I am here as well. Sorry for my lack, but things have been extremely crazy at work this week, and not sure if it's going to get any better any time soon. Then when I finally get home and have some free time ... well, I just bought myself a PS4 and after having been without a gaming system for 5-6 yrs ...
Having said that though, I do want to comment that it seems we frequently get some sort of 'hook' or other, example, 'Sink hole', or when we were on our way to see the town's overseer and the DM points out a house that stands out from the others, or currently a Duergar pacing in the road, but we don't get any clues as to what we are to do ... it is very difficult for me at least to figure out what I should do. If this were 3.5, I would have immediately attacked just because he's a Duergar. But I know Pathfinder changed how some races work, and I don't know what the DM is thinking either obviously ... so is he supposed to be a friendly or what? Now once we spotted the purple thingy on his neck that helps. But still not sure how to proceed honestly.
Currently I'm thinking if the color spray doesn't work, then we need to try to do NLD to knock him uncoscious maybe? And get a closer look at the purple thingy to see if it seems to be a parasite of some sort that attached itself to it or what? Maybe we can cut it off then?
Does anyone have any way to get into the duergar's mind? Like telepathy or something? We need to try to figure out is the purple thingy controlling him or is he still in control?
Anyways, just some thoughts to throw out there. Was not my intention but kinda made up for my lack of posts by quantity here?

I can beat him up!

DM is thinking either obviously"
I am thinking that not knowing what to do is what makes a Role Playing game so much fun, deciding what you want to do and the consequences of that action are the crux of why most players play. You should embrace your decision making process and player ignorance as fun, or this might become a tedious experience for you.

Good point. I will try to do so.

Was Kaz's colour spray unsuccessful or does she need to wait until her initiative now?
Initiative

Kazushi |

We don't have a tactical map for this one. Just wanted to check I can colour spray without hitting my friends.
And my initiative tied with the duergar. Do players go first in such ties? Or if using the Raw, Kazushi's initiative mod is +9.
It is Squirm first though I believe.

You have a + 9 to your initiative? WOW! You go girl or oops, guy! ;)

Kazushi |

It is quite OK to call Kazushi girl.
The first couple of Japanese names I tried were taken. So I tried Kazushi, which was not, after the remarkable, now retired Japanese, martial artist Kazushi Sakaraba. Whether it can be a female name too I don't know. It sounds asian.
And the initiative is +3 dex, +2 reactionary trait and +4 improved initiative feat.

Before I make my GM post, hopefully before my lunch is over, just want to again, check in with everyone.
So you are quite a powerful bunch of adventurers, so much so that every encounter (Going back to the Opened Mind) except this one, I have modified to make harder. As I read through the rest of the AP, I know for a fact that you will breeze through the combats without batting an eye.
In RL, I have X many free hour(s) to devote to games. In those hour(s), I like to post IC on the games I play, or develop well thought out GM posts in the games I run. Lately, my X time has been greatly reduced, and what time I do have to devotee to this game has been spent on modifying the villains.
For simplicity sake, I am going to 'handwave' some of the combats, all of the optional combats, in order to be more story focused. There is a story as we move to Part 1, Chapter 2, the Hirauu Forest.
So without further ado ::waves hand::

More power to you!

It sounds like a sensible response to a lack of free time GM Bob.

Yes, it sounds like the smart move there.

I would like to formally apologize to all you, my wonderful players. Over the last few weeks I have struggled to balance Real Life and my so important gaming hobby. It is fairly obvious I have failed to garner enough time and effort into this game lately.
Last night I received some news that will drastically alter my Real Life. Due to this, I will be unable to run this game.
I thank you for all the hard work and effort you all put into this game, and I am truly sorry that things have to come to an end abruptly. Honestly I have no choice.
I wish you all well, and in the future, when I resume my PbP Pathfinder hobby I hope to cross paths with you. Until then, I hope you find enjoyment in other games and continue to fill tables.
Godspeed.

Ah, well, thanks for the game all.

Christaph - The Elan Psion |

Sorry to hear that Bob. I understand. Hope RL things go well for you.

Squirm |

Sorry to see you go Gm, I hope everything gets easier for you and you can get back to something you enjoy soon enough. Thank you for the good times I had here.
Thank you all, it has been a pleasure.

I have much enjoyed the game. Best wishes Bob.
