Brujo |

Brujo moves closer to the battle, and in a flash Leo and kobold have changed positions.
"Now for you" Brujo turns his gaze to the nearest halfling and unleashes a bolt from his hand.
Move to j13. Dimensional warp on Snaggletooth and Leo. Lightning lure 1d20+6=21 vs. fortitude; Damage 1d6+6=12, move w2 to j12.

Rev DM |

The rat-man emerges from the shadows and tries to sink his teeth into Fairwind's sword arm. Her armour protects her and he urges the wolves onwards with a further wave of his sword.
Perigia's magic blasts into the hide of a wolf, while Brujo's trademark lightning pulls a hapless animal towards him, snapping and snarling in protest, injured by the blade as much as the lightning. His deft work in shifting Snaggletooth out of immediate danger is greeted with a grateful wave by the kobold.
Kalmo has moved to D5
Thought a new map would be helpful as some of you have moved a fair bit.
Leo is up
Then the wolves get a chance to fight back.

Leo the half elven Paladin |

Leo uses his divine challenge on Wolf#5 and then employs his Holy Strike upon it rolling a 19+9 for 28 to hit and does 10pts of radiant damage upon it
"Kelemvor guide my aim!" Leo calls forth as a glimmering of silver light passes from him and into the wolf before him even as his sword cuts through it the shimering light passes back through the sword almost as fast as it appeared.
"Thanks Brujo, Caine," Leo nods to both.

Rev DM |

Divine energy infuses Leo's blow and he lands a nasty hit on Wolf 5.
Wolf 1 chomps down hard on Fairwind.
Attack on Fairwind (1d20+7=22, 1d6+2=7) 7 damage to Fairwind.
Wolf 2 goes for Brujo's throat, and while it misses anything vital, inflicts a grazing wound on the swordmage.
Attack on Brujo (1d20 7=24, 1d6 2=4). 4hp damage to Brujo.
Wolves 3, 4 and 5 all miss their targets, despite wolf 4 backtracking to attack Cronin. Poor beasties. Too hungry to aim properly.
Cronin is up
Caine

Cronin |

Not sure how I got way over there, but I guess that's what I get for not checking the map before my turn!
Cronin agilely slips from between the wolves and aims a focused beam of moonlight at the "rat-halfling" that attacked Fairwind, striking home and lighting him as a target for his comrade.
Shift to E7, Lance of Faith (vs Ref) on Kal, Lance on Kal (1d20 6=21, 1d8 6=14) , Fairwind gets +2 to next attack against Kal.

Commander Caine |

Where you not there? It's just as likely to be my fault as yours. If so, apologies. It didn't seem unlikely as a position when I was updating it earlier.
The ratman shrieks as Cronin's power blasts into him.
Caine is up
I assume you're allowing me to change my use of the wolf-tactics considering that Snaggletooth was able to move away from danger.
Caine haphazardly slashes an attack against the nearest enemy.
Rolled a total of 10!

Rev DM |

I assume you're allowing me to change my use of the wolf-tactics considering that Snaggletooth was able to move away from danger.Caine haphazardly slashes an attack against the nearest enemy.
Rolled a total of 10!
Of course. As a general rule, if a pre-posted action makes no sense by the time the turn comes up, feel free to change it. Applies to all.

Rev DM |

Geleri Fairwind |

attack ratty (1d20+9=11) Hit and Run - move to I6
Fairwind slices at the halfling, more as a diversionary tactic, and spins away in a flurry of cape.

Brujo |

Booming blade on w2 1d20+8=16; Damage 1d8+5=12 cold damage. If the target is adjacent to you at the start of its turn and moves away, it takes 1d6+3 thunder damage

Rev DM |

Wolf 2 suffers Brujo's sonic attack with an anguished howl, while wolf 3 is utterly bewildered by Perigia's blast of cold that almost roots it to the spot.
Fairwind, please can you check your move. I am very likely being dense, but unless you are running, I can see no way for you to get to I6.
Note to all, the rocks count as difficult terrain. I'm not going to retcon - it's my fault for not pointing it out, but please be aware for future moves. Pink stone is not difficult terrain.
Kalmo Darano's jaws open wide again and he launches himself recklessly at Cronin. Kalmo moves to D6. This time he is more successful and his teeth lock painfully over the shifter's arm.
Bite attack on Cronin. On hit also delivers 2 ongoing damage and target contracts filth fever: (1d20 8=27, 1d4 2=5). 5hp damage to Cronin, 2 ongoing damage (save ends) and you have contracted filth fever, you lucky thing. I'll check how that works and post the details later.
Leo is up

Leo the half elven Paladin |

Leo shifts to H-10 and then cuts loose on Wolf#5 again employing Holy Strike again.
Rolled a 17+9 for 26 to hit doing 1d8+6 damage or 11pts of radiant damage on Wolf#5 if it hits
Fairwind's hit and run allows that first square of movement to act as a shift going diagonally a couple of squares to F-2 and then heading diagonally toward I-6 looks viable, if that helps

Rev DM |

Fairwind's hit and run allows that first square of movement to act as a shift going diagonally a couple of squares to F-2 and then heading diagonally toward I-6 looks viable, if that helps
Leo - it does. Thanks. Fairwind - apologies for questioning the move.
Leo attacks the adjacent wolf with surgical precision.
Wolf 1 shifts to Cronin, tries to rip his throat out and misses.
Wolf 2 lunges at Brujo and manages to graze him again.
(Wolf 2 v Brujo (1d20 7=23, 1d6 2=3). 3 damage to Brujo.)
Wolf 3 manages to take a bite out of Caine's leg.
(Wolf 3 v Caine (1d20 7=26, 1d6 2=3). 3 damage to Caine.)
Wolf 4 converges on Cronin and like his packmate, fails to make any impact on the shifty shifter.
Wolf 5 takes a snap at Leo and just misses.
MAP- midterm update after wolf moves.
Wolves 2 and 5 are bloodied. Wolf 3 is slowed until the end of Pergia's next turn.
Cronin is up
Caine

Cronin |

Umm, Fairwind?
Cronin backs toward the tunnel entrance and prepares his mightiest invocation of Selune's majesty. Silver lights dance across the halfling, then fade, leaving him wounded. Cronin, still bleeding from the wound, touches his holy symbol. The wound closes, and a shimmering field surrounds the shifter.
Ok, to explain all that. First, he takes the ongoing damage. Then he shifts to D8. Then he misses with Cascade of Light, doing half damage (7 radiant, pathetic). Then he uses an action point to cast Sanctuary (+5 to all defenses through his next turn or an attack). Then he fails his save, then invokes Channel Divinity to reroll the save, which succeeds. Whew!

Rev DM |

Cronin and the ratman snarl at each other in unison across the rocky ground. Perigia's light contrasts with the arcane glow of Spellgard Tower casting eerie shadows. Snaggletooth crouches low and prepares to run towards the hole.
"Get down the hole!" he chitters. "Many more Daranos will come."
Caine is up

Commander Caine |

Caine attacks W3
Attack and Damage (1d20+9=26, 1d10+5=6, 1d20+9=26, 1d10+5=14)
Using the action point.
"Take that! And that! And that!"

Rev DM |

Geleri Fairwind |

Move to H9. Now flanking with Caine, granting me CA.
longsword; shortsword (1d20+9=20, 1d20+9=23)
longsword; shortsword; once per encounter sneak attack! (1d8=3, 1d6=1, 2d8=10)
Seeing her chance, Fairwind races to aid Caine, moving like the zephyr of her name, and unleashes a flurry of flashing blades!
That was against the wolf between Caine and me.

Rev DM |

As the first wolf falls, Kalmo screams in outrage. "You're killing my wolves. Brothers! Help!"
As he speaks he advances on Cronin once more and sinks vicious teeth into the shifter's arm again. Wolves 1 and 4 snarl menacingly at the cleric, hoping to surround him and bring him down.
Kalmo v Cronin (bite attack, 2 ongoing and filth fever on hit) (1d20 8=28, 1d4 2=5). 5hp damage, 2 ongoing and reinfected with filth fever. Kalmo moves to D7.
Leo is up
Wolves

Rev DM |

Leo hasn't surfaced since Tuesday - hope you're OK.
Inwardly sighing a little at this foolish slaughter, Leo turns his attention to Wolf 4. With effortless grace his longsword plunges home, bloodying the beast horribly. At the same time, he issues a Divine Challenge to Kalmo Darano.
"Turn," he calls. "Turn and face Kelemvor's ire."
Leo attack on Wolf 4: (1d20 9=20, 1d8 5=13).
Wolf 4 is bloodied. Kalmo is divinely challenged. Leo moves to G8. Wolf moves and new map to follow shortly.

Rev DM |

Wolf 1 attacks Cronin again, sensing his master's presence.
Wolf 1 v Cronin (1d20 7=21, 1d6 2=3) 3hp damage Cronin.
With its dying breath, wolf 2 lashes out at Leo before succumbing to its numerous brutal wounds.
Wolf 2 v Brujo (1d20 7=21, 1d6 2=8). 8hp damage Brujo. Your ongoing finished off wolf 2.
Wolf 3 backs away from Caine and tries to attack Cronin as an easier target. It misses completely.
Wolf 4 turns on the paladin and gains small vengeance for the deaths of its packmates.
Wolf 4 v Leo (1d20 7=27, 1d6 2=3). 3hp damage Leo.
Cronin is up
Caine

Leo the half elven Paladin |

Sorry about that been unable to look in mostly work and unexpected visiting family kept me too busy

Rev DM |

You're going the wrong way. The hole in the ground is to the south of you. You are heading into the ramparts. Apologies for any confusion and places now duly noted on the map. Also duly noted that wolfie failed to hit Cronin.
MAP with locations marked on it.
Seeing Cronin in trouble, Snaggletooth runs towards the fray and picks up a handful of rocks, ready to hurl them at the nearest wolf.
"Stupid heroes! Need sneaky kobold help." he mutters.
Commander Caine is up

Rev DM |

Geleri Fairwind |

Move to I6, avoiding threat zone.
basic attack (1d20+9=26)
damage (1d8+3=6)
Fairwind comes to Leo's aid, deftly moving through the carnage.

Cronin |

You're going the wrong way. The hole in the ground is to the south of you. You are heading into the ramparts. Apologies for any confusion and places now duly noted on the map. Also duly noted that wolfie failed to hit Cronin.
Ah, so I'm retreating to where I'll be surrounded by Daranos. Aren't I the smart one?

Brujo |

Move to E8, as I do.
"Brujo can you use that swap trick of yours to swap me and Cronin at this point?" Leo asks.
"Sorry, I can only use that trick every so often", he responds as he rushes the halfling
[ooc]Booming blade 1d20+8=21[/url[; Damage [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1828511/ ]1d8+5=7 cold damage, if the target is adjacent to you at the start of its turn and moves away, it takes 8 thunder damage.

Perigia |

Move to E8, as I do.
I realized that I will catch Brujo and Cronin in my blast if I do what I wanted so instead Perigia will move to F11 and cast Ray of Frost at Kal. The attack roll stays the same but damage drops to 10 cold and target is slowed until my next turn.

Rev DM |

Outnumbered and outgunned, Kalmo tries to flee north through the doors, already bloodied by Brujo's attack, Perigia's ray catches him unawares and he transforms back into a halfling man, scrabbling at the door. As he does so, residual sonic power from Brujo's attack hits him. He seems hardly aware that he is offering Cronin a golden opportunity to finish him for good.
Kalmo is at C8 clearly on his last legs and Cronin gets an OA against him.
Leo is up
wolf 1
wolf 4
Cronin
Caine

Cronin |

OA on Kal from a non-melee character (1d20 3=22, 1d6=6)
Woo-hoo! Score one for the spiked gauntlet.

Leo the half elven Paladin |

Leo turns and challenges the nearest wolf before swinging his sword with another holy strike before calling upon his holy symbol to aid Cronin.
Divine challenge on Wolf#4 then using Holy Strike upon it before using his holy symbol's daily ability to grant an ally a +5 bonus on their saving throw namely Cronin.
Sorry just confirming thats a 19+9 for 28 to hit doing 1d8+6 pts of radiant damage which if it hits does a total of 12 damage to Wolf#4 and as long as Cronin is within 5 squares can grant him +5 to his saving throw
