Leo, from what I can see, Commander Caine was intending to attack D3 and if he did so, will have killed it. Hang on and I'll do the bat moves and you can decide then what you'd like to do with the benefit of an updated map.
Could you all be very specific about what you are attacking. Most of the time I agree it's obvious, but it helps me to update faster and lets other players know what is still available to slaughter. The skellies are minions. They only have 1hp and an AC18. If you roll higher than that, they're hit and they drop. The bats are just normal monsters, you do need to roll damage for them.

Commander Caine effortlessly shatters D3, while Brujo hauls Bat 1 forcibly towards him. The enraged creature lashes out at him with its string like tail, catching the swordmage across his face before struggling to take off again. Tail lash attack on Brujo (1d20 8=25, 1d6 4=8)
I'm ruling that Bat 1's move action is simply to try and take off. So it's now airborne again.
Bat 2 lashes out at Fairwind, but misses and flies to the far end of the room.
Bat 3 tries the same trick with Leo and also misses. It glides sullenly away, unable to escape from the circling warriors below.
Bats have a flyby attack which allows them to fly 8 squares and make an attack as part of their action. This does not provoke an OA.
Leo - you need to reconsider your action
