Day 2 .1Q
All the other contestants are sporting ghastly mutations, one of the younger ones had fuzed with a chair, another one uses chairs as toothpicks, it is only a matter of time before the forced isolation begins to sap at my own sanity, or I am found in my position in the rafters fortunatly I have armed myself with a curtian rod with a knife duck taped to the end and an aproximation of the great shield of Zuse, namely a small coffee table with a picture of Justin beiber taped to one side.

That...
Has to be one of the least helpful answers.
See, there is no actual "heavy" descriptor for weapons.
There's Light, One-Handed and Two-Handed.
Depending on the specific weapon in question, a one hander could be considered light or heavy at least has far as classes go.
Now, it would be easy to just say Light Blades is only light weapons, while Heavy is all others, but then what about those who have taken Weapon Finesse with something that isn't a "light" weapon? They wouldn't get as much benefit in Hvy Blds as they would in Light.
Hence my original question.
and my response is I don't know, only that bastard sword is concidered heavy because my student who is in that class uses them
However scimitars have been used in the light blades room now that I think about it
So the line exists somewhere between scimitar and a hand and a half sword (eg bastard sword)
That help any?

rule terms light blades are the finesse weapons or the weapons easily used in off-hand. There are weapons that are finesse or don't give a larger negative for using in off-hand that don't count as light however.
beyond that there's no much difference in game terms.

Per the weapons description and such:
Weapons are grouped into several interlocking sets of categories. These categories pertain to what training is needed to become proficient in a weapon's use (simple, martial, or exotic), the weapon's usefulness either in close combat (melee) or at a distance (ranged, which includes both thrown and projectile weapons), its relative encumbrance (light, one-handed, or two-handed), and its size (Small, Medium, or Large).
It's mostly a descriptor, and appears to be a means of categorizing based on encumbrance.
Scroll past the initial charts, just into the actual write up section is where this was found.
What Dom wrote has a ring of truth or logic as well. You can imagine light weapons as mostly piercing, or slashing off-handed things used by 'due lists' or precision fighters, versus Conanian brutes, or such.
So, yes, check the weight in charts, or find the weapon per its type. What's your goal, MG? Curious if a specific weapon is Light or not?
Never mind, you're asking about the Class in the school, not a category. Up to the teacher teaching, I'd argue.

The storm, the vine thing, not sure if Lewis' friend is a side or not, apparently a town dissapeared somewhere, now you want to know about our gardening friend.
I think that's most of it.
Just seems like a of a sudden you've started a lot of asides going. :)
the disappeared town (almost certainly) was the vine.

Ehos is probably among the most powerful characters if he takes his silence effect away. He deals 30d6 sonic damage every round in which he makes any noise... Before even doing anything.
For sheer power though? Fei is probably the most powerful student.
It's hard to say though, some people counter others. Tyrrin can beat any student that isn't immune to mind effecting, for example (assuming she goes first).

Q: who's the most powerful PC in the game, excluding teachers and Lynora's PC 's do you think, I'm talking raw power here, in a fight who's the daddy/mummy?
Lang has the potential to be extremely powerful but he has not mastered all of his abilities yet.
and Melody could be the absolutely least powerful in the school

Not sure where I rate but I don't really care ether. I doubt it's to high.

For sheer power in combat I'd have to pick Lysander out of all of mine. But then again he was meant to hunt down full grown dragons...
I'll have to agree with FCD about Ehos though.
yeah 30d6 no save per round without any action to activate....
{boom} winner!!!

Just conversation.
Like this, question of the day!
"If there was a zombie apocalypse (hate the phrase, but it's part of the question), you can be/take the abilities of any well known video game title character(would be in Super Smash Bros for that game) who would you be? And why?
Deadpool...
