Will Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 fail, Kathal is dazed.

Flynn manages to damage a zombie while Kleck and Shadow both manage to bring one down.

The wolf attacks Payk once again.

Any joy at thinning the zombies numbers and stunning the wizard are lost as a ferocious bite from the wolf tears a hole in Payk's gut. The half elf falls immediately, writhing on the ground amid shallow breaths.

Payk is up, then Khron and the zombies.

With a growl, K'leck looks around for more zombies. Seeing none nearby he roars his triumph to the skies. In his muddled state, he doesn't realize the wolf off in the distance is an enemy and not just another of Flynn's animal friends. As his heart slows and the red clears from his vision, he feels a great tiredness overtake him and blinks a few times blearily, absently trying to wipe some of the gore off his clothes with little success. With a silly grin on his face, he starts wandering towards the rest of his party, his weaving path making him appear more drunk than all of his alcohol the previous night.

Moving and exiting rage.

Khrons first blow shatters the wolves already ridden bones. The glory is short lived as his second swing meets only thin air, sending the dwarf spinning wildly and eventually dumping him on his hindquarters.

The bones and pale skin of the wolf slowly dematerialize, returning to whatever forsaken plan they came from.

that will end this combat session. I will introduce our added players when I get a chance tonight. For now,
ALL PLAYERS SHOULD LEVEL UP TO LEVEL 2.
This includes vince varian and ursus.

The scene:

Glifdore hurries up, calling out for Kathal to be left alive. Varian, Vince and Ursus trail him, weapon at the ready, though no more combat is needed.

Payk is still unconscious, though Gotin and Ezra have picked him up and are bringing him to the temple nearby.

Kathal is unconscious, though still breathing.

Though most of the party combatants are unharmed, Kleck seems to have taken a hefty beating.

No initiative order now, just act as you would.

Varian:

AS you approach the fresh battle scene you know a wand that was seemingly flung from Kathal's grasp.

K'leck shambles over to the rest of the group, yawning widely. The crazed look has gone from his expression, but he's covered in a disturbing amount of zombie-gore. "Was good fight. Is time to drink to celebrate and then sleep, yes?"

He then seems to notice the unconscious wizard. "Ha! Run-away man come back for nap! Perhaps was helped by punchy fists of dwarf friend Khron, eh?" He pats the dwarf on the back, though it seems to lack some of its usual vigor. "I carry him back to tavern for drinks as people make talky time with him, yes?" He pulls out rope and makes to start tying the wizard up, pausing before he gets too far. "Perhaps magicky peoples look for stick of teleporting, so he can't disappear again first?"

Khron sighs as his shoulders droop. "'at could 'ave gone better."

Yorrick:

You find:
-A robe
-a dagger
-10 gold in a pouch
-a scroll
-a wizard's kit including a spell components pouch

I'll go over the next part quickly since it's mostly scripted.

Soon after Yorrick searches through Kathal stuff and shoves it in his pack, the town guard arrives with the mayor strutting behind them, far enough behind that the ring of guards could stop an attack before it because a threat. Two of the guards carry Kathal away to the cells, while the rest escort you to the town hall, a nondescript building with only the mayor's offers and an anti-chamber large enough to hold about twenty people. The guards watch you closely but Glifdore snarls to not try anything as he walks into the mayors office. The door is closed behind him, but you can soon hear his broken common piercing the doorway with insults and maneuvers. Glifdore walks out with a sack over his shoulder and the mayor appears behind him, signaling to the guards. They stand back, letting the party file out into the night.

Glifdore says not a word about the sack, though you can hear it jingling. Glifdore leads the crew back to the Morning Ale. He remains quiet until he reaches the bar. He slowly puts the sack down, pulls out a handful of coin and slams it on the bar... "That be fer drinks fer ever'on, a treat of the Merc Guild who this ver' night defeat the wizarrd Kathal!" The dwarf roars with laughter and cheers go up around the tavern. His order place, Glifdore troups into the private dining room, where an awake but seemingly dazed Payk and another... creature... are already drinking. Well, the ... creature is drinking, the half-elf ios trying to drink.

(1/3)

Yorrick:

This is the Priest, Tarquin.

The creature is a humanoid shape but shows deep red scales on the parts os his body not covered by a plain robe. A talisman of Erastil hangs clearly from his next, and though it could be a hunch, it's pretty apparent that a sword and shield are slung across his back and covered by the robe.. His admonishments to Payk to not drink as he needs to recover are in precise common with only a regional accent corrupting the words.

The dwarf somehow has a drink in the hand not holding the coin sack by the time he reaches the heard of the table. He quaffs most of the ale, slams the pitcher down and grins. "Noice werk men, now drink up and enjoy the spoils." He gestures to the sack "That ther be two hundred gold fer each of ya, and anot'er hundred or so fer the guild to invest. Tarken, dole it out would ya."

The humanoid starts count out coins into pouches and sliding them to each of the party. While he does so Payk finishes of the man's drink.

Everyone gains 200 gold. You may act as you wish, including turning in for the night or talking to Glifdore or convincing Yorrick to let you have the robe or scroll or identifying that wand that Varian found or any manner of action.

Hey! I'm alive! Mostly! I can't remember what kind of voice I was using, but since I guess this is my first real post it doesn't matter =P

Everything was tense for a while, our dwarven leader silent and what appeared to be surly. But that proved to be a false assessment, as proven by the raucous laughter that accompanied our privacy.

Glifdore wrote:

I know that I'm grinning like some village moron, but I don't even mind as I eagerly (totally not greedily. Just excited, that's all) accept my payment. I did it. Well, we did. But I was involved! Pretty much a badass.

Which is why it takes me so long to notice the lizard man thing who is currently giving me my money. So. That's unusual. But nobody else seems to be freaking out. And it's (he's?) giving me money, so I guess I can deal with it.

"Well, that was fun! Let's do it again sometime!" I laugh, drinking.

At the tavern, Khron sinks comfortably into one of the chairs, ordering a drink. He spends the rest of the night comfortably inebriated and chatting with the others, enjoying the spoils of a hard day's work.

K'leck heartily pats Fleck on the back, grinning. "Is much better now. Thank you friend for shiny magicks." He seems in good spirits on the walk back to the tavern. Almost as though he's completely oblivious to how close he came to possible death just now.

Once back at the tavern, he raises his mug happily in salute to their patron and great giver of tasty drinks. However, he chokes slightly when he sees the lizard creature. He frowns, glances a few times between his drink and the man/woman before him. He soon shrugs and downs the rest of his drink, a grin returning to his face. Must be knock on head. Or drink is actually better than it first appears. Should try more, just to be sure.

After several more drinks, a very happy-looking K'leck takes his money and turns in for the night.

Flynn joins the others at the tavern and pockets his gains. He grabs a mug and sits with the others.

While I am glad that this turned out well, I can't help but wonder what the wizard's motives were. Also, why was the mayor so happy, when he didn't want us involved in the first place?
