The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

I can confirm that DB3 and I do indeed have the telepathy... and I have little bit with Ace and Dalesman too. Fun!

Metaconcert anyone?

Shadow Lodge

Woohoo, I call metamind!

Where are we going ... and what is with this handbasket?!

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

I don't know if letting the Malkavian into the metaconcert is a good idea...

Yay...finally got internet to work again, and the site is back up (o_O)

Lyn - did one of your eaten posts involve Dara? I don't see any other posts after Fei's last one, and I'm contemplating going over to the fencing club room if I can make it happen before it's all over...

Whoops. Yes, that one got eaten three times before the site went down for over an hour. I forgot to reconstruct it again.

Somehow, my post actually got up, as the site went down. Was quite happy about that, if also kinda confused, lol.

Naw that's much better this way he can get them to eat each other

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

They aren't individual creatures. Its like a mass of tiny tiny black bugs. They wouldn't eat each other. . . .

Are they? Ah I didn't know that

I've peered at the various pictures Melody has, and none of them are consistent in appearance other than being Anime.

Could you, Ed, when able, give me a written description? I work off of a few key points that I cannot recall at this time.

Cheers.

Picture 1 and 2 are basically the same just different poses. those are her. the rest are simply used for the clothing. like the date picture was for the outfit only.

but will work on a better description for you and put it in the profile

Thank you.

For me, the devil's in the details-- without those, I often am stumped or ripping my hair out looking for it, without wanting to generate it myself since it's not my PC to do that with.

Best.

Hey, Lynora--

Can you further clarify a 'bit' on the exposure that Agartha (in public/general terms, not individual people) would have with regards to the following:

1) Tech level/awareness
2) Education level
3) Magical level/awareness

I'm just looking to find out what the NPCs are going to typically 'think' of when interacting with the odd student (who apparently completely dance up and down the three points up above I'm asking about).

In my mind, Agartha is an odd hybrid tech/magical place, with higher magic leanings and budding into science in /very/ rare locations, right?

Thanks.

I think it's suppose to be a typical DnD like world. With the exception that at Avalon Technology is highly advanced. It has not bled out to the rest of the world however.

I could be way off.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Tech, thanks to the Info tab:

When the settlers originally arrived in Agartha they brought all of their technology with them. While manufacturing was abandoned ages ago, some amounts of tech are still in service. The most common being skimmers (a type of hovercar) and some pieces of heavy farm equipment. Mechanics make a living scrounging parts from junkyards to keep these pieces running. A very few crafters and inventors continue to make technological advances, but most don’t make it out to the general populations. The level of technology at Avalon Academy is much greater than what is available in the rest of Agartha.

Guess I'll be blunt here--

What's her hair color? That's really the one thing I wanted that your pictures didn't really share.

I /think/ it's blonde, due to your Avatar pic, but now it's changed, so I got confused.

Yep, that's about it. Higher tech is starting to trickle back into regular service as fast as Jiminy's factories can crank it out. For now just more of the tech they know, ie skimmers and hoverbikes. Also many communities have ordered shuttled to be used for evacuation in case of the worst as awareness of outside threats has spread. These are rare and few people know how to operate them. Datapads, common offworld and at Avalon, are unknown in most of the world along with most of the other inventions. Jiminy has plans, but he can only build stuff so fast.

It is a high magic and high psionics world with both of these being incredibly common. A lot of things don't really need tech solutions because there are already magical solutions in use. They have a magically powered train system for example. While there are parts of Agartha that resemble a typical D&D setting, there are also aspects that are more sci-fi (the hovercars are pretty much straight out of star wars) and some steampunk thrown in for good measure.

Are Adon and Dave there? I'm waiting for combat (cinematic please?) And who is fighting me?

Perfect.

Thanks all (Monkeygod as well)-- I was getting confused by all the other PCs' descriptions of Kuros and the like, which threw me completely off, not to mention all the (which I'm a player doing it too) extra planetary jumpers with 'space ships' and the like. ;)

Cheers.

cool, I had it down as a kind of 1800s steam punk place, with newer tech coming in here and there, no local net, tv etc.

news papers yes, with basic transportation

I'm not the best at cenematic. Stats govern my mind.

Yeah, that is a pretty good idea of what the local tech level is.

male human gestalt fighter 15/duelist 9, rouge 5, monk 1

Not forcing it. It might just involve Long wait times between my posts.

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

If I may humbly ask that you spoiler the combat posts...

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

I'd really like to duel Adon some time, could be interesting.

Lyn,

I have a bunch of questions for several different PCs, including a potential teacher idea.

Would you rather I sent one massive PM or break em up?

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

One massive PM is better.

male human gestalt fighter 15/duelist 9, rouge 5, monk 1

Renkai, i can do a drawn out cinema version, if you are willing to tolerate drawn out posting times.

Pre made excuse: Adon is caught off guard by Renkai's deceptive stance and Renkai takes full advantage of the fact, knocking back against the sword and his unseen second attack smacks onto Adon's ribs

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

No, he just got ubsurdly unlucky. I rolled. A freaking. Two. The post should reflect that sheer bad luck screwed him over.

Except only a natural twenty could prevent the second hit.

A piece of the ceiling chipped off and knocked a bug off course which redirect the flow of dust in the room that got in his eyes. ^_^
