It's okay, I've saved all my terrible rolls for helping to stabilize an ally next time one of us drops. :P

Kallik Sisa |

I got hurt at work and the medicine that the doctor gave me has made me really foggy. I still get to work which is good for my bills. But if need be bot me cause I have no idea how functional I will be.

Inam Smithrock |

Sorry for my lack of post yesterday. I was doing yardwork last two days and apparently my 30 minute power nap turned into an 11 hour affair...

High Servant of Volcano |

Between Kallik's injury and Inam's craziness at work (are they bringing in the guys from Office Space to clean house?) would this be another good weekend to just say "don't worry about posting"?
We've been at this for almost two years now so I'm more concerned with making sure we don't burn out than rigidly sticking to a posting schedule.

Has it really been that long?! Wow...and this is still one of my favorite games. :-)
I'm fine with taking the weekend off for Kallik and I to rest up.
Just a heads up (I'll try to remind you all closer to time) but July 6th through July 16th, I've taking off work. I am getting the hell out of dodge!
Wife is being extremely secretive about where we're going/what we're doing. In my defense, she's insisted on handling the planning on her own due to my work stuffs as of late...
I suspect we'll be on the side of a mountain for at least part of that time period. With that in mind, I'll likely have minimal if any internet access then.

High Servant of Volcano |

Honestly between your hiatus...I think Kallik mentioned one too around that time...and Ibinu is having a KID!! later in July, I think that going into an extended "break" like we did...whenever that was...will be in order.
That is, time will pass more or less in sync with real time (so if this lasts a month, you'll have a month of in game time). Those who can't really contribute (like mountain climbers and sleep-deprived parents) can just say "I'll be helping out in the Dims" or whatever, and those who have more time can do some IC RP with Egret, Edoardo, etc etc.

Kallik Sisa |

Weekend was good for me, clearly. I am working on playing catch up but I should be able to jump back in. Though taking a long pause because life is insane is a good idea. And damn two years and still going is a good thing.
If we are in the weird fire plane of the dead how are we doing that or is it gonna be a Time Warp!

The other table got me thinking about the different ways each race has for showing marriage:
--Ifrit: rings, or maybe they cut off their pinkies, who knows with them
--Sylph: colorful stud in left ear, worn in upper part of ear
--Oread: tattoos or embedded gems, depending on tribe
--Undine: Distinctive braid or braids woven into hair

Literally snorted when I read that. Now I’m thinking about adding a little thing about that in a backstory for an ifrit, lol.

Instead of "I was a great warrior once, until I took an arrow to the knee" it would be "I fought the mighty shadow beasts, until I lost a pinkie."

Ibinu Kemish |

My bad, forgot to post. I’ll get something up tonight.

Ibinu Kemish |

Sweet! BATTLE SCARS! THE CHICKS WILL DIG ME NOW!!! :P
(by priority)
1) Create or purchase (making money the same way I did so the last time) some sort of extra dimensional bag that can store all my crap. Something like a Handy Haversack.
2) Create or purchase some sort of vest that assists my healing skill. Something like a Vest of Surgery.
3) Figure out if that black armor is usable by me, Inam or Kallik.
4) Start working on how to open the door in the catacombs.

Inam Smithrock |

Somone's gotta dig your grave anyway... ;-)
I'll give it some thought and come up with a priority of tasks

Kallik Sisa |

Battle scars are wonderful.
So we are back in the city again. Kallik would want to check on Egret of course. Beyond that I will need to think about it.
And I do believe my axe only gets temporary bonuses like that and otherwise is masterwork. So do you still want me to add a +1?

Kallik Sisa |

It is a proven fact that sleep deprived me is easily confused. That says good things for how my game will go tonight, they are probably gonna get away with way too much. I think I got confused at the reference to the temple. If I could edit the the post I would but I can't.
Thank you High Servant of Storytelling!

Inam Smithrock |

No worries Kallik. :-)
High Servant, I'm not seeing where my weapon was +1 already. Unless I missed it somewhere, I'm just +1 on it now.

High Servant of Volcano |

I looked it up (I've been keeping track of wealth because it's so easy to forget)
So far you have all gotten:
+1 Weapon = 2000 each
+1 Armor = 1000 each
+ 1 saves = 1000 each (this also went on your armor)
(sacrifices in the Temple)
So Khong 10/18 = 3330 from platinum pieces
Permanent resist 5 fire (self, not on an items)
And now, I'm saying Kallik and Inam are getting an additional +1.
Those sacrifices were a really long time ago, and I may not have worded it very well. I don't have the energy to go hunting for the original post right now :)
During the break will be a good time to audit your sheets, making sure items, gold, tagline, etc are all looking good.

Inam Smithrock |

Yes, I recall the killing of the vultures. Just lost the bonus it seems along the way. :-)
So Khong 10/18? o.O I'm intrigued by that...we need to kill him 8 more times? lol

Ibinu Kemish |

I’ll take a look over things. Are we looking at leveling too?

Ibinu Kemish |

Level 6 changes
Skills Improved: 8/lvl + free Craft (Alchemy) : DD, Heal, K: Arcana, K: Engineering, K: Nature, Perception, Survival, K: Planes.
Bombs: 1 more per day, +1 DC on splash save
HP: +7 (5 class, 1 con, 1 favored class)
BAB: +1
Saves: +1 to all from magic armor, +1 to all from leveling, +2 Poison Resistance (I thought I lost from chirurgeon but apparently did not)
Class Changes: Swift Poisoning (May apply a poison as a swift action)
Discovery: Healing Touch
Spell Changes
1 new lvl 2 known formula: See Invisibility
1 extra lvl 2 slot: See Invisibility
I also, if able (I already have a lot on my plate the next month), would sink some crafting efforts into some knockout poisons. Especially for those times when we want to not kill. (WHICH IS ALL THE FREAKING TIME OMG INAM SERIOUSLY!!!) :P

Ok, found it:
spell * caster * 10 = price
CLW = 1 * 5 * 10 = 50 price = 25 selling price
CMW = 2 * 5 * 10 = 100 price = 50 selling price
Last time it looks like you were just making and selling one CLW and one CMW, which would now get you 75 gp/day. You could dedicate more of your daily extracts to selling though, so let me know.

Inam Smithrock |

K...first things first.
I am amazing! **Cough Cough** I mean, new magics for weapon...narrowed down to 2 options.
High Servant: Which do you find more thematic for Inam? I see both making sense for her, but the second would need your all powerful approval. :-P
A merciful weapon deals an extra 1d6 points of damage, but all damage it deals is nonlethal damage. On command, the weapon suppresses this ability until told to resume it (allowing it to deal lethal damage, but without any bonus damage from this ability).
A bane weapon excels against certain foes. Against a designated foe, the weapon's enhancement bonus is +2 better than its actual bonus. It also deals an extra 2d6 points of damage against such foes. To randomly determine a weapon's designated foe, roll on the following table.
=========Leveling==============
Skills: (2 + Background 1) +1 Craft Armor, +1 Diplomacy, +1 TBD
LoH/Channel: 1 more LoH per day from level, Gain 2 per High Servant's Boon, Gain 2 per day Channel per High Servant Boon
HP: +9 (6+2Con +1 Favored)
BAB: +1
Saves: +1 All from level
Class Changes: Gain 2nd Mercy --> See Below <--
No extra spells per day, but I kind of like the two immediate action spells I have prepped. Anyone has a request or suggestion for a change to them, feel free to suggest it.
Currently have Fatigued Mercy - If subject is fatigued when I LoH them, the fatigued condition is ended.
If not under an affect ended by my mercy, my LoH grants you more HP
Shaken
Sickened
Dazed
Diseased
Staggered

Ok, found it:
spell * caster * 10 = price
CLW = 1 * 5 * 10 = 50 price = 25 selling price
CMW = 2 * 5 * 10 = 100 price = 50 selling price
Last time it looks like you were just making and selling one CLW and one CMW, which would now get you 75 gp/day. You could dedicate more of your daily extracts to selling though, so let me know.
I'd like to do the same as I did last time. Half my extracts sold and Half donated to the poor/hospitals etc... Healing and Helping townfolk are still high priorities. I'll save 1 level 1 potion slot prepared as a shield elixir in case I run across an issue somewhere.
So that would be 2 CLW and 2 CMW sold for a total of 150g per day.
I'm also guessing the easiest way to manage the gear I want is to just to straight up purchase it? The haversack costs 2k and is by far my biggest priority, so the first couple days of production will go to cover what I need to buy that. After that, the money will be sunk into potions of CMW production (200g per potion for the materials) and Blue Whinnis Poison (30g per poison for the materials). I don't know how you wish to handle crafting the poisons, but the potions take 1 day of crafting per potion.
On the days I craft the poisons, I'll be preparing and using Crafter's Fortune instead of Shield and hoping I don't get robbed in my room. Are we going by straight crafting rules from the Core Rule Book? There are also a set of rules in Pathfinder Unchained that are a bit simpler. I'm also fine with some sort of house-ruled system or whatever.
The unchained rules, for example, would give me a craft check DC of 14 for the poison. If I got a 14, I would craft 1/4 of the poison in one day. But for each 5 + I beat the DC, that would speed up. So if I got a 29 I would quadruple my amount and in 1 day I would craft 1 poison. With Crafter's Fortune and my current bonuses I'm sitting at a modifier of +24 so I'd likely be making 1 and a partial poison a day.

Buying = most simple way. If one of your party members loans you 1000, you could have it right away. Let me know when you plan on buying the haversack - that will require some RP to find. You are knowledgeable enough to know that A) other elen inclined toward the arcane have heard of such a thing and B) you would be expect to find several such items in the capital of the ifrit.
I'll have to ponder the crafting etc rules. I'll have an answer this weekend, and we'll see how much time you have for crafting as the days accumulate.
Are you going to immediately dedicate 100% of your time to crafting, or do you have any errands around the town you want to do first?

This works, I'll go searching for it after I accumulate some money from selling elixirs. I'm sure the search will eat into my days and I'll be happy to RP while my allies are off on 'real life' adventures. This, of course, only occurs if my wife hasn't popped yet. :D

I do not expect to have every day free for crafting or even money making, we can break things into smaller chunks to figure out how it all plays out.
Are you going to immediately dedicate 100% of your time to crafting, or do you have any errands around the town you want to do first?
Next few actions breakdown time!
Immediately I would check on the portal. If open, I would assist the mephits back to their plane which is now and forever known as "the place where So Khong isn't evil but is at least still a dick". Then either help to close the portal or confirm it isn't a threat to the town. I would then confirm with Kallik and/or her vibrating weapon that the elder tree being is not a threat to the town. I would then take Inam to the black armor to get her 'armor crafting' thoughts, hopefully to determine what kind of armor it is, what benefits it provides and if any of us can safely wear it. If we don't figure that stuff out I'll just put it on and see if I die.
After that (dead or alive), I'll begin the daily routine of making monies and giving away elixirs. (I'm only about 320 gold short of 2k so that adventure should come up quickly)

High Servant of Volcano |

1) Kallik can confirm that her axe 'assisted' her (without telling her at first) by closing the original rift behind you guys when you first entered. The 'finger bone' portal closed immediately, so all is good there!
2) Once you start asking around, it seems like all the mephits disappeared shortly after the rift was closed. Just by taking 10 on a knowledge, Ibinu would know that mephits are not particularly strong - they are considered scavengers. They tend to slip through a weak area first, then wait for more dangerous things to come through (then the mephits pick over the leavings)
It's not too big a stretch to imagine they slipped back through while the rift area was still somewhat permeable.
3) I'd like to hear from Kallik if botting would be the way to go with the encounter with the tree.
4) You could do the armor now, if Inam is still around to RP with you. (or I can bot)

Craft Armor: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

High Servant of Volcano |

Very well-made leather armor, made from a technique you aren't familiar with. It is studded leather essentially, with no armor check penalty. It also has a +2 magical enhancement bonus, and possibly one other enchantment you cannot identify on your own. Ibinu can tell you what he knows about it.
Good call about Culkin, Ibinu I was trying to think of an NPC you might talk to as I was typing, and I didn't think about your previous conversation first.
