Spell that duplicates Giant Form I or II.

Advice

I've been scouring spells and am looking for a spell that will duplicate the effects of Giant Form I or II. Both of those spells have a target of you and a range of personal. I want them cast on a non-spell caster.

Most other spells will allow elemental body, beast shape, plante shape, etc. Unfortunately none have giant form castable on another person.

Is my only alternative a wish spell?

My idea is to cast giant form on my fighter, then cast permanency to make it stick.

I'm trying to make him large, but get more of the large creature bonus. Since enlarge person is pretty poopy stat wise.

Making it permanent... well... that's going to be up to the GM I fear. There isn't a way (that I know of) to make it permanent by RAW. It might be far easier to just make Enlarge Person permanent and then work on getting your "large creature bonus" stats via some other method.

To cast Giant Form I on yourself, you'd need a scroll of it and a pretty high Use Magical Device Skill. With UMD, you could pull off casting it on yourself, but it'll take pretty high skill and/or luck.

UMD Boosting Options:

...Headband of Intellect +2 (w/ UMD skill) to get 1 rank per character level

...Circlet of Persuasion (+3 to CHA rolls)

...Ring of UMD +10 (since you are in the GM's realm with making the giant form spell permanent, then asking about custom items might be workable)

...spend a skill focus feat on UMD and 10 ranks of skill

...take a level in Sorcerer or Wizard, and then just worry about the caster level check to cast the spell from the scroll instead of UMD

If you are after just large size, and your GM will allow you to make Giant Form permanent, then going for a permanent Righteous Might (level 5 spell) would be easier. It's still in the realm of GM permission and not RAW, but it's an option that might intrigue.

There are a couple of options. You could take a rank in Use Magic Device, get a wand of giant form, and keep on trying until you roll a 20 (assuming a Cha of 8). It could take a few days, depending on how many times you roll a 1; but there's no risk of wasting charges, so you could theoretically bargain with someone to just use one charge from their wand. Of course, I'd personally charge you quite a lot for that one charge. ;)

However, I would recommend a ring of the trolls (or whatever) instead. That way, you could have your stat bonuses and regeneration (or whatever) when you need them, while still being able to follow your party into cramped dungeons... and then later, dance with grateful princesses.

Good advice, but I have a feeling I would crash and burn at UMD.
And yes, all this is assuming that the GM allows other spells to be permanent.

I found a neat work around here.

Alchemist with the infusion discovery.
Makes their extracts usable by others.
Giant Form I is a 6th level Alchemist spell.

Find an Alchemist with that discovery and access to 6th level extracts.
Invite him and a wizard for cocktails and permanency castings.

You could use a ring of spell storing or any spell storing item to avoid the UMD check.

Spoiler:
Giant-Hide Armor

Aura strong transmutation; CL 15th
Slot armor; Price 39,165 gp (ogre), 46,665 gp (hill giant), 59,165 gp (troll), 54,165 gp (stone, fire, or frost giant), 69,165 gp (cloud giant), 76,665 gp (storm giant); Weight 25 lbs.

DESCRIPTIONThis drooping, many-folded suit of +3 hide armor is made from the tanned skin of an actual giant. Once per day on command, the wearer can grow to match the size of the appropriate giant, as if using giant form I (ogre, troll, hill giant, stone giant, fire giant, or frost giant) or giant form II (cloud giant or storm giant). This transformation lasts up to 15 minutes, and ends when the wearer commands. Most good folk consider wearing the skins of intelligent creatures to be abhorrent. Giants gain a +2 morale bonus on attack and damage rolls against the wearer, or +4 if the wearer's armor is made from the same kind of giant as the attacker.

CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTSCraft Magic Arms and Armor, giant form I (ogre, troll, hill giant, stone giant, fire giant, or frost giant) or giant form II (cloud giant or storm giant); Cost 19,660 gp (ogre), 23,415 gp (hill giant), 29,665 gp (troll), 27,165 gp (stone, fire, or frost giant), 34,665 gp (cloud giant), 38,415 gp (storm giant)

Being 100% a giant all the time would cause more problems than solutions to anything. You will be excluded from anything inside, period.
