I want to start the battles this weekend. I'll talk with cp and see when we can start the challenges. I think he is away this evening so we should hear from him tomorrow. I also have to know if he is going to play or ref.

In the mean time I'm taking a last look at characters now and will post notes on any changes under your name in the list (i'll repost the list continuously as it is updated) CP is sending me some notes as well so once we both give you the okay your character is locked in and should not be changed. With what? That silly metal pipe you carry? You hardly possess the strength to lift it, much less swing it with any kind of force!

The cauldron is an attended object, meaning you need a successful sunder attempt to break it. It's a shame sunder is melee only.

Just out of curiosity where is that rule? Also, don't you have to wield or hold an item for it to be considered attended? Because if that is the case then you are neither wielding nor holding your cauldron, its holding you... :P

The rules don't say items need to be worn or held, specifically, merely attended. I've started a rules thread about it here if you'd like to discuss it further.

EDIT: Also piercing weapons like firearms won't cut it.

Except for special circumstances, such as the Archer fighter archetype, all combat maneuvers are melee-only by default.

The first sentence of Sunder makes it clear I think.

So I am basically done now. All my stats, attacks, equipment (except for 170gp I plan on squandering some how), familiar, ect are finished. I only have to decide what I am carrying and what my familiar is carrying and what extracts to prepare for the day of the battle. If anyone would carry to look over my character please inform me if I have done anything incorrectly.

Silver Crusade

These will be the most un arena like arenas you'll ever encounter. Trickster gods aren't known for setting up something as boring as a coliseum. wind, fog, smoke, non combatants multiple levels are just some of the possibilities.

Just a quick calc taking into account you and the 40lbs of gear for 40 speed it has to hold 7cu ft of water for 30 speed it can hold 15 cu ft of water. either way it would have to be a one person sized cauldron. Also what shape is it. wide like a bathtube tall like a wine flute, smooth or covered in wave patterns. last what does it rest on. flat bottom, feet?. just so everyone knows.

as for arena views that is what i am discussing with CP we may use some software we can all install or one of the gaming sites to be able to show maps and handle all the details of dice rolling etc. if we did it here I would have to add a map and it would turn into battle ship real quick. The item description dictates that the cauldron is big enough to hold two people simultaneously, not one. I imagine it being largely spherical, with a flat opening at the top, like a common fishbowl. When Meredith ducks down, her large jingasa acts as a makeshift lid to said opening. Due to the shape, when at rest on a solid surface, I imagine it tilts a bit. Please note that it can fly via command even when I am not in it, however, so it will rarely be at rest and will have zero chance of rolling away despite its rounded bottom.

Also, long ago in another thread, game designers ruled that such devices used up their rider's actions when ridden (so I would need to spend a move action to fly 40 feet in it). (Just in case you were wondering.) Though they didn't clarify, I assume it would be a move action to control it when not riding in it as well.

You mentioned ripples and designs. If you are permitting me control over its flavor, it would be transparent. It's supposed to be a flying fishbowl, not a cauldron, but I didn't want to change the description because you outlawed unique items.

I want it to have enough water that I can float in it (which doesn't take as much fluid as most people think) so that I can take advantage of my class abilities, but I'm not willing to sacrifice any speed for it. I can always generate more water if needed.

Where are these kits located? I've been doing this the slow way, picking my stuff piece by piece >_> I feel kinda silly for that now.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

If you're wondering about the numbers, Meredith weighs only 145 pounds, the lightest the random height/weight tables will allow for a female merfolk (suffering from emaciation due to her long time away from the sea).

That plus her gear puts her at ~190 pounds. That still leaves enough weight left over for nearly 300 pounds of water. What is it, approximately 4 pounds to a gallon? That means she can have 75 gallons without slowing down her flying fishbowl, enough to completely fill your household variety bath tub.

Darkwolf117 wrote:

Ah, okay. Don't have Ultimate Equipment, so I'm not terribly familiar with it, but I'm checking 'em now on pfsrd. I'll probably just stick with what I've got since I already grabbed most of the stuff I figure might be handy, but if something jumps out at me I may make some changes.

Thanks, though, this looks like it'll make equipping characters much easier in the future :P

then you'll have to add and remove water as you go. 7cu feet of water in a bowl big enough to hold two people ( about 3 feet across) is a little over two feet deep (with you standing/floating in it with your gear). which is why i said it would probably need to be narrower(using a barrier or something that doesn't add weight)) so the water would be higher or you fly slower and have it at 4 feet. with your wand you can easily add water when you need then tilt it and drain excess when you want to get moving.

I have no problem with customization that doesn't change the basic stats so patterns on the outside or if it has feet or not does not change it's flying weight limit and speed. since it is metal i wouldn't see it being see through.

Just trying to get an idea of how close to 500lbs it is. Water is heavy.

They are in Ultimate Equipment. There's one for each class and then some. If you want one, just say so and I will post the stats/description for you.

Water weighs 8.34 pounds per gallon. There are 7.48 gallons in a cubic foot. That's 62.3832 lbs per sq ft of fresh water.

Sea water is heavier, but also easier to float in. A gallon of sea water has between 1/4 and 1/2 cup of salt in it.

I'm not going to go into what it takes to float, because while I have a very good idea of what I can float in if I'm prone, standing, or sitting, I'm not a Merfolk and more importantly, I'm not the Dm. It's a cool concept and I don't want you to think I'm posting this to shut you down.

How is your initiative so high? I'm coming up with +9, +11 with a trait.

You're crossblooded, but I only see the arcane bloodline listed. Mirror Image is a 2nd-level spell, not 1st. Unless your mystery bloodline allows for it, you can't cast entangle at all (a druid/ranger spell).

Also, you basically stole my concept of destroying everyone with high DC compulsions and then took it to a whole new extreme. We even share half the spells on your spell list! Our ability scored are EXTREMELY close as well. I take it you thought going up against a bunch of "warriors" with this kind of build would be a cake walk?

In all seriousness, did you just use my character as a base and start from there?

Man, letting everyone see everyone else's stats was a mistake. Skill? Whatever. You may win simply because you were the last to join.

EDIT: Ah, the other bloodline is Fey. That makes sense, conceptually. I hope your extreme focus on compulsions and limited options gets you into trouble during the non-combat portions of this tournament.

Are you kidding me? Our Characters have nothing in common. We share 4 spells Magic Missile,Heroism,Enervation and Dispel Magic.

I didn´t even recognize that your Build is "focusing" on High Spell DC´s , you have Spell Focus thats it. And as for the stats :Seriously? They are both Sorcerers so what do you expect me to do with the stats? Should I invest in strenght?

I don´t know what this is about( although I suspect you have seen my Spell DC´s:)), but I don´t want to spoil the fun for anybody.

Say the word and I will roll up another Character.
