The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

I usually look for what fits best in an idea. Scholar fit Gareth, Wilder fit Taron, Wizard fit Oneiro, etc.

Lyn and I both had the idea for a Paper Mage at the same time. Same idea, different in everything except how they cast.

I for one am waiting patiently for the game to resume.

I really am wondering what will become of Lang and his future at the school.

I think he'll be fine, but have some psych issues with lovey emotions for a while. :)

Oh, and if anyone wants a hint to my charceter idea,
It was inspired by Liza & Tate.

Psionic/Summoner twins?

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Psion / -
Wilder/ -
Mind-linked and sense-linked twins
They share a hp pool.

Other Special ablites are secret in my head.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Tomax and Xamot?

Shadow Lodge

Cool. Reminds me of a hive-mind idea that involved a group of four or five that I eventually got down to just one.

Have you considered keeping their power points seperate, but allowing them to manifest powers the other knows?

I find it funny that you always try to be original but most of your ideas are inspired by something.

No summons? Just psionic twins. That takes a lot out of being based off of Pokémon gym leaders.

Please no.....

I haven't looked at the clip. Tell me if I'm right.
Two creepy ghost twins. End of a hallway. "Come play with us...."
I'm right, aren't I?

Already there.

Their hp is pooled, not their power points.

I've already given this some thought, along with their real special ablites.

"Inspired by" doesn't mean that it's a direct ripoff of them.

Also, original in this setting.

Glad I'm not the only one thinking psionics twins should be able to share powers. Sweet! :)

Dang!

You're lack of cliché annoys me. :P

The show is akin to a rain wreck in that it's awful but you just can't look away

Also inspired by Edgar and Virginia.

Bonus points if you can recognize them without looking them up.

...

From a video game, sorry.

Not the couple of Edgar Allen Poe.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

I realize that your hella young Ice, but it still makes me a lil sad you don't know who Tomax and Xamot are.

I'm the youngest one here, though. :D

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Weren't they GI joe bad guys?

I don't either. *shrugs*

I'm 26 and I don't know who they are.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

I'm 19 and if they were the GI joe bad guys then I barely knew them
Otherwise, not a clue

That's four of us. Five if Foul is wrong.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Call it 4.3 if I'm right, given that I only know because my dad's into them

Found it.
Foul was right.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Buncha lousy louts.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

That makes me smile a bit
Though I will say I've never seen them in their comic or cartoon form just via proxy through my dad

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

They were in the 80s cartoon a lot, and they had one appearance(that I know of) in Renegade.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Yeah well not everyone was alive in the 80s and those that were might not remember much of it, and those who do remember the 80s may not have watched a specific tv show sufficiently to pick out two characters by name

At least I have an excuse: no one in Canada cares about the G.I. Joe stuff. :P

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

My younger brother was born in 90, he didn't watch enough of GI Joe when it was on, but I'm willing to bet he knows the Crimson Guard Commanders.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

*shrug* I chalk that down to your influence or simple random statistics combined with not being a Canadian :P

Could I ask every one
would you say Lord Foul II has a good grasp of the Pathfinder rules,
just in passing?

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

In my own presumably biased opinion, I would say yes with the cavat that it would be yes, for someone who has been playing pathfinder for less than a year, and d20 in general for only a few months longer than a year

Shadow Lodge

If I may, what brought on this question?

Still no Lynora, eh?

Here's trusting she's doing well but just busy as all get out to drop by.

Will check back some more tomorrow.

Cheers, enjoy the down time. :)

I do hope lyn is ok
And I wonder how many discussion posts she will find when she gets back

One more than if you hadn't asked....

[2]

I'd say that Foul knows the rules a bit too well.
He builds way powerful characters that dwarf those with less knowledge of the game or an aversion to powerful characters. :P
While that's fine because everyone is powerful here, it has been an issue in other games. (Most of which are no longer active)
I would also like to know why you ask. :)

And I also hope that Lyn is just a bit busy to stop by. But remember, any time she isn't here is time she uses to finish off her workload to get back to us sooner. :)

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

While I miss the game something firece and I hope Lyn is doin fine, I'm actually thankful for the pause, as tomorrow-Sun is New York Comic Con and I'm gonna be so busy with that, I won't be able to keep up with my online games much.

Nice to know this one will likely still be on hold through the weekend.

Quick question, is the Light Blades class basically for anything finesseable, while Heavy is everything else?

Male sorcerer 16 wilder (leader/telepath) 3 elocater 2, thrallherd 1, pyrokineticist 10.

Well a bastard sword is concidered "heavy"

Day 2:
Times are harder now. I no longer feel the need to pronounce Agartha correctly.
They've made several attempts on my life. I've survived only through the use of a chair leg to fend off the attacks.

Day 2...

My stomach is in a state of constant pain.... perhaps the child and its high chair was excessive

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

That...

Has to be one of the least helpful answers.

See, there is no actual "heavy" descriptor for weapons.

There's Light, One-Handed and Two-Handed.

Depending on the specific weapon in question, a one hander could be considered light or heavy at least has far as classes go.

Now, it would be easy to just say Light Blades is only light weapons, while Heavy is all others, but then what about those who have taken Weapon Finesse with something that isn't a "light" weapon? They wouldn't get as much benefit in Hvy Blds as they would in Light.

Hence my original question.
