There'll be time to sleep when we are dead! Brinn is catching up on his now....too soon?
I am enjoying the game as well. As for my motivations, that more or less sums it up. Perhaps someday converting my family/tribe. Though my opinion of the sylph race may not be overly high at this point in life. :-P

Is it bad that I laughed at that one? I am a bad person.
Also that perception check was bad. You must release your anger. Anger leads to hate and hate leads to the dark side... Which you are immune to.. hmm.. Embrace the rage! We could be a group of ragers!

Kallik Sisa |

Mostly I want to make sure people do not mind before I get to attached to the idea. I do tend to try and collect people :D
As to Kallik's getting attached that is mostly because the kid has no one and Kallik is generally a good person. Her heartstrings are very easy to get at. I have a player in the game I G< for who is like that and he is so much fun to mess with and so easy to drag into plot if I hit his heart strings. Or as he calls it "Punch him in the feels!"
Kallik desperately wants a place and people to belong to and that want her around. If she has to build that that is fine. So Khong is just no welcome ;)
Also she is rather protective and her heart bleeds for others. I try to give all of my characters a weakness, something that hits them hard. And you hit that. Kids are a bit of a weakness for her. Egret brought the drug thing to her attention. Normally she would stay out of it but they kill people for one little fix. This may turn into a obsession for her.

I influenced that :)

Hanging back further from the smells of the alchemists room. Tentatively taking one of the little vials and storing all the while ignoring So Khong's words. Twisting her head quickly and staring at Iman with a slightly shocked look before sucking in a deep breath Flighty creature.
Tightening her grip on her 'blessed' weapon and striding forward to walk just behind Inam. Once they are out of So Khong's potential hearing the oread reaches out and grabs Iman's wrist, "Iman. Do not let you need for vengeance cloud your mind. Anger like that will steal your focus and get you killed."
Letting go of her wrist, "Take a breath and calm yourself. There will be time for anger later."
I did state that she did not start this conversation until So Khong was out of hearing range

Ibinu, I have an old school summoner in Society play with a feat you may find interesting. Godless Healing is excellent for him. He's fought alongside "gods" and still finds them unworthy of his worship. :-P
He's a half-orc with the special feats needed for "universal monster ferocity" so it's great! Sac my health every round to the pet and suddenly self heal to baffle the GMs.

Ibinu gilas Akoi |

yep. familiar with the feat been thinking of taking it but so many yummes out theere,

Yeah, So Khong didn't hear any of that, so that last mocking bow can just be in the inquisitor's general direction.

Hey guys, I'm going to be pulling 12s at work for the next three days so you may not see much in the way of posts from me during that time. I'll try to check in/keep up as much as I can but it may not be until Friday night or Saturday before I'll get caught up. As always, feel free to bot me for combat/skill checks as needed!

Inam Smithrock |

No worries.

Inam Smithrock |

Hope you don't mind Bian, but I stole the links off your profile.

Ibinu gilas Akoi |

communing with the unknown but all powerful god of the game....me... is always good

Trinh Thi Bian |
Not at all, Inam - they're there for my own reference as well as anyone who happens to check out my profile :)
In other news, I seem to have picked up the flu but right now I'm in an 'under the weather' state rather than the typical 'totally miserable' state that seems to accompany it. Hopefully this is because it was caught early and the meds I got will knock it out quickly. If so, I guess I'll have plenty of free time to post while I recover at home this week?

Trinh Thi Bian |
Okay folks, just wanted to mention that I've recently decided to drop some of the games that I'm in as I've slowly let myself get overwhelmed. I'm staying in this one for the time being since we're just getting started and I'd hate to cut out right after just getting settled into the group, though if dropping the ones that I did still doesn't help then I might have to cut a few more :\

Inam Smithrock |

I understand, though would like to see you stick around. Hope it all works out.
All the undine's Inam meets perishing could give her a complex. ;-)

Ibinu gilas Akoi |

stick around.
Btw I forgot to add/subtract the entangled issue on my rolls.

Inam Smithrock |

Glad you approve Kallik. I'm trying to change it every few posts. :-P

It is really confusing to Kallik which is entertaining. I do not think the Oread's are a people of nicknames and I love those! Hehe McStonington haha I love it as much as stone face!

Inam Smithrock |

YAY! I'll try to get Inam leveled sometime today.
Don't know about you guys but this whole lack of (x) new posts is really throwing me off.

Trinh Thi Bian |
Hey guys, I'm sorry for the continued lagging on posts (current forum issues aside); work has been busier than usual lately and flipping from day shift to night shift and back so much leaves me tireder than usual at times. For example I worked unexpectedly Tuesday night and then spent nearly all of yesterday and last night catching up on sleep aside from maybe 5-6 hours awake taking care of some errands and such. Unfortunately I'm not sure that it's going to get any better anytime soon. In light of that, I think it might be best for me (and for the game as a whole) if I bow out now. And an admittedly more selfish reason for me to continue dropping some games is that I'm starting to dip my toes into being a GM and would like to make sure I've got the necessary time and bandwidth to focus on doing that from time to time as well.
I really, really, really hate to do so just when we're really getting rolling and after the work put into creating Bian and after the work I'm sure High Servant has been doing planning things out for her inclusion in the game and after my friend Kallik was nice enough to invite me in in the first place. I really do and I promise that this decision isn't a reflection on High Servant, the other players, or the game in general. It's more that I still need to work on cutting games and so it makes more sense to cut more recent additions as opposed to games that I've already been playing in for some time. Maybe if High Servant doesn't see fit to kill Bian off she can fade into the background and perhaps even make a return if my schedule ever lightens up enough for me to rejoin the game. Either way though, it's been a joy playing with everyone for the short time that I did and I'll always be thankful for the warm welcome I received here. Here's to good gaming to you all and I'll hopefully see you around the forums (any PFS players?) in the future!

Inam Smithrock |

This lack of (x) new post is annoying...
That aside, I'm leaving Saturday (March 25th) to head out of state. Father-in-law is having brain surgery Monday. Not entirely sure how my internet access will be so my posting may be sporadic next week.
@Bian: Sad to see you go, but I do understand. I did overnights for 11 years and it was jarring to say the least when I switched to day shift.
I am a PFS player and I'm currently involved in a few PFS games on these boards as well.
Take care and I hope to see you around.

Ouchies...
High Servant of Volcano, do my Smite Evil, Lay on Hands and HP reset now? Or later?

High Servant of Volcano |

1) Inam, thanks for letting me know about your situation next week. Hope everything goes well with the surgery.
2) Let's wait to reset HP and such until resting.
3) Bian,
First, thank you for being upfront about your situation. I had a player from this table and my other table vanish with no explanation, so it really makes a difference to hear what's going on. Again, thank you. Sorry to see you go of course, but I concur that real life always comes first.
Not that I like to tip my narrative hand, but I am not planning on killing Bian, unless the dice roll that way. I'd love to see you back, if you get the the point where you feel comfortable adding games back into your schedule.
One small favor: Since I'm planning on having Bian stick around for now, I'd like to do as good a job as I can RPing her. Let me know if you have any ideas (history, personality, secrets, etc) that are not currently in your profile.

Inam Smithrock |

Sounds good.
Being my first paladin (and Non-Borderline Evil character) ever...I now get access to a mercy. Any requests from you guys? I'm thinking Fatigue.

Ibinu gilas Akoi |

Sorry been short on keeping up. Life is that is all i have to say.
BIAN to bad you gotta leave but RL before the brain play of course
I will level Ibinu when I get an opportunity but it will be a few days before I really get a chance to.
I will most likely be more in the background for a bit as work and home life adjustments are being made. I have no intention of leaving at this point and will let you all know IF ever that becomes an issue.Feel free to gm me if needed to move things along should me responses not be time relative.

Trinh Thi Bian |
@High Servant & Gang - You're welcome and thank you for being understanding! I understand that life can happen unexpectedly and that not everyone puts a particularly high priority on communicating such to what most often amounts to internet strangers. However I personally feel that it's still a bi rude to just leave people hanging (and in the dark) forever so I always try to give some sort of explanation if I need to leave a game or if my posting rate is going to drop/has dropped.
Off the top of my head I don't have a lot else concrete in mind for Bian since I was still very much feeling out her character in general. Do you also want me to go ahead and level her to 3rd before I have you mark me as an inactive player?

Kallik Sisa |

Work broke my brain, then I got sick, and the website hide the dots so that is why I have not been chiming in. I am rather behind on all of my games.
Bian it is always a pleasure to play with you. I wish you the best of luck and if you come back that would a delight.
On that note GM are you wanting to try and recruit?
And yes I will want to catch up with Egrit! She is my first damsel so she matters. Also she is a child and leaning towards the slaughter drugs which I want to look into.

High Servant of Volcano |

I don't think I'll be recruiting. The way I envision this table is misfits that inadvertently got hit with some dark-resistant mojo. Bian is the new undine of the party, and it's good that you guys have a friendly inquisitor to smooth things over if things get bad at the Temple, but I can't see how "random ifrit rogue with no darkness resistance" could narratively fit with the party.
Seems like we've all been having a long week on top of the no-update weirdness, so I'm definitely up for some low-key RP with whoever is around this upcoming week.
