Ardiente wrote:"believe me, it was a pleasure. Even still I am glad as heroics are best preformed well rested, or so I've heard"
"I'm glad." he replies to the news of the Sun's successful evacuation, and there is real relief in his voice."Pleasure." Ardiente says, puffing his chest out slightly a bit as he returns the handshake firmly with the other man, noting with some curiosity the warmth and smoothness of his skin. "I'm glad you were riding with Raelle, otherwise I might have had to perform some thrilling heroics." he says, trying a grin with that, maybe posturing a little for Raelle's sake. Unfortunately for that effort, he wobbles a bit at the end from fatigue, his brain feeling loopy more tha his muscles failing him. Raelle is there though, and after a moment he's stable once more.
"Yeah...I think I'd better get him inside," she said, keeping an arm around Ardiente to keep him from actually falling over from exhaustion. "It's getting a little chilly out here for firebirds anyway. Thanks for all your help today, Arthur."
"And no arguing with me," she said to Ardiente. "You're in no shape to stay up. My turn to take care of you, 'kay?"

Reviarti |

"So kind of like a 'what spell are you' quiz some of the magazines in the library run. Interesting. How do you plan on going about finding it?"
"Well, the spell in mind would mirror you soul in several ways, changing to the caster's nature. It might not even be possible."

Ghalen Kiln |

Goes in search of Ehos and Jaiye, using the arrows to guide him...

Ardiente |

Ardiente had indeed been about to offer an argument when his brain sent his mouth a sternly worded message: 'Dude shut up she said she was going to take care of us', after which Ardiente was definitely not going to continue to be stubborn. He did like the tingles that her warmth was giving him though, arm around him as it was. He hadn't even noticed the chill in the air until Raelle had pointed it out.
"Alright. That sounds nice. Good to meet you Arthur. And don't worry about Raelle. Skimmer driving aside, she can handle herself just fine." he said to his strangely warm peer, before putting his own arm around Raelle and letting her lead him away.

Raelle del Sol |

"Mind if I come with? I kinda made a promise to look after you till stuff dies down"
She shrugged. "We're just going inside the school...pretty sure you're allowed to go inside," she said, grinning. "But you don't need to worry, I'm perfectly safe now. We're inside the school wards."
She tried not to make an outward show of it, but inside she was insanely happy to have Ardiente say that about how she could handle herself. His confidence in her meant a lot.

Ardiente |

Ardiente shrugs, trying to play it off as the trio make their gradual way up to the school. Briefly, Ardiente wonders if they should just leave the skimmer there, but it's a fleeting thought, gone quickly and before it's given voice. "Well... I've only slept about 3 or 4 hours in the past five days or so... and it's been a somewhat hellish five days, with a few notable exceptions." he finishes, glancing at Raelle and smiling a little sheepishly. "But, we did it Raelle. Fieri and I were able to reach all of them before the Sun ended. Barely. We had a few minutes to spare."

Ghalen follows the arrows to the cafeteria, and sees Jaiye and Ehos speaking with other students. He walks up to the table...
"Pardon my intrusion. Jaiye and Ehos, Tyrrin wanted me to let you both know that we have returned from our excursion. While neither one of us was seriously harmed, Tyrrin is now also aiding in a matter in Kuros."

"Ace" |

Upon hearing about his best friend, who isn't his girlfriend, having gone on some expedition and is now involved in some other situation, Ace pauses his convo with Silinrul and turns his attention to the newcomer I can't remember if Ace and Ghalen have met or not. "What's Ty gotten herself into now? She alright?"

Lim-Môr Azair'vialys |

"Hm. Sounds interesting. If you want a lab partner or guinea pig, I'm up for it."

Roel |

"If you say so. You seem pretty set on it, just so long as you know what you want to do."
He takes Jello out of his top pocket and places him on the table.
"Want to try some of those commands now? I can pull out something non sentient if you want, if we even need a subject that is. It's just language, right?"
"Uh... Kinda. It's mostly simple expressions of emotion, that get more compliacted for us sentient slimes."

Anahita bint Tariq |

He smiles again "I guess you could say I'm an interested party as to what's transpiring within this 'dreary, dank hole'
"It would appear a rescue mission at this point, and the potential preparations needed to avoid invasion to this land by entities lured here by ... Well, goals that do not match those of these villagers. Clearly they are in need of defending, seeing as a pattern of abuse is forming. I do believe at this point, the main purpose of the mission is complete, which is primarily driven by that girl there," indicating Vai with her non-jewelry wrapped hand, "and her friend and family ties. I'm fairly sure it can be explained easier, but I am uncertain of your end goals and how much of the situation you may already know. We are threatened by enemies that can strike at any moment and this is not my domain to alter. Does this realm have defenders of the down trodden and weak who are prayed upon? It may be best to advise them of the details and thus arm those that can bring about proper defense the information necessary to do so. I suspect these villagers, given the little history I have heard and witnessed now, are I'll equipped to do so. Excuse me, stranger," she politely ends the conversation.
She speaks with an accent, Common, or whatever the main language is known as, clearly not her original one and no magics employed to aid translation. Through her speech, it does appear she gives the information without being attached to the situation, while remaining alert and perceptive of her surroundings as the villagers come out of the recently opened cage.
Turning to look towards Vai, Anahita asks, "Vai, do you see your parents? We should not linger in this unhealthy place, with the threat of whatever these machines and their prior owners might have to the people of your village. Not to mention the poisons potentially unseen to body and soul. If others were to return we are not accounting for, this could turn into a blood bath."
With that said, Anahita nods politely once to the man she'd been speaking with, seemingly 'done' with her part of the conversation, moving to another part of the interior where she is away from the recently freed masses yet able to keep an eye out on the cavern and it's entrance. It would be fairly obvious that she isn't being casual about unseen threats or her part in being there. Perhaps she is overly paranoid, or perhaps she is just eager to get out of the cave.

Yeah they met at her observatory
"She and others have been tasked by the headmaster to handle some kind of an outbreak in Kuros. They have the situation well in hand, and should return soon."

"I'm so glad. No one deserved to see that without some explanation, no matter what crimes they committed. I'm really proud of you for hanging in there through everything," she said giving him a quick kiss on the cheek and a fond smile. "But now it's definitely time for some rest. Whoa....let's try and keep you upright," she said, almost losing her grip on him as they turned towards the dorms. "At least long enough to make it to your room."

She raised an eyebrow. "Last time I checked that was code for the situation has gone to complete crap, but appears to still be salvageable if we change the definition of success. Is there anything we can do to help?"

"No, not at all. The threat in Kuros itself has been eliminated, and the remaining threat is being neutralized as we speak. I'm not sure who went along, but I trust Tyrrin will handle herself well."
He pauses
"Though, to be completely candid, I'm woefully unaware of any of the specifics. I just know it was some kind of sentient, magical, viral outbreak. One that a vaccine of sorts was found for. That "vaccine" has been delivered to Tyrrin and her companions, and will be administered to the remaining inflicted soon."

"I think there are supposed to be wards? And there's lots of people still outside here. So I guess we don't have too much to worry about as far as wandering creatures go. But it's starting to get really cold. I think it's definitely time to head back inside," she said, crossing her arms to keep in as much warmth as possible. Other than the night when she'd first arrived, she'd never experienced such cool temperatures.
"Fair enough." He grinned over at her, noted the crossed arms and rose up, ready to move.
"Let's find some place warmer. I trust the taking apart of your old home isn't going to have some sort of magical affect on your people-- right? I've never understood the need to _destroy_ things, but, cycle of life or something, I suppose. Applies to objects too, or whatever."
He motions towards the building's entrance and start walking over with her, brushing upper arm against hers, in an attempt to provide his own warmth, while heading to further warmth.
"This of course explains yet another reason to have more clothing. A warm jacket never hurts. You can always take clothing off, finding stuff to put on, that's the catch."
It won't take long for them to reach the interior of the school again and the warmer halls.
"Oh, not sure if you have, considered or not, but, you may want to speak with a councilor about school goals. Help them help you, as it were. Useful advice, maybe, not sure where that came from."
So, once back inside, where it's warmer, he glanced around and then back, "Better? Whatcha in the mood for? Think Rena's found that Bradley guy and what not? I honestly don't think we had specific plans for the evening, so .. kinda open ended here. Socialize with others?"
He glanced in the direction of the Cafeteria, or where memory made him glance.

Voice of Awesomeness |

After being filled in by the strange speaking girl, the young man nods as she excuses herself. He walks over to where Vai is looking at the strange machine "Vai is it? You remind me of dear friend of mine. In her honor, I would be remiss if I did not assist." He says, peering at the contraption intently.

"OK. Start with something simple? How about stay?"

Headmaster Ryo |

"A pleasure to meet you, Vare-sensei," she said bowing again before turning to the door and peeking in.
"Antairus-sama? Do you have a moment? I have a potential student here who requires....special handling," she said in a deferential tone.
"Let him in, Professor Tanaki. I've been expecting him."

Nanami Tanaka |

Nanami gave him a look that suggested she would not appreciate being called a raccoon-dog again. (typo there...it's supposed to be Tanaka :P)
She turned to Kodjack and gestured towards the door.
"The headmaster will see you now, Kodjack-kun. I'm sure I will be seeing you in PE class tomorrow."

Kodjack Winterblow |

Kodjack needed no further instruction after being assured he was invited into the headmaster's office, rushing his way right in. Before he forgot, though, he quickly turned back to Nanami, and remembered a bow taught to him by a pilgrim monk that once traveled through his tribe's territory. Placing his right fist into his left palm, he bent at the waist while looking Nanami in the eye, keeping low for two seconds before raising back up. "Thank you for the help," he then said, loud enough so the omens of luck would hear him return thanks for the help that was provided to him.
With that out of the way, he then rushed to the headmaster's desk, paying little attention to whoever or whatever may be in the way. He glanced around the place briefly after stopping, and then frowned, expecting there to be more heads of his slaughtered enemies decorating his walls. He also seemed rather short for someone with the title "High Seer." "I thought the master of heads would display his trophies," he then said, sounding rather disappointed, "and I thought you'd be a lot...taller." He then stuck out his hand, wanting to greet him as warriors should. "Kodjack Winterblow," he then introduced himself. "Cold and strong as the winter's storm. I already know you're the master of heads, so no need to introduce yourself there." Kodjack certainly started to sound rather excited, despite the prior disappointment. "I need you to make me smarter so I can take revenge for the death of my tribe. How do I start? Should I spar with you? Maybe just watch you conquer another tribe single-handedly? Or should I watch you take another head for your trophies?"

Kevin Ramos |

Kevin stops moving immediately when he makes the noise, as if there was a sense of danger. "So that means stay where you are. That's so cool! OK how about..."
I'm OK with fading out for a bit while Roel teaches him words and he finishes fireworks, if you are. I also just realized that I chose not to use bombs, but I now have him making fireworks...

Tybalt Baneko |

"I can take you to your room to drop that off if you want."
Tybalt produces a pair of thick leather gloves and some rectangular goggles. He doesn't seems to have the parachute one would think is required for this activity.

Reviarti |

"I thought you'd be more opposed to being a Guinea pig. Anyway, you cold defiantly help make it, i could use the help. Even with my collective memory, a second perspective is a godsend. My race can be rather one-minded, and you'll provide quite a bit of help."

"I'm already this bad, what's the worst that could happen? Heh."
"You could get us sent to another vacation in the land that smells like beige. That's always so pleasant."
"It's better than you deserve..."
As usual, he turns his face so that the personality that is talking's respective side is facing the other one.

Ardiente |

"I'm so glad. No one deserved to see that without some explanation, no matter what crimes they committed. I'm really proud of you for hanging in there through everything," she said giving him a quick kiss on the cheek and a fond smile. "But now it's definitely time for some rest. Whoa....let's try and keep you upright," she said, almost losing her grip on him as they turned towards the dorms. "At least long enough to make it to your room."
Ardiente nods somberly to that, focusing on simply staying upright after once again wobbling. He really should be better than this. But he was glad for Raelle's help, even if it was once again her helping him, rather than the other way around.
"I could melt that bit of stone there and just sleep in the lava. How about that?" Ardiente says, playing up his tiredness a bit, practically giddy at just a simple kiss on the cheek.

Lim-Môr Azair'vialys |

"It's true, though. He, you, and I all know he'd be sent to one of the hell planes if we weren't tied together. And I'd been in the Nirvana I've earned."
"If I got to go to my plane, at least I'd be minor nobility. You'd just be another one of the faceless masses."
"Guys quit! I can't eat if you keep argueing. I have better things to be doing with my mouth."

Ehos Denulia |

"No, not at all. The threat in Kuros itself has been eliminated, and the remaining threat is being neutralized as we speak. I'm not sure who went along, but I trust Tyrrin will handle herself well."

'Sounds like a regular weekend for Tyrrin then.' Ehos displays off-handedly, grinning slightly at his own joke. Of course, if Ghalen hadn't been so sure of their success, he might have been a bit less of his usual dashing self, but no one else needed to know that. 'How was your trip? Successful?' he added as an afterthought to Ghalen.

riviarti chuckles again, but decides it's best to keep her mouth shut.

Headmaster Ryo |

The Headmaster laughs and shakes Kodjack's hand with his cybernetic one.
"Mr. Winterblow, I believe you misunderstand the term 'Headmaster' in regards to a school! In this case it means that I am the school's highest ranked faculty member, sort of like the chieftain of a tribe. This is a place of learning, not beheading, despite what some of the students taking Advanced Physical Education would believe."
"Please, take a seat and tell me more about yourself so we can determine what classes you'd like to take here at Avalon Academy."
