My mom was in the hospital alst year for blood clots. Almost every question I had was replied with the medical equivalent of "Meh".
When one of the nurses described what happens when a clot gets to the lung without any kind of bed side manner, I asked the doctor to replace her, and put her somewhere that empathy for a patient wasn't an issue.
He did, and apologized. Some people's kids.
I'm fortunate to say that my mom has only had a few 'personality conflicts' with the staff at the hospital (mostly the nameless PAs that you only see once or twice). She's been able to ask for the nurses that she knows to be assigned to her, and that's making the difference in her being able to rest and start getting herself in gear to get out and go home. Fingers crossed, that may be tomorrow or Saturday... (^-^)

Thats great news dalesmen, my mom had to deal with cancer and the recovery took months. Its best just to do what you can and keep an eye on her. As long as their is progress and regular check ups its good. ;)

The Champions storyline and the Hunter storyline are starting to intersect more and more and before I started making more characters I wanted to make sure to give you guys a chance. :)
The currently unclaimed concepts include Love, Dreams, Fear, and Hope. I have some ideas for Hope but am more than glad to set that aside if someone else wants that one. Basically even if you don't want to introduce a character right now if you want to play the Champion of one of those concepts I'd really appreciate you speaking up now so I don't end ujp stepping on your toes accidentally. These can be allies of the PCs or allies of Madness, your choice.
Also, the next big thing is going to be that concert. Naturally there will be complications. :)

As per previous discussion, yes, yes, he most certainly does fall under madness. :)
I'd suggest for this making a new character if you like. It's allowed to have more than one in active play at a time. It's also fine if you're not interested in playing any of those. I just wanted to give folks the opportunity before I ended up making more NPCs. :)
Creation is a good concept to have a Champion for though. So you could do that if you wanted. And if someone has an idea for a concept that hasn't been mentioned feel free to suggest it. Currently we have Time, Death, and Madness accounted for, plus the four listed that haven't been taken yet, and now Creation also accounted for.
How about the concept of Song/Sound. No I do not mean a musical, I had a epic bard from 3.5e that traveled the planes playing for every creature from demon lords to planar kings. He had a number of powers granted to him as boons from those that liked his music, as well as an artifact instrument.
Music/Song/Sound is kind of a difficult one...I was waffling at first, but considering how I've played with that kind of concept in the past I think I have to allow it. My alter-ego LJ would be pretty mad at me if I didn't. ;)
I will see if I can convert him and you can check it out. Need to dig him up first.

Well, let me know if you want another Champion. Aside from that, there's tons of possibilities too. I think the hardest part is narrowing it down. Unless you're me and just play all of them....that might not be the best option for everyone though. :)

Dude I wrote a short story about darkness and light as opposing forces but netheir good or evil. Granted I may have favored darkness as the source of all and the original stable state of existance (or nonexistance depending on your point of view). Light was a mutation and its very nature caused darkness pain and suffering but after countless unseccessful attempts in the form of devouring all existance only to have light return in the form of the big bang did darkness consider coexistance and is currently on a quest to find a way for the light to remain without causing it pain. I paint darkness as the greater power that just cant get rid of the light so rather then repeat the process tries to find a compromise.
But thats just my take on it.

Yes, I like this. I think both light and dark could definitely be used in this way. And it would really fit with his recent experiences in the plane of shadow.
Normally champions are only chosen from longer lived races with dragons being the most popular choice. Since dhampirs age at a rate similar to elves Asch fits that profile perfectly. :)

Yeah, I don't see any reason why that wouldn't work. The only catch is she has to be mortal. She can age slowly, but she would have to gain the ability to age which isn't exactly standard for a succubus. Doesn't mean her appearance has to change as she gets older just that she gains a limit to her lifespan. But I could totally see her giving up immortality in order to be with Asch.

I prefer to think that I will die knowing there is a chance I am not going to be turned into a construct.
I think for the sake of time and my sanity I will not bother with the PreC's or epic and just make him a bard 20 with the class abilities added on as his powers.

You know someone should have told Solivala that should he be aware of any students fighting he should stop it. His clocktower is up and running, so if Asch wants a copy of his greatest bites he can just ask. (^.^)

Yes, characters should be capped at about sixteenth level, gestalt is fine.
No, fear doesn't have to be evil automatically. And if you'd like to play the champion of fear that's cool. Lycanthrope could be interesting considering Jeran's story that hasn't yet fully come into play. :)
I have never used gestalt, so I dont really know how it works. If I clip him at 16 it wont change much as he is support, thats why he is a beast. He has stuff that can buff the party silly, his offense and to a lesser degree his defense are a little lower then most people's.
In a fight I would say Solivala could waste him easy. As a good chunk of his abilities would not even effect him due to being a construct.
Edit-I guess that applies to Krays too sense he makes use of undead and they share similiar immunities.

I didn't know how far over to the other side Asch had gone, so whether or not he's susceptible to Kray's power over undead or not is up to you.
Hmmm I hadn't thought of that it's confusing…part of it is taint from his father and part of it is the over drawing of shadows while in the plane of shadows it's throwing everything off.
Part of it will be fixed when he takes his place as the champion of shadow and the other that's a secret.
Is Asch falling to the dark side, by that I mean darkness not evil. ;)
As for the point I failed to make utterly, Gaelvin is nothing without someone or something to buff up. The only thing he can do alone if he cant talk his way out is run and hide. He has a few offensive song abilities but they are wasted without others around.
