Ishirou starts as Mikail address him. He nods along when asked if he were on the crew. Instead of his usual stoicism, the idea of looking at the little rowboat actually makes him do something for once.

Without speaking, but showing a never-before-seen grin, he departs to the shore, and begins to give the small craft the once over.

Ishirou glares at Harbek as the dwarf tries to cheer him. "Belt buckle not help now." he says sullenly "Ishirou make peace then death ok."

He steps away from the camp, and sits on a large rock, silently staring out into space.

If you explore, which way do you go? Anything in particular you are looking for?

I was counting Marik still. My bad, we are at 8 as you say.

Ishirou shrugs when confronted by Harbek. "We all die here!" says the Tien man, in broken Common. "I make ready to die."

Interaction with the NPC's should usually come with a Diplomacy check, especially if you are interested in changing their attitude.

The lean quiet Tien man, at first bristles at your approach, his hand dropping to his katana at his belt.

Then as he recognizes you, he doesn't exactly smile, but at least gives you a slight bow. He points inside the tent, motioning that way with his head.

Ishirou doesn't speak either, but just looks blankly as if doesn't understand any of what is being said.

"I not get it," says Ishirou deadpan. The only words you have heard him speak all day.

Ishirou, who hasn;t spoken a word since the wreck, gets up from his squatting position when asked to help. He nods to Mikhail, and then begins to assist, showing the bard how to tie certain sailor's knots that will help secure the tent in wind. He grunts as he works, and makes a few hand motions, but does not speak.

Ishirou survival, aid: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

That help will shave another hour off the project time, making it 6 hours now.

Smythe finds all his combat and adventuring gear in the pile, as does any player who goes and gears up there.

The next body on the beach is an older Tien man, with a scraggly greying beard and pony tail. He is very lean and rugged looking. As he is woken, he looks around the beach and jungle carefully studying the surroundings silently. Then he shrugs, as if to say, "What can you do?" and squats in the sand, drawing strange pictograms with a stick.

There remains only the Garundi man in manacles left unconscious.

Just to be clear, besides Ishirou, there is still one other castaway unconscious on the beach, a half-elven woman.

Mikhail approaches the still form of the Tien man, who boarded not long before in Bloodcove. The man is quite rugged looking, with graying hair worn in a wet, messy ponytail. He also wears a perpetually scruffy beard.

After being stirred awake, Ishirou sits up wordlessly taking in his unusual surroundings. He nods at the bard curly, then stands, dusts himself off, and heads over to the pile of gear, where he retrieves a finely made katana and a chain shirt. Once geared, he squats in the sand, eyes down on the beach.
