Yay...finally got internet to work again, and the site is back up (o_O)

Lyn - did one of your eaten posts involve Dara? I don't see any other posts after Fei's last one, and I'm contemplating going over to the fencing club room if I can make it happen before it's all over...

Whoops. Yes, that one got eaten three times before the site went down for over an hour. I forgot to reconstruct it again.

Stupid hungry hungry site.

Somehow, my post actually got up, as the site went down. Was quite happy about that, if also kinda confused, lol.

Oh my gosh! Lol! XD
He's got four. He's triple screwed. XD

They aren't individual creatures. Its like a mass of tiny tiny black bugs. They wouldn't eat each other. . . .

I've peered at the various pictures Melody has, and none of them are consistent in appearance other than being Anime.
Could you, Ed, when able, give me a written description? I work off of a few key points that I cannot recall at this time.
Cheers.
Picture 1 and 2 are basically the same just different poses. those are her. the rest are simply used for the clothing. like the date picture was for the outfit only.
but will work on a better description for you and put it in the profile

Hey, Lynora--
Can you further clarify a 'bit' on the exposure that Agartha (in public/general terms, not individual people) would have with regards to the following:
1) Tech level/awareness
2) Education level
3) Magical level/awareness
I'm just looking to find out what the NPCs are going to typically 'think' of when interacting with the odd student (who apparently completely dance up and down the three points up above I'm asking about).
In my mind, Agartha is an odd hybrid tech/magical place, with higher magic leanings and budding into science in /very/ rare locations, right?
Thanks.

Melody Waverider |

Thank you.
For me, the devil's in the details-- without those, I often am stumped or ripping my hair out looking for it, without wanting to generate it myself since it's not my PC to do that with.
Best.
got something to work with in the profile

I think it's suppose to be a typical DnD like world. With the exception that at Avalon Technology is highly advanced. It has not bled out to the rest of the world however.
I could be way off.

Monkeygod |

Tech, thanks to the Info tab:
When the settlers originally arrived in Agartha they brought all of their technology with them. While manufacturing was abandoned ages ago, some amounts of tech are still in service. The most common being skimmers (a type of hovercar) and some pieces of heavy farm equipment. Mechanics make a living scrounging parts from junkyards to keep these pieces running. A very few crafters and inventors continue to make technological advances, but most don’t make it out to the general populations. The level of technology at Avalon Academy is much greater than what is available in the rest of Agartha.

What's her hair color? That's really the one thing I wanted that your pictures didn't really share.
I /think/ it's blonde, due to your Avatar pic, but now it's changed, so I got confused.
:)
sorry -- hair color is brown.

Yep, that's about it. Higher tech is starting to trickle back into regular service as fast as Jiminy's factories can crank it out. For now just more of the tech they know, ie skimmers and hoverbikes. Also many communities have ordered shuttled to be used for evacuation in case of the worst as awareness of outside threats has spread. These are rare and few people know how to operate them. Datapads, common offworld and at Avalon, are unknown in most of the world along with most of the other inventions. Jiminy has plans, but he can only build stuff so fast.
It is a high magic and high psionics world with both of these being incredibly common. A lot of things don't really need tech solutions because there are already magical solutions in use. They have a magically powered train system for example. While there are parts of Agartha that resemble a typical D&D setting, there are also aspects that are more sci-fi (the hovercars are pretty much straight out of star wars) and some steampunk thrown in for good measure.

Perfect.
Thanks all (Monkeygod as well)-- I was getting confused by all the other PCs' descriptions of Kuros and the like, which threw me completely off, not to mention all the (which I'm a player doing it too) extra planetary jumpers with 'space ships' and the like. ;)
Cheers.

cool, I had it down as a kind of 1800s steam punk place, with newer tech coming in here and there, no local net, tv etc.
news papers yes, with basic transportation

Yeah, that is a pretty good idea of what the local tech level is.

A piece of the ceiling chipped off and knocked a bug off course which redirect the flow of dust in the room that got in his eyes. ^_^
Or he tripped on a bug.
