Raineth Lebethron |
Raineth draws out her crossbow and targets one of the standing rats.
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 0 ⇒ (4) + 0 = 4
Kasia |
I have no more spells, and no selective channel.
Pull back a bit and I can heal you.
Kasia moves to put herself between lormo and the rat, attacking and shouting to take it's attention. trident missile: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
go: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Lormo Shashud |
Lormo slowly moved to Kasia, showing her his bitten leg: Probably, you should wash it with some alcohol, to be sure no disease gets in blood stream. But I do have only water with me
Raineth Lebethron |
Gonna assume the one Vallenjos hit is good and dead, lol
The effects of Color Spray shall soon dwindle... Raineth thinks to herself.
Moving next to the surviving, but unconscious rat, she smacks it on the head with her quarterstaff.
Whack: 1d8 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 8
That should keep it incapacitated for a while...
Kasia |
Gonna assume the one Vallenjos hit is good and dead, lol
His stat bar reads at 9, so color me confused, too. I have a channel I would love to pop now that the rats are dead. He seems to be the only one in need of healing.
channel pos: 1d6 ⇒ 2
"We should get back to camp. You should all meet the others. I am almost spent of my powers for today."
Raineth Lebethron |
Raineth nods in agreement, "It would be folly to galavant through the jungle bereft of resources. Besides, I am rather curious about the specimen you have acquired..."
Salty GM |
Heading back to camp took your group until dusk. One of the first to greet you is Ishirou. "'Bout time you guys came back. How goes it-" He stops when he sees that you guys came back with an elf and a large man in tow. He leans in to Mosi, Lormo and Kasia and whispers, "Don't suppose they came with a boat."
Raineth Lebethron |
"Greetings. I am Raineth Lebetheron. Pleasure to meet you." Raineth says, as she looks around their camp.
"You are very fortunate that so many survived both the wreck and the jungle." Raineth remarks, looking reflective and mournful for a brief moment, before giving her new companions a smile. "You have done well to set up camp and protect everyone."
Lormo Shashud |
- I'm ready to take first watch, - said Lormo, - Probably with Vallenjos, since I was quite heavily damaged during todays fights. Mosi and Kasia - what about you taking bridge watch? Than, Raineth and Aerys might guard in the morning, while I feed my animals and work on their cage.
Salty GM |
Ishirou looks nods to the both of the newcomers, "The praises goes to those three. If they weren't there, we would have gone mad or worse. "
You guys do your jobs and goes through the night without incident.
If you guys want to talk to the npcs during that time, go ahead. Also I think it is a good time to have everyone level up to 2. Congrats to putting up with me ;)
Raineth Lebethron |
Raineth remarks, "Valenjos and I have partaken in only a minimal amount of exploration. I am certain wherever you take us will be a fascinating experience...so I am willing to follow your leadership."
Speaking of which, is there anything that us newbies should know about the island at this point from our own time here?"
Lormo Shashud |
Lormo drawed a partial map on the ground:
— We were heading here (1), when we met Raineth and
Vallenjos. Might be, we should finish our exploration, and then move along the south coast (2) before returning back home.
There is a scale on a map. Probably, it should be enough for us to visit two points (green and blue) in one day. We can decide to return back to camp, if we meet any hostility.
Should we influence? our camp-mates again to keep them busy and happy?
Before departure, Lormo checked his zoo, fixed lid on snake cage and did lots of other small things.
Raineth Lebethron |
Raineth spends most of her time in camp with her head in her spellbook, working on new concepts and murmuring something in elven about experimenting with transmutation. At one point, she looks up and asks Vallenjos, "How would you feel about a temporary enhancement to your size in future skirmishes? It could give you an undeniable combat advantage, but may also make you a rather obvious target..."
Once done with her scribbling, she wonders around the camp making polite, but awkward, small talk with those around and tries to get a better look at Lormo's menagerie.
In the morning when the expedition is proposed, Raineth nods, "I'm sure the southern coast will be fascinating."
Salty GM |
You guys head out towards the points as plan. Takes your group a few hours to get there. As get closer to shore, you realize that you are on top of the cliffs that goes along the south shore. Below you is a nest with one of those reptile creatures you saw yesterday before meeting Vallenjos and Raineth.
Mosi Night Arrow |
Did I make any additional arrows?
Mosi packs away her work and prepare to move out.
"Shall we go?" She then begins to move south.
As they reach the cliff with the nest below she smiles. Well if we are up here and they are down there I feel a lot safer!"
How far below and do we see any of the creatures I can shoot from a safe distance?
Raineth Lebethron |
Raineth scratches her head a little and remarks, "I must admit, I got rather carried away by the prospect of exploring and never really inquired...what was it that you were all searching for out here? Was it these <insert scientific name of creature>?"
Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 Knowledge check on the reptiles.
Lormo Shashud |
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 +1 vs traps
Raineth Lebethron |
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Lormo Shashud |
"... I've used to carry a long sword with me, the one that was favourite of my father, but it's quite heavy and too deadly. What the point of killing creature, when you can study it? The crossbow in my hands and my sap is enough. Probably, I need to ask Mosi to do several blunt bolts for me, in case I need to shoot non-violently. Even in extreme situations of fighting and war, we should cherish the humanitarian feeling inside us. This of course is not related to filthy rats..." Lormo was using any opportunity to speak with a magician elven female.
Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Raineth Lebethron |
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
"Perhaps it is best to let them fight as nature intended then?" Raineth replies, as she starts casting. Suddenly and eagle appears and begins lashing out against the lizard in the back row.
Talon 1 Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Talon 1 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Talon 2 Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Talon 2 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Bite Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Can't modify the map right now, since I am at work. However, I would moved behind Vallenjos and summoned the creature so that Vallenjos could flank with it, if he moves straight forward. However, it is attacking the lizard in back.
