I pull inspiration from all over the place! This particular doodad was found on a Subreddit of Reddit.com that's called "What's this thing?" where people post pictures of weird things they can't identify. Here's a link to the post in question!


So, my posting situation will be a bit difficult in the upcoming weeks. Ever hear of those sad stories with homeless vets on the holidays? That would be this guy. So, while I figure out how to stabilize my situation, posting will be difficult for me, Probably 1, maybe 2 posts a day I can get it. Sorry if this messes with the flow of things, and I hope to get back to a normal life so I can get to enjoy my simple hobbies soon.

Jeez, that sucks man. I hope things stabilize for you soon. Let us know if you're in trouble and need help, maybe we can roll for Aid IRL and boost you from a 6 to a 7-9 result.

Oh yeah, Barbarians have an advanced move called Appetite for Destruction that allows you to do this (copy a Fighter class move, that is.) Completely allowed, no problem. Also very thematically appropriate considering it's a bone of your dead god. What kind of creature does it grow in the presence of?

Sees is waiting for the traps to be triggered and a Dwarf to stand between her and the rope ladder pit. If the zombies are waking kobolds up, then the rest of the party can get ready.

To be fair, the dwarf might get some sense that Fssst is hiding something too (an enormous urge to murder the dwarf and his allies).

I am torn between wanting to negotiate our way out of a fight and killing them all.
Do we really want to leave anyone alive who can say to others, "You know, that pack of angry kobolds is coming. They are really pissed and plan on killing all who they see as responsible for the death of their God-Dragon."

I am leaning towards not announcing our existence so we can move around without being hunted all the time.
So far we have left no witnesses apart from the frogs who won't tell or be believed anyway.

Oh we should absolutely kill them. We just might not be able to get information from them after we do so. I'd love to know if the southern dwarves are formally aligned with the folks who killed Gorlaug.

I am curious to see why these dwarves care so much about Gorlaug's hoard. We should figure out if this is a Hobbit/Smaug thing.

Mooshy, my Exterminatus move only would really seem to work if my target can understand my threats. I'd like to take a shot at an in-universe explanation for why Hegh would speak common.

The mortals that stood in quivering tribute to Gorlaug would often send emissaries to Gorlaug's court to attempt to negotiate less draconian terms. Even when Gorlaug allowed these emissaries to live, he would not sully himself by speaking directly to them. This task was left to the members of the honor guard, trained since birth in Common so as to communicate with these lesser beings.

That gives me something to work with Hegh, something that I can add to the worldbuilding process. I'll allow it, since communication is pretty vital to your class.

Ash and blood whip through a raking wind around a decimated battleground. Two lone figures, small but stark against the burning sky, stand at the center of the decimation. One, a female Kobold, disfigured with corrupted dragon's blood, small wings sliding through the folds of her ornate vestments. At the motion of one claw, a blue dragon whelp alights on the ground beside her.

Facing her stands a male Kobold fully enclosed in hasping machinery and buzzing coils. The pull of a lever levels a plasma cannon at the opposing two figures. The wind changes direction and the fogs recedes, revealing the bodies of other Kobolds which litter the ground.

The male Kobold shouts over the gale. "We were friends once!"

"We were never friends, Artificer, and that's the problem, isn't it? You never knew! All those times, success at your fingertips, only to have it whisked away, like a carrot on a string?"
Anathema Arts (Reduce Damage, Interfere): 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6) + 2 = 13

"This ends here, witch!"
Plasma Cannon: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 1) + 3 = 10

The cannon jerks wide at the last second, burning a hole in the side of a mountain.

"Violence, at this stage? How barbaric! You'll hurt my feelings, oh my brother! Gojira doesn't like when my feelings get hurt." The whelp spits and blue lightning snaps and arcs around its mouth.

To the female kobold's surprise it is immediately absorbed by the artifact armor that surrounds the angry male kobold.

And with that the metal machine glows with pulsating energy and rockets into the air, trailing a ribbon of steam and music off towards the setting sun.

I don't know wtf is going on but it's pretty badass O_O

I don't think the Thumps will align. Thunk and Hegh can commence their shortsighted massacre whenever they'd like. Sees will stay perched on top of the temple, aiding and waiting for an opportune time to start blasting the temple.
