 20 = 34
Damage : 2d6 + 2d6 + 30 ⇒ (5, 2) + (3, 2) + 30 = 42
Intimidate (Cornugon Smash) : 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (6) + 24 = 30
Mind Blade (Power Attack, Fiercebane (Evil Outsiders), Haste) : 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30
Damage : 2d6 + 2d6 + 30 ⇒ (5, 3) + (1, 4) + 30 = 43
Intimidate (Cornugon Smash) : 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (3) + 24 = 27
Avlar
Round 2, 99/137 HP
Remember +3 to attack rolls on Minotaur.
Avlar grunts after being hit by the Minotaur. Seeing that Karsa is trying to trip both the fiends Avlar swings his blade in a furious assault at the Minotaur.
First Attack: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (18) + 27 = 451d10 + 26 ⇒ (3) + 26 = 29
Second Attack: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (11) + 22 = 331d10 + 26 ⇒ (2) + 26 = 28
Third Attack: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 201d10 + 26 ⇒ (5) + 26 = 31
Bonus Attack: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (5) + 27 = 321d10 + 26 ⇒ (4) + 26 = 30
Crit Confirm:1d20 + 27 ⇒ (17) + 27 = 44
Damage:1d10 + 26 ⇒ (2) + 26 = 28
Meredian Adriatnaic
ROUND 3 (I think)
Meredian casts a spell and points his finger at the succubus. A white ray springs from his outstretched hand (Calciphic touch augmented by reach spell feat. Range 60')
Ranged touch Vs Succubus1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Spell resistance roll 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25
Fort save to avoid being slowed for one round = 24
Dex damage regardless of saving throw 1d4 ⇒ 4
Basically if I hit and she fails her SR Nothing happens. If I hit and she fails her SR and her fort save she's slowed for one round and takes dex damage. If I hit and she fails her SR and makes her save she just takes dex damage.
School: transmutation [earth]
Level: sorcerer/wizard 4
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Components: V, S
Range: touch
Targets: creature or creatures touched (up to one per level)
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Fortitude partial
Spell Resistance: yes
Your touch progressively transmutes the substance of creatures you touch into stone. Once per round, you may deliver a touch attack that inflicts 1d4 points of Dexterity damage and slows the target (as the spell) for 1 round. A successful Fortitude save negates the slow effect but not the ability damage. A target reduced to 0 Dexterity is petrified permanently. Break enchantment, restoration, or stone to flesh can reverse the effects of calcific touch.
Karsa Orlong
I hear you on the crazy life. Though I'll admit I was getting a little worried your last post was your way of saying you were done with this campaign...glad to see your still interested:D
Don't forget Karsa also has SR 22 against demons...pretty sure she'll make it though ;)
Will : 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34 HA! I damn sure hope that's good enough :D
Karsa grits his teeth and does his best to fight the demon's mental intrusion.
Voice of Awesomeness
Karsa, while you are able to shake off the worst of the effects of the demon's spell, you are nonetheless frozen in place as sudden, overwhelming guilt and sadness.
You fill a target with such profound remorse that it begins to harm itself. Each round, the target must save or deal 1d8 points of damage + its Strength modifier to itself using an item held in its hand or with unarmed attacks. If the creature saves, it is instead frozen with sorrow, can take no actions, and takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class.
Meredian Adriatnaic
I have not seen such Errata, therefore it does not exist :)
Adin, your Orb hits the Succubus full force and she curses in pain "You'll pay for that, you pathetic weakling"
I'm assuming my touch attack missed. Just let me know when it's the next round so I can try again.
It's your game, but here is the official word on the subject;
Scroll to the bottom of the page **LINK**
From Errata
Terrible Remorse: If I make my saving throw against terrible remorse (page 243), do I become paralyzed for the duration of the spell?
No. The spell is a bit unclear here. When you are targeted by terrible remorse you do not make a saving throw until your turn. On your turn, you must make a Will saving throw. If you make the saving throw, you are frozen with sorrow and can take no actions, but this causes the spell to end. If you fail the saving throw, you deal damage to yourself, but can otherwise act normally.
Update: Page 243, in the description of the terrible remorse spell, change the final sentence to read as follows.
If the creature saves, it is instead frozen with sorrow for 1 round, during which time it can take no actions and takes a -2 penalty to Armor Class, after which the spell ends.
Meredian Adriatnaic
Next Round actions;
Meredian points his slightly glowing hand at the succubus again and a white ray springs toward her
Ranged Touch VS Succubus 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
to beat Succubus SR 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (14) + 18 = 32
Fort save to avoid being slowed for one round = 24
Dex damage regardless of saving throw 1d4 ⇒ 1
Basically if I hit and she fails her SR Nothing happens. If I hit and she fails her SR and her fort save she's slowed for one round and takes dex damage. If I hit and she fails her SR and makes her save she just takes dex damage.
Edit: I really need to look into the maximize feat for this spell. This is the first time I've tried this strategy. Thus far I am underwhelmed
Adinauf Dhaunvirl
Adin replies with another spell.
"Sorry I cant hear you over the sound of melting flesh."
Reflex DC 24 for 17 dmg
Dmg
13d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 6, 2, 1, 1, 1, 3, 6, 5, 2, 1) = 34
He will try to get both the minotaur and succubus but if he cant he will get the succubus.

Ok, afaik, in round 2 the Minotaur, Avlar and Kolm(in that order) still need to go. Last I heard, Kolm's been a bit busy, so it might take him some time to post. As for the Minotaur, I am on my way to the first day of the New York Comic Con, so I won't be able to post his actions till I get home.
Also, Errata is cool, just bein a jerk. I don't rly follow Errata unless its something important and I'm made aware of it by others.

I assumed you were joking. ;-) Just making sure we're all on the same page.

Sorry about that. I'm gonna poke the minotaur again.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18
Damage 1: 1d10 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23
Attack 2: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26

Are we hasted? If so, that's right, if not, free action to activate boots of speed.

Yes. I hasted everyone round 1
Voice of Awesomeness
OK, just to avoid confusion, we are in the middle of round 2. Kolm, in round 1, did you move to engage the Minotaur, or was that just Avlar?
Adin, is the Acid Storm your round 2 or 3 action?
Mer, your casting the same spell for 3 rounds??(2, 3, and 4)
Meredian Adriatnaic
Mer, your casting the same spell for 3 rounds??(2, 3, and 4)
Actually I cast it on round 2 and it stays active for up to 1 round per level thereafter. So I just keep firing it off the consecutive rounds posted. .
