Lormo Shashud |
"First of all, we need to investigate all parts of island, so this direction is as good for start as many others." elf stopped watching trees and turned his face to Baelir, "I haven't seen any stream map, but if someone from Jenivere is still alive, they might be on shore west. We haven't found dinghy, and going west might give good overview around." elf switched hand and took his crossbow in left one, for a change, "But if we fully cut of the sea from west side, than we might expect less danger from that side. And finally, I would like to catch one of those sea scorpions, preferably small one, alive to take his poison for investigation."
Mosi Night Arrow |
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Mosi spends her time looking for items the new zoo can eat as she follows the others.
Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Mosi Night Arrow |
Mosi steps to the side and takes careful aim.

Crit: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 3 - 2 = 18
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 What a mighty crit :(
Baelir |
Moving to the back of the party to defend from the cannibals Baelir draws his blade. Cursing under his breath he thrusts the blade forward. He's never had to kill a person before, and he didn't want to start now.
Maybe I could just wound him heavily
Rapier: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 121d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Lormo Shashud |
Lormo noticed the painted face of a man. His first reflex was to shoot, but then he decided not to:
"STOP!", he shouted in Common and Polyglot. "No fight!"
He was holding his crossbow, ready to press a trigger and stepped south a bit, to protect gnome's back.
"Surrender!", his vocabulary was not very fluent, but he hoped, that they understand it. "Drop your weapon!"
He hesitate a moment, and when cannibal moved, he pressed trigger.
Attack (crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 1d8 ⇒ 5
He saw his arrow missed, and dropped crossbow hanging, taking out his sap.
Salty GM |
@Lormo That actually hit it's mark. These guys don't have alot of AC.
The combine attacks has downed one of the hunters.
The other cannibal goes around and strikes Mosi with his broken sword. It would appear that he does not care about your pleas.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
He takes her by surprise when she attacked his partner and puts a large gash across her
Lormo Shashud |
Lormo stepped southwest to reach the one, who was hitting Modi, with his sap.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 DMG: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Baelir |
Baelir moves around to strike the cannibal but fumbles with his sword. His eyes go wide when he realizes how poorly his swing is.
Did somebody grease the handle of my blade?
Rapier: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Mosi Night Arrow |
Realizing this creature is in her face Mosi strikes out with her fist.
Unarmed: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
But the pain in her side caused her to jerk in pain and miss her target completely.
Kasia |
Slipping past Albawar, Kasia tries to nimbly put herself in flanking position with Mosi. "Get back Mosi! Let him take me on!"
Did not realize combat grid was up. Only just moved. That's my fault, sorry. I believe I provoke an AOO from our friend for movement.
dmg: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Crouching low, she jabs upwards toward the opponent's chest.
Salty GM |
Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 Saves from the daze.
Attack Mosi: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
He wants exotic meat so he strikes you down.
AOO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Takes a slice at you when you ran by him during his blood craze. He did not seem to notice your attack despite the obvious wound.
Albawar will go up to the cannibal and get him off of Mosi.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
His attack looks like it did some damage, but it does not look like it was the finishing blow. The cannibal rises his sword, but then he rolls his eyes to the back of his head collapses face first into the dirt.
His nonlethal damage exceeds his current hitpoints 5 to 1. So congrats?
Kasia |
"Bind him, Fast!" she dashes over to Mosi.
heal check to stabilize and begin care: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 She expertly tears part of her cloak into strips, and begins applying turniquets To Mosi's left leg and right arm.
Mosi, I'm sorry, I didn't see your HP earlier. That is my fault. Please, can you take it out of the spoiler in future convenient times?
"Albawar, get the idiot secured, and I may start bringing the gods to bear for Mosi."
Baelir |
Baelir stands over the unconscious cannibal with his blade raised to the man in case of more danger.
"What do we intend to do with this one? Bringing him back to camp would simply add another mouth to feed if we have way to communicate."
Kasia |
After tying up the attacker herself, Kasia channels.
channel1: 1d6 ⇒ 1
A faint light fills the entire glade and remains for a longer while.
channel2: 1d6 ⇒ 1
channel3: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Her brow furrows. "We may need to consider getting Mosi back to camp. As for our friend, I fear the gods may want him to be well treated."
Mosi Night Arrow |
Mosi wakes up slowly.
"Wow that guy hit hard."
Mosi limps over to the cannibal.
"What are you going to do with him. You are no going to change his ways you know."
Cloony Verne |
As for our friend, I fear the gods may want him to be well treated.
Only seconds after she said that, a spot of white fell upon the KO cannibal's head, followed by a cheerful bird's song.
Cloony looked up at the canary circling above them.
"Ah, so there you are, come down here this instant."
The canary landed on a small twig above the group, twitching its head in the normal birdly fashion.
Lormo Shashud |
"I'd like to try to communicate with him... Looks like he is one of the locals. Probably, if we can make him talk, we can find out more about dangers around this island", said Lormo. "I hope you don't plan to kill him, when he is disabled, because I don't feel it is right...", he struggled couple moments, choosing words, "It's cruel and unjust."
Lormo checked Mosi's wounds and give her hand, helping to stand up. "Sorry, I wasn't near you to cover, but I hope you'll be OK"
Lormo Shashud |
is it Polyglot or any other language, Lormo knows?
Mosi Night Arrow |
"If you have any more healing you can spare, I could really use some." Mosi says as she looks hopefully at Kasia.
"Lormo, if you want to keep them, be my guest. I just don't know what you are going to do with them."
Baelir |
Baelir lowers his rapier. He sheathes the weapon before kneeling down ready to undo the bindings.
"I really don't think we should keep this one around. Even for study, that seems very wrong. Holding him against his will just for the sake of learning a few tidbits about this island seems unnecessary. Wouldn't it be better to show mercy in hopes of fostering a future friendship? We can also offer death, but I will not kill a man who is defenseless."
He chuckles a bit before continuing.
"I may seem a bit hypocritical for this, but I do have a sense of honor. Let's let him go, if we run into him later we can share a drink and laugh about this later, even if we can't understand one another."
Baelir |
Thinking for a moment, Baelir has a plan. He pulls out some rope and finds a sturdy tree.
"Okay, how about compromise then. We tie this man to a tree, and leave. If his tribe finds him he lives, if nature takes him then it was meant to be. Simple, crude, a bit cold-hearted, but his fate should rest with the gods. If he escapes his bonds we will be long gone by then."
Kasia |
"I approve of your methods. Let nature decide."
Kasia removes the tourniquets. Then she kneels down and spends one of her spells (strike enlarge person).
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
When she kneels before Mosi, light from the glade is sucked into her talisan, then projected in a beam toward the monk.
Mosi Night Arrow |
"Thanks you. If you want to let nature take it's course so be it. Please keep in mind if we meet them again they will not be so kind."
Mosi begins walking back the way we came carefully removing our trail back to the camp.
I will move a good distance and create a trail in another direction. I will take 20 with survival to do this giving me 25. then I will join the others
Lormo Shashud |
"Mosi, I don't think this is right time to split our party and go alone through wilderness. Let's blindfold those guys and keep them walking till we reach west point. Than we can leave them, tighten them to tree or something, so they can untie themselves couple hours later. To this point, we will have enough time to hide our tracks and safely move to the camp, Lormo tried to speak fast and was making some mistakes because of that.
Mosi Night Arrow |
Mosi looks doubtful. "If this is the groups decision so be it. I still think it is a big mistake but I will go along with your decision"
