Mosi Night Arrow |
Realizing she can't do much damage Mosi moves to distract a zombie.
Unarmed strike: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 2 = 14+2 for flanking
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Kasia |
Alright. Time for another hit, then.
Next round.
Kasia keeps any zombies at 10ft, and pokes with her three-pronged trident.
pokey poke poke: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9ouch: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Lormo Shashud |
@GM, I left longsword & crossbow in camp for their protection. Only weapon I have is sap.
Lormo took small step to east, trying to find a better location for sliding blow on undead legs, making it fall.
CMB Trip: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
But zombie used opportunity and landed solid fist on elf head.
AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
It was undead's mistake, because attack make him fall prone, leaving his chest open to other hits.
@GM, hopefully, you don't mind I rolled AoO for zombie, using stats you provided. Just say "no" if you don't like it and I will never do that again.
Baelir |
Morningstar: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 2 = 261d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 2 = 131d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
oh come on dice. Worst critical ever.
Baelir seings the heavy morningstar and feels his attack hit home. Unfortunately for him, the creatures seemed a bit more resistant than he thought.
"I may have to resort to another weapon, will a dagger work? While weaker, the blade can also be used to slice."

Salty GM |
The cold ray hits Albawar in the back by accident. "Watch where you aim that, gnome!" he yells.
The zombie he was fighting goes for another attack.
Zombie 2 Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
He stumbles like and failed to hit him.
Lormo's zombie makes an attempt to get up. AOO roll from Mosi and Lormo
Another zombies attacks Kasia and Baelir.
Kasia's Zombie attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Baelir's Zombie attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
....Really?
Also about enemy's AOO roll by guys. I don't mind if you do that unless I want them to do something else
Baelir |
Baelir drops his morningstar and draws his short dagger from his boot provoking 2 attacks of opportunity before swinging his dagger using the cutting blade.
"Maybe I can get an edge in with this!"
Dagger: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 261d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 231d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 Total 6 slashing damage if I crit to the one I am flanking with Albawar. I like this dagger.
Lormo Shashud |
"Albawar, behind" Lormo gets dwarf's attention to zombie rising unprotected, behind his back. Lormo cannot damage them with AoO, since he has only sap. According to map, looks like Albawar and Kasia (with 10ft trident) can do AoO to our zombie as well.
Meanwhile, elf jumped into opening between Kasia and warrior and swing his sap again.
CMB: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Same mistake was done by another zombie: his attack went higher and Lormo pulled his leg up.
AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Smelling flesh and bones, loudly hit a deck's wood.
Cloony Verne |
Wow, 17 ranged touch attack is a miss on a zombie? I thought their AC sucked on that department.
Cloony makes a gesture of "oops", as his ray apparantly hit Albawar in the shoulder.
He moves slightly SE and aims a ray at the zombie Baerlir is fighting.
Ranged touch, into melee: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 3 - 4 = 15
Salty GM |
@CloonyThat was for the attack on Albawar. Since that was shot into melee and miss, I had you roll to see if you hit him instead. You latest roll is a hit.
Baelir manages to land a strike that is deep enough to cause one zombie to collapse.
The poor tripped tries to get up, but it keeps on get hammered on.
Albawar AOO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage A00: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
The other two zombies continues to attack on Albwar and Baelir respectfully.
Albawar Zombie: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Albawar Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Albawar Hp = 5/14
Baelir Zombie: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
They're getting more ferocious after their buddy died(?).
Sick of having to deal with these creatures, Albawar drops his chain and draws his waraxe and fends of the attacking zombie.
Albawar attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Chops its head clean off.
Two left.
Mosi Night Arrow |
Mosi attempt to strike this creature once again.
"Maybe one of them has a rusty blade I can use. Just in case we run into something like these again." she sighs hopefully
Unarmed attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Her strike hits nothing but air.
Lormo Shashud |
"Let me help you", said Lormo moving back in defensive stance.
AoO from Green: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
His mighty slam was unable to reach nimble elf.
And he moved around one that Baelir was fighting with.
AoO from Black: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
"OK, close on him" he said, trying to provide a better hit for the ally. Zombie turned angry eyes to him and tried to slam Lormo, but defensive stance saved him from a might blow.
Trip: 1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 1 - 4 = -1
Because of jumping and blocking tricks, professor failed to land a blow at creatures leg.
Salty GM |
Cloony casts ray of frost at the zombie Mosi and Kasia is attacking.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 3 - 4 = 14
Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
It finally kills that zombie.
The last zombie attacks Baelir.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Albawar goes at the last zombie
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
All zomibes are dead now.
Cloony Verne |
"They are...dead? I mean, dead dead, dead as in not getting up again ever again."
He picks up a loose piece of wood and throws it at a zombie's head to see if there is a reaction.
"Nothing....well that is a relief. Speaking of which, is everybody okay?"
Lormo Shashud |
"That was dangerous..." Lormo loudly exhaled. "Albawar, your axe was valueable as never. You all made impossible during that fight... Probably, I need to take my sword back if this place has lots of creatures like that..."
After couple moments, elf forgot the fight investigating the nature of those zombies.
Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
"Mmm... That's interesting..." he was whispering as usually, when working.
About dice roller: This is 4th 1 in a row across all my characters...
Baelir |
Baelir picks up his morningstar and wipes his dagger on a zombies clothes.
"Mum always said make sure you bring a dagger or blade of some kind. And a towel. Not so sure about the second one but a blade has been very handy. Unfortunately I only have the one dagger so if we ever come across another set of these undead I can't loan this out."
Mosi Night Arrow |
"A towel interesting. I would guess to clean the weapon? I am afraid when I joined the ship I was in a little bit of a hurry and and dagger was not readily available."
Lormo Shashud |
Lormo also was surprised to hear about towel, but he didn't wanted to admit that he doesn't know, why the towel is so important.
"Let's check out, what useful we can find here. Please, do not spread wide, in case there is another zombie hiding behind doors or in crates."
Baelir |
Cleaning and sheathing his blade, Baelir picks up his morningstar and frowns at the balance.
"Aside from the obvious uses, a towel has a lot of uses. You can rip it up to make bandages, use it to make a small blanket if it gets too cold and you are without your sleeping gear or sleep on top of it if the ground is a bit harder than you'd like, fold it up like a bindle and carry things around with it, soak it in cool water and wrap it around a burn, the list goes on and on. We shouldn't dawdle for too long or else we will lose the light of day."
Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, anyone?
Salty GM |
Zombies do note carry any weapons and the clothes they carry have degraded to the point that it is barely holding on the seams.
Inside does not look much better what with the wood been rotted away from the seawater. The some of the boat's bottom have give way and anything that have been there would have fallen into the sea.
Despite that, you find lockers and crates that, while also fallen apart, kept the valuables safe.
You found the following things: handaxe, studded leather, a healer's kit, 6 rations, a tent, rope silk 50ft in length, a fishing net, and a longspear.
I have to reread that book.
Lormo Shashud |
i wanted to make joke about plane traveling guide, but couldn't work out reference to be funny.
"Great find. Probably we should split the load as we swim back. I can take something light, like fishing net and healer's kit. "
Mosi Night Arrow |
"I am not the best swimmer but I will take a few things as well."
she then picks up the handaxe and leather armor.
"Looks like we have rations, a tent , rope and a longspear. Can someone else grab them?"
Lormo Shashud |
"Let's get back to shore" said Lormo, descending into water, "We need to return back to camp and check out, what's happening there. If you will start drowing, don't panic and do not sink your stuff. Just give me a note and I will come to help you."
Mosi Night Arrow |
"Sounds like a good plan. Is someone taking the tent and the long spear? I am sure those at the camp will appreciate this tent!"
Baelir |
Baelir lifts up the tent before looking at the spear or net. Food was more important so he grabbed the net.
"Anything else of value in those lockers? Perhaps if we can access it, the captain's quarters will have some waterproof cases with maps or just shiny objects."
-Posted with Wayfinder
Lormo Shashud |
"Ok, first Kasia took the rations, now you. No problem, Baelir, you can have a net! But, I am not so weak, so please, allow me at least take a longspear back to camp" jokingly Lormo gave net to halforc and took a weapon.
Let's swim!
Lormo Shashud |
Trying not to hit himself, Lormo descended to water and started to swim carrying longspear in one hand.
Swim: 1d20 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 - 1 = 11
Mosi Night Arrow |
Mosi waits for Kasia return, watching the water with care.
Sorry I am not a good swimmer, but I can watch for trouble at least.
Kasia |
K returns the the ship dripping wet and prepares to swim ashore.
"It is glorious down there. However, I fear there is nothing we are looking for below. Might I suggest this would be a suitable campground? Now, I am no engineer, but it would seem the cannibals would have difficulty following us here. Could be unstable, though."
Baelir |
Baelir tests his weight on a floorboard, hearing the squeak he shakes his head.
"I do not trust this, I'm a bit too heavy for these worn out boards. Granted I'm a bit heavier than most of you."
He gives himself a little laugh. After all what fun is life if you cannot laugh at yourself.
