so...I am having a hard time feeling this character. I liked the premise I started with but I am not sure how to use it in game.
sUGGESTIONS??

What was your original concept?
What drives him as a elen?
What kind of quirks, likes, dislikes does he have?
What does he love and what does he hate?
One thing you could do is more interacts with Inam and I. Ibinu is a rather quiet guy, which can work in PbP. But to make the silent guy work you might try putting his thoughts out there for everyone to read.

original concept was someone out to prove that the gods couldnt control what he did. He currently is looking for away to end the curse or use it to his advantage without "repenting" for his offense. He left his group of merchants/tinkers because he didnt want them hurt when he raged. He wants to return to his glass blowing and group but doesnt want anyone to have the chance of getting hurt from him. He doesn;t care so much about hurting or endangering those that aren't his closest friends/family.
As he gets mad/rages, he gets faster and faster spending little time on hard hitting and focusing more on rapid pokes and avoiding the enemy's attacks.[thus dodge and extra speed from rage ability and curse is strong so extra rage rounds as well]He resents the gods for meddling in his life and is very out spoken about it although he letss few know they cursed him and why.
He hates others thinking that the ifrits are top honchos just because of their race. When not raging he tends to be subtle if he needs to attack using things like his wind gust etc. But once he feels a slight is to big to avoid or the danger is great then his curse draws from his emotions and causes his rage to erupt.
He loves to create things with his hands and the more beautiful they are the more his satisfaction increases.
I thought about all of this as I created him. I like the premise but strggle to place it in words and game.

She sees the consummation by fire better. It seems a more pure way to join with her deity than through something else's digestive system. Though she'd rather not be kept on a shelf collecting dust in a jar. She would appreciate her ashes being spread in an area of reverence to Volcano, specifically the Warrior aspect if possible.
:-P
Edit: Also one of the reason's she's requested burial as an ifrit, if worthy on death, as opposed being buried as lowly sylph.

One thing I want to avoid is the whole "we've been playing for five years and we're only 5 days into the campaign" thing.
Now that there are no immediate threats, I'd like to hear what your characters would like to do, given a few weeks of downtime. What are your goals in Hearth?
Bian is certainly going to be training martially, to be more ready for the next mission (whenever that is). She is unlikely to seek any of you out, but would talk to you if you approached her. She is spending time alone and time with her mentor.

Kallik Sisa |

There are elen who are preying on children and they need to be stopped! Other than that Kallik would want to learn more about these darkspawn since it is apparently her fate to do epic battle with them.
But for fun things she would want to get to know Egret, Inam, and Ibinu more. So bonding time :D
For funeral rights Kallik would want to be buried and have a tree planted over her if the traditional options are no longer available to her since she fled her tribe.

Ibinu gilas Akoi |

Ibinu would take the time to find somewhere he could work with glass again.
He has no preference on grave or burial rights should he die.
He's looking to find out more about the others so that he can see if they will now be his "new" family.

I'm sorry for my lack of posting lately. Been a rough week. Daughter turned 14 and graduated Jr. High, grandmother had a remembrance get together for my grandfather, had a coworker fired at work (and was stuck covering) and had a death in the family (funeral is Friday morning in another state so may not be able to post Friday).
Inam's desires are to better understand her role as a sentinel of the Warrior (Volcano), and the meaning of this chicken walking into her life from the forge. She also wishes to get to know her companions better and find out what issues her god feels she needs to fix in the region.
I'm not going to be able to get a post up tonight, had a rough shift which included an infant's death and dove into a bottle of whiskey when I got home. I'll get one up in the am.
I apologize again. I am truly enjoying this campaign and Inam. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to participate. :-D

Kallik Sisa |

I am sorry for your loss, take whatever amount of time you need.
Also know that the fact that I have a paladin being lead by a chicken entertains not only me but the friends that have to listen to me ramble about this game

Kallik Sisa |

I hope so as well. Two players might be a little hard. Not that the chicken Paladin and the confused Bloodrager could not manage :) I do hope our temperamental barbarian comes back to us.

Inam Smithrock |

True, it would be more difficult to maintain our superiority over the other group.
They are only 48 posts behind us now!

Inam Smithrock |

Sorry for my delay this weekend.
Paizo wasn't letting me connect...at all.

Inam Smithrock |

My 6th 12hr day in a row. Was wiped last night...
I'll get a post up sometime today. ...Need coffee...

Rejoice! The Games and Sports page has been updated! I've got one sport and one game for every race, so I doubt this will be updated again, unless we run into something new in the story.

Ibinu gilas Akoi |

ill be able to post probably tuesday. Still struggling with this toon. Any chance of trading in a diff character while we are ina town?

High Servant of Volcano |

Hmm, that would really strain narrative credibility to just have some random new guy pop in.
If you aren't feeling Ibinu's current direction/personality, I can work with you in terms of a narrative device to change him up. Ideas off the top of my head:
1) Start asking around the Temple how to help with your curse
2) Look around town for sylphan alchemical or arcane cures
3) You have an oread in the party, so asking around the Stone Town slums for some kind of shamanistic cure could work
Being that the curse is central to your original concept, I think that A) modifying or getting rid of it and B) using whatever price/toll a given cure exacts from you would be a good place to start.
I'm open to pretty drastic changes (class, personality, etc), as long as they make some amount of narrative sense. I'm not open to a completely new character that comes out of nowhere.

Focusing on your curse could definitely help give Ibinu a sense of purpose.
Other than that so far Ibinu has been a rather quiet man outside of dealing with So Khong could start to come out of his shell. Be a little more out going. If there are things Kallik could do or topics I can use to help make that feel more organic I will happily do.
Ibinu is rather focused on his hatred of the Divine and glass blowing. Is there anything else that motivates him? If there are things you want to motivate him but are not sure how to enact them throw the idea out there and we can help.
In Kallik's case kids are a definite weakness/motivator for Kallik, and most of my characters, and having Egret around lets the GM drag me by the nose. Which I love! Beyond that she wants to find a new family since she no longer belongs to her tribe. So for Kallik she will either learn to be content on her own or earn a new family, which I prefer. The whole being a hero thing is just a nice bonus.

long day at work training a moron...and then spent several hours visiting grandmother in hospital...I'm beat. Will update tomorrow

I think in the intrest of fairness, I will withdraw. My posting isn't what the game needs and I do not feel like I am contributing much. I like the overall world that is being developed but am not feeling connecion to it myself.
Thanks for letting me join for the short time that I was with you.
Hopefully, you find another to play.

Inam Smithrock |

Sorry to see you go Ibinu. Thanks for hanging around with us and best of luck in your future games.

High Servant and Inam do we want to continue with two or recruit? I am having far to much fun in this world and I can go either way, I just want to see it though to the end. Cause I get to attack the darkness!

High Servant of Volcano |

Inam was kind enough to suggest a friend that is interested in the campaign. Since Ibinu is one of the "blessed" against the darkness, I've asked him to take over Ibinu (albeit with some changes to the character, which we'll get more into soon)
Inam, feel free to link Peter H to the discussion thread (and the campaign in general)

Ibinu Kemish |

Thanks! I'm looking forward to stirring up the local ifrits! :D
Also so... I tried to ghost dot into the gameplay thread but did not pay attention to my 'post as' avatar. A certain halfling (Kaya) is now listed in the character section. She can be deleted or moved or whatever.

Inam Smithrock |

I'll likely be busy on the 4th, but aside from that, I shouldn't be out of reach more than normal.
