Spoiler:

Teleporting doesn't provoke OAs, but moving into I2 will do so as you will be walking past Thoran on foot first. Otherwise you can't see where you're teleporting too.

Ahem. Apologies Rad, but it seems like the kind of thing Caine would do. He takes 3 OAs, but makes his own attack with CA. 34hp damage to Caine, who is bloodied.
Completely ignoring his wounds, the Commander shows all the leadership qualities he was trained for, savagely hacking into CF2 and bloodying the shadar-kai while strengthening all his allies.
Your warlord is on 13hp and can't heal himself.

Caine should have 7 temp hp as a result of Righteous Smite, I think so that should mean he's only taken 27 damage well I hope so

Absolutely right Leo. I hadn't factored that in. He's still bloodied, but in much better shape.

Everyone - please note that with the exception of Caine, you have 14 temp hp. Caine has 7 temp hp (or rather, he doesn't).

Re-posting for ease of reference.

ADDITIONALLY - IMPORTANT: Since Thoran has made OAs against the party, I cannot imagine any reason for you not to know his whereabouts. It makes no sense to me that you would not be able to pinpoint his position extremely accurately, even if you can't see him. Attack him at will, but at the -5 penalty.

Not quite. Temp hp don't stack, unless specifically noted, and Caine's power doesn't help himself. So most of us have +7, and Caine had +7, and is now down 27.

EDIT: Changed my mind, screw it! I'm going for it.

ACK! - accidentally edited and ate my own post on Snaggletooth's actions. Recreation follows.

Snaggletooth's dagger clinks to the floor, failing to have an effect on Devlin. Holding his breath and praying to any gods who may be listening, the kobold eases through the mass of weaponry and sidles into the aura surrounding the dais. Despite taking grievous wounds, he immediately feels better as time seems to slow around him and he feels himself begin to heal.

Thoran OA on Snaggle (1d20 12=31, 1d10 5=12)
CF1 OA on Snaggle (1d20 12=21, 2d4 4=7)
CF2 OA on Snaggle (1d20 12=15, 2d4 4=12). Miss.
Devlin OA on Snaggle (1d20+10=20, 1d10+8=12)

31hp damage to Snaggletooth.

THE AURA: Entering the aura does two things. It restores hp and slows time for the healing to occur. Mechanically, it costs one movement point to enter the aura and 2 to leave it. While within the aura, any creature starting its turn there gains 8hp (stackable with other healing effects, but not rising higher than the creature's maximum hp) and is slowed. A slowed creature may move two squares only and may not shift unless a power specifically allows a shift of two or more. Teleporting creatures may teleport as usual.

Brujo - are you at I3?

Flame laps demonically at Devlin and the Chainfighter.

"And that," comments the warlord wryly to his allies, "is a semi-mythic kobold and a paranoid moonelf. We're all kind of old acquaintances. Nice to see you've none of you lost your touch."

Spoiler:
how heavy are those pillars again? If a buff little kobold like myself wanted to say move one out of position in an attempt to disrupt any said ritual that may or may not be in progress, would that be possible? A bull rush, maybe? I am just checking if it is feasible to do so and not giving you a glimpse into my next turn.

Male Kobold Rogue 6

"hey, guys?" Snaggletooth calls from behind his pillar. "Aura-thing slows you down but brings healing. Keep Bad guys away from it, I think."

Female Tiefling Wizard 6

Since there is no way anyone will convince her to stop in the only square available, or to double-move through everyone and eat all the OA's that would entail, Mirth will move as close to the top of the stairwell as she can, staff in hand, and wait for someone to GTFO so she can move in. <sigh>

Rev, I believe you mentioned that the room is dimly lit - does that give me the opportunity to hide via stealth, whilst I am still out of LoS of the baddies?

As a side note, am I the only one who is not seeing any avatars?

Snaggletooth - Gloomstrike is a once per round. You are not blind.

Thoran and his boys updating shortly.

Thoran reappears, shifts and smiles evilly at Brujo.

"Are you a worthy foe?"

The greatsword swings low, catching the swordmage unawares and hurling him to the floor and is followed by another ferocious attack. The shadar-kai stands poised, waiting for his allies to help finish off the moonelf.

Shadow Throw (Ref) Thoran v Brujo
On hit, target slides 2 squares and is knocked prone. Thoran can make a Stealth check to become invisible to the thrown target. (1d20 12=32, 1d6 5=8)
. Minor action. Crit. 11hp damage to Brujo, slides to him to I3.
Thoran v prone Brujo (1d20 14=26, 1d10 5=11). Standard action. 11hp damage to Brujo.

The CF1 spins his weapon and lashes down on the hapless swordmage, the spiked weapon digging deep into his flesh.
CF1 c Brujo (1d20 14=34, 2d4 4=6). Crit. 12hp damage to Brujo.. I believe that bloodies him. Which triggers a further attack from Thoran.

At the sight of Brujo's bloodied state, Thoran's smile grows wider as he strikes once again.

Finishing Move (Free, when an adjacent enemy becomes bloodied, recharge). Thoran targets the enemy that has just become bloodied; +12 vs Armor Class; 2d10+8 damage, ongoing 10 damage, and the target grants combat advantage (save ends both).
Finishing Move v Brujo (1d20 14=32, 2d10 8=28). Additional 28hp to Brujo. I make that Brujo on 0hp, taking 10 ongoing damage.

CF2's arms and feet move in a deadly dance as he swings at Leo, Caine and Fairwind in turn, shifting and darting over the ground to reach the relative security of the aura.

Dance of Death - encounter. Rechargeable. Shifts 6 squares and makes three attacks against different targets. On hit, does an additional 1d6 necrotic damage.
CF2 v Leo (1d20 12=32, 2d4 4=9). Ouch. Another crit. Leo takes 18hp damage. 12 normal, 6 necrotic.
CF2 v Caine (1d20 12=19, 2d4 4=8). Hit. 11hp damage to Caine. 8 normal, 3 necrotic. Caine is now on 9hp.
CF2 v Fairwind (1d20 12=13, 2d4 4=9, 1d6=3). Miss.

Devlin puts on his most winning smile. "Mouthy gal. You and me? Time to change side now moon-boy's down?" He accompanies the comment with a jovial stab in the ribs with his halberd.

Spoiler:
Wouldn't Brujo have at least one round of 7 temp hp? If thats the case wouldn't that also mean he isn't bloodied so wouldn't get that attack from Thoran? If Brujo was on 55hp originally then the 23 damage he just took puts him down to 32hp and not under the 29hp for being bloodied unless there's some other damage involved...

Ok on leo's turn as its looking like i'll be offline when it comes up he'll divine challenge Thoran and shift to K-3 and then use eyebite on Thoran:Roll 1d20+6+2(Cronin's bonus) and another +2 if Brujo is up (see spoiler about this): 11+8 for Total of 19 vs Thoran's Will or 21 if Brujo is up and does 1d6+4 psychic damage: 5+4 for 9pts of damage and Leo is invisible to Thoran until the start of Leo's next turn.

"Enough gaze upon Kelemvor's fury!" Leo glares his eyes gleaming silver for a moment as he closes in on the Shadar Kai leader.

At the monastery.

Spoiler:

Perigia's missile explodes in the creeper's face and the creature flinches back.

Panicking, dazed and desperate to escape, the Emissary tries to lunge around Allendi, but the Abbot is too quick for it. With two solid strokes of his staff, he bloodies the creature.

"Bit more like it." He grins companionably at Perigia. "I could get used to this."

Allendi (OA and attack on Emissary) (1d20 7=27, 1d6 4=8, 1d20 7=22, 1d6 4=7)

Spoiler:

Brujo had 62 at the start of this round, including 7 temp hp. He took 11 from the Shadow Throw. A further 11 from the standard attack and CF1 critted him for 12. 34hp total, which bloodied him. That brought Thoran's power into play since it applies to an adjacent bloodied enemy, not necessarily one that has been bloodied by him. Unfortunately, he did max damage with it for 28hp. 62hp exactly. I agree it's unfeasibly bad luck and I did count very carefully. If I'm wrong, then I'm entirely happy to correct the error.

F Half-elf Ranger 4 (multiclass - Rogue)

Minor to change shortsword. Move to K3. Sudden Strike - with normal longsword. 1d20+10 (inc Cronin) = 26 vs AC on Thoran. Damage = 7 + Quarry 5 = 12 damage to Thoran. Then as part of the power, shift to J4. Second attack from the power vs Thoran with magic (now) shortsword = 1d20+14 (inc Cronin and flanking) = 33 vs AC. :D Damage = 2d6+5 shortsword + 2d8 sneak attack = 21 damage to Thoran... so.... TOTAL DAMAGE TO THORAN = 33 HP and he is weakened to the end of my next turn. ;)

Fairwind just says quietly "Shut up." and moving like lightning, darts into the fray, slashing with steely precision at Thoran.

The next melee attack that misses, I will activate Unbalancing Parry as an immediate interrupt.

Fairwind's attack comes as a stunning and most unpleasant surprise to Thoran. Almost before her last blow lands, Leo slides into her vacant spot and plays the invisibility card straight back at the shadar-kai. His instinctive jab at the paladin misses.

Shift to I2. Healing Word on Brujo -- surge + 5. Cascade of Light on Thoran, drawing OA. Miss for half (=12hp radiant).

Cronin's words infuriate the shadar-kai and he lashes out as the dazzling invocation to Selune hits him. Weakened as he is by Fairwind's attack, he makes little impact. He glances down in astonishment at the wounds opening up along his torso.

Cronin's prayer has barely left his lips before the lithe and lethal figure of Mirth ranges alongside the shifter.

Male Kobold Rogue 6

ate my post. Errrr! gain 8 hp from aura, 40hp current total.

Rev
point of clarification- am I slowed until I LEAVE the aura or am I slowed for every turn I start in the aura? This is important. If I am slowed until I leave the aura, I have to waste my move to get out, but then I can use my shifty minor power to get closer to the action. Combined with deft strike, I can get to Thoran for a Sneak Attack. But if I am slowed for the entire turn, then I can't get close enough and have to use my hand crossbow. Not as cool as a SA, but hey, whatever works. Depending on how you rule, I will choose one of the following turns:

Slowed until leave aura-

Spoiler:
(believe or not, I actually critted this roll. I got all excited and threw in a HOOTY HOO! for good measure. First crit for Snaggletooth) move-N7. minor-shift to M6. standard- deft strike on Thoran (move L5, K4, d20+13, nat 20, 1d4+4+2d8+3, 4+4+8+3 or 19hp damage)

Slowed for the turn-

Spoiler:
I'm keeping the crit, regardless. but then it is a crossbow deft strike on Thoran from L5 or M6, depending on how deft strike is affected by being slowed. 1d6+3 or 9hp damage.

choose the one based on your ruling. I am cool either way.

Second wind for +14hp. With Cronin's Healing word I'm at 33hp.

"You should have let me fight to begin with. It'd be bad for me if you died..." Brujo vanishes immediatly reappearing by one of the pillars. As he lays near the pillar blue flames begin to consume him.

Fey Step to K7

Aura clarification: Creatures entering the aura are slowed and can move 2 squares. Creatures starting their turns in the aura are slowed and regain 8hp. Any square containing a section of aura counts as aura for the purposes of both healing and slowing EXCEPT for F7, F13, G6, G14 at one end and N7, N13, M6 and M14. Those squares would not have any aura in them at all if I was a more accurate mapper!

Snaggletooth revives with the arcane power of the magic circle and steps out again, firing a crossbow bolt at Thoran. There is a highly satisfying "clunck" as the bolt goes into the shadar kai's shoulder.

Snaggletooth - I used your second option.

Beset on all sides, Thoran smiles, his eyes lighting up at the prospect of proving his worth, once and for all.

Brujo teleports into the reviving aura and starts to glow a familiar, dangerous blue.
Brujo - you are still taking 10 ongoing damage at start of each turn and granting CA. Save ends both, but please make sure your hp total is up to date. This could get complex.

Mirth steps brazenly out of the stairwell, eyes fixed on Thoran as she summons the flames that are her infernal birthright. "A pretty one thou art," she murmurs to him, leaning close enough to feel his breath before coyly spinning back. Around him, her flames flicker higher, sulfurous and hungry.

Move: Shift I3
Standard: Fire Shroud (Close Burst 3, so no OA's) vs Fort: Thoran=20, CF1=10, Devlin=22, CF2=28 (Amended Thoran and CF2 to account for Bloodhunt's +1). 11 Fire damage and 5 Ongoing Fire (save ends).
Action Point: Shift back to J2

Thoran flicks his head round just too late to stave off Mirth's attack which also engulfs CF2 and Devlin. Fire blazes around the trio and Devlin rocks back on his heels, howling with laughter.

"Horny gal - you're good. Question is - are you good enough? Things might get a little serious from here on in. Just a friendly warning."

Even from the depth of the flames enveloping him, Thoran smiles with genuine appreciation of her tactics. "These are good foes. You did not lie, mercenary."

Thoran spins on Fairwind and swipes at her, missing completely.
"You use dishonourable tactics female."

Unbalancing Parry comes into play here. He was already next to you, so I don't know where you wanted him slid to. In any case, his next move it to teleport out of there.

He vanishes from sight, reappearing next to Brujo. "You are a worthy enemy. I will grant you an honourable dispatch." Flame continues to lick around him and mingles with the blue fire building around the swordmage.

"Mirth any chance you can ray of frost the loudmouth or scorch those two sheltering in that circle?" Leo asks.

"Reckon you missed the class about forgiving your enemies in priest school."

Devlin nudges Fairwind's prone body with his foot. "She'll be on her feet in no time."

F Half-elf Ranger 4 (multiclass - Rogue)

"*ack* Yeah... all the better to smash your face, you bastard..." Fairwind mutters as she winces in pain.

M Goliath Cleric 14 / Storm Speaker / Druid

Cronin mutters a brief imprecation on Devlin as he squeezes past the warlord to G5, drawing an OA. He utters a word none can hear but Thoran, then another, kinder word for Caine.

Command v Thoran will (1d20+7=18) Probably a miss. On a hit, Thoran is dazed and slid to K5. For, Caine, surge + Healing Word (1d6+4=9)

As Cronin eases past him, Devlin jabs backwards hard with the butt of his halberd.

"I know you're there shifter. All the old gang."
OA on Cronin (1d20 10=25, 1d10 8=17). 15hp damage to Cronin.

Cronin's words revive Caine and cause Thoran's eyes to widen as some power beyond his control pulls him ruthlessly out of the healing aura.

Caine grins and hums as he matches himself against the shadar kai, recognising and appreciating professionalism when he sees it. With a nod of his head, he brings Snaggletooth into a flanking position with Leo and brings his sword down hard. The insubstantial shadar kai takes little damage, but his position is not good, as Thoran fully realises.

Wolf Pack tactics, setting up Snaggle to flank with Leo. (1d20 10=29, 1d10 4=9). Hits. 4hp only due to Thoran being insubstantial.

MAP

Snaggletooth is up - +2 to defenses
Brujo - +2 to defenses, prone
Mirth - +2 to defenses
Thoran - taking 5 ongoing fire (save ends). Insubstantial to end next turn, dazed to end Cronin's next turn.
Chainfighter 1
Chainfighter 2 - slowed, taking 5 ongoing fire damage (save ends)
Devlin
Fairwind - +2 to defenses, prone. Failed one death save.
Leo - +2 to defenses
Cronin - +2 to defenses
Caine - 42hp, one surge left.

Fairwind ain't on the map, guv.

That would be because Leo is standing on top of her. Protectively.

I hope, for your sake, that Leo is wearing clean skivvies.

Male Kobold Rogue 6

Snaggletooth growls at Thoran. "You disappear, you turn see-through, well, pale, spooky, ghost-man, I am Snaggletooth the Liberator, and I not afraid of you! I have blood of dragons in my veins, what kind do you have? I cut you and see!"

let's go with riposte strike w/CA and magic dagger (d20+13 vs AC, 21, if hit, 1d4+4+2d8+3=2+4+13+3=25 or 12hp damage since he is insubstantial) and set up for the interrupt if he attacks.

Rev

Spoiler:
I have not been paying attention. If 21 is not enough to hit Thoran's AC, then Snaggle will use his encounter nasty backswing. (d20+13, 29, 1d4+4+2d8+6=4+4+10+6=24 or 12hp since he is insubst. and no setup) You can post the following: Snaggletooth strikes at Thoran and misses! Anger and embarassment mix in the look on his face. "I look stupid in front of big, bad guys. I redeem myself." He thinks to himself. Then he reverses the blade in his hand and comes back and strikes Thoran in the gut. Only his magical protection saves Thoran from a grevious wound.

Brujo, please confirm if you were bloodied or not at the end of your turn. If you were, then you can take advantage of Leo's 7hp.

Nope, 33hp puts me 5 above my bloodied value :(

Brujo stands, his body in pain and flames consuming his flesh.

Move to stand, and since I'm slowed that's about all I can do. But I'm now at 41hp!
