@kuey, your PC might not necessarily know all of the below, but you should for context:
The party was summoned to Dustpawn to investigate a strange meteor/comet/??? that just landed. When advancing through town, they noticed the locals seem strangely antagonistic and jumpy. Anyway, they met their contact, Dalviss Crenn, at his bar. Crenn told them that 1) his cook, Leeara, has gone missing 2) a bunch of Drumish prospectors are staying at his inn, but demanded to have their own room, and made sure to keep it magically locked when they weren't there.
The party examined Leeara's room and found her journal. They deduced that she gets many ingredients from Old Frog Swamp and that she's sometimes stayed there.
They then broke into the prospectors' room and found a map with a circle and an X on it. Cup used Residual Tracking to reveal the prospectors' appearance, and noticed they were wearing amulets that match the Dominion of the Black cult.
The party ventured to Old Frog Swamp in search of Leeara, killed some big toads, and has now entered a cave where they found a feral girl and two more animals.
