I find this amusing given the recent conversations.
For the following reasons:
1) He's probably not specialized in Perform (like, not a Bard, per say)
2) That roll if he maintained it, would get him 3d6 gp/day. In time, he'd draw attention from distant patrons, or even from extraplanar beings.
That's just rolling a 30, btw on 2) above.

Also, I think I may swap out Drums for violin, and I'm pretty sure that I could just have Guitar and Bass and be able to play acoustic as well.

Can I just say, despite any other things that Iolth may have done, I love that he and Shoshin seem to be having fun in game. Haven't really followed along, but they seem to have a great back n forth going.

Edit: Countersong and Distraction rely on Perform. The rest seem to not. Slightly odd, but its whatever.

and considering current situations I don't foresee any rehearsal time nor time together (with one band member being murdered and all)

Although if I did win the lottery, going to Paris would be the first thing I'd do. I've always wanted to see Paris. That's item number 1 on my bucket list. :)

Don't swap out drums. Finding a drummer is really, really hard around here....there's Janie and.........yeah, that's about it. Well, Zren and Rikken kinda, but they are not what you'd call traditional drummers.... point is we have more bands than drummers so might want to keep that in mind.

don't see the need for skill focus perform honestly, it is a feat that does not really fit everything else about you.
but if you are to take it I do recommend not boosting a skill that is already in abundance here.

Does Tybs really read as being that clingy?
I'm really trying hard to not write it that way.
I write it one way and he seems totally distant and uninterested and then I write it another and he's clingy and annoying. I just can't get it right, and I'd rather have him clingy than like he totally doesn't care at all.
This is really hard for me to do right, as I simply haven't felt this way before. I'm basically working off of movies and books as to what this is supposed to be like, and those always end nominally well, so trying to do this realistically, I just don't really know what to do. :(Yes.
His posts read like someone who needs a ton of therapy before they will have anything to offer a partner.
Work on his self confidence, his self image, that doesn't revolve or depend on what other people think of him.
That's what a therapist would tell him.
I do have to agree with this. And have heard this kind of thing from a therapist before.
It doesn't exactly help that emotionally abusive relationships are often romanticized in fiction aimed at young adults. (Gives Twilight the stink-eye.) So there's this twisted idea of what romance actually is in our culture and it doesn't match up to a healthy relationship on any level.I think Tybs has been getting some good advice from both Keme and Mel who are pretty much telling him the same thing. Give Dave some space, believe in yourself, figure out who you want to be on your own first, don't force things, you have people here who care about you, etc. But, very realistically, Tybs isn't listening to a word of it. Not sure what's going to give him that lightbulb moment of 'the only person I can change is me' but that's what he needs to really move forward in a positive direction. Willing to have Mercy step in with a pep talk if that will help.
well Mel came up with a plan in gameplay to get Tybs to have an affect with helping someone. which is also to help serve mending any ill feelings between Tybs and Ace.
which I am unsure why Ace was zapped to the scene in the first place but he's there so best make him useful.
