well there are rules for magical prosthetics, you can refluff the warforged some
as for upgrades, and stuff outside of game mechanics, power supplies are always being replaced, repaired and upgraded
power supplies are one of the glass ceilings that people are constantly pushing against
outside of that, anything that moves will eventually wear out, and you also have to watch anything that absolutely must stay clean or is fragilea lot of RP could be done with maintenance
Interesting....
Any other cybernetics I could install?
Really depends on the goal/abilities you want and what system you're using to define them.

well you can always refluff your abilities as implants, possibly with limited charge,
you could replace one of your eyes with a cyborg one, reminiscent of mad eye or cyborg (depending on how you want it to go)
you could have an arm cannon perhaps using a re fluffed warlock to do so

Damiani wrote:Gotcha. I believe I understand, the term causality made me think of cause and effect, as in the original cause, per philosophy terms.
My only defense to teleporting and any violations which cause access to the past is, so? Without defining how the past exists, it's a moot point! That'd be key.
I'm not of the mind set that in /most/ game settings the past is a fixed line, of events or instances, going backwards which would affect the future, but that each instant of existence is a crossroad or branch into the infinite possibilities of existence.
Therefore, I don't believe that reality is this way either. Kinda too limited and rigid a system for reality in all it's wonderful chaos. Besides, how cool would it be if game designers/imaginative people actually defined reality better then scientists, without data to support it?
Tapping into great Truths with the imagination... Kinda neat, if true!
Right. That's why cause and effect get a bit blurry if you can send something back in time.
I do agree with your appraisal of the universe, and it is an actually scientific
theoryhypothesis: it's called the Many-worlds interpretation of quantum physics. It holds that /every/ possibility occurs, but in different universes (or branches/crossroads, in your language).Fun stuff!
That's something about science I love, and many other things, we as human beings do, the sheer intensity of what we /know/ as truth (or are accepting as), could in fact be nothing more than imagined fantasy. Heck, wars and other things are going on because of this intense belief system sometimes, and are the cause for much of our history as a species.
Heh.
Laws of Physics, good stuff- but, hey, at least Science does have solid observed data to support their Laws, right?

Looking for ideas.....
Science allows you, with sufficient tech, to do anything... So go nuts. There, just helped you make anything you want.
Seriously though, what's your goal with the cybernetics? A theme, story idea, what? That'd help me give a narrower suggestion pool. Your query is too open ended for me, at this point.
Combat?
Support?
Stealth?
Joke?
:)

That helps.
Constructing, what? Is this person more the end fabricator, or the original designer with the means to shape reality?
Just ignore the combat/support part for now, IMHO, and work out the concept further. Anyone can be good at combat, doesn't take too much effort, IMHO. Ditto support.
So, what's the story and for what setting (not assuming Avalon).
AFK for 30 or more.

Think laborer
The society he's from needed powerful laborers. To build superstructures... he is one of the laborers... modified by a man with a debatable degree in science...
