If that is true and bonds do not have to resolve symmetrically then I would like to resolve my half of either...
With Fssst the Firestarter...
"Smoog and Fssst disturbed something ancient and deep within the mountain during their escape together."I feel the mountain's death pretty much ended that.
More like progressed it...
I've said too much...

Yeah, I figured a big 'ole hairy plot hook like that would not just go away. :)
My bond with Flung was actually addressed and advanced during play. It seems resolved anyway so I think I am going to go ahead and write another to replace it.

Sure. Do you have a fire-based attack that can "ride" my steam and spread out to lots of targets? I can see Hegh's ice or Grick's electricity using my steam to multiply their attacks. Why not fire?

I think steam and fire would be a less exciting application of the phrase "don't cross the streams" fore will dry the steam and steam will put out fires. But being damp should help lightning and ice.
There is no way we win this. It's four to one. We barely survived the skeletons because Bolgir is a coward. You're all getting an earfull when these frogs take us prisoner. ;P

Very true. The elements can only combine in so many ways. Some more effective than others. I will have to work on a synergy with Fssst's powers we can use some other time.

Also it is more like 2 to 1 (20 of them 9 of us) and we are 2nd level now!!!!

I myself have always prefered to utilize those who could be used instead of killing them off hand. They are basically mercenary type creatures after all, and possibly no friendly to humans then us. And, I kinda did lead us into their tribal home >.>
Ah, the guilt. This is an evil game however, so what can you do. If we survive perhaps they will have good food lying about!

Hegh
1. Yes, everyone can make an attempt to aid a roll as long as they are in a reasonable position to do so. 6s give the DM an opportunity to make a move that follows, 7-9s expose the roller to danger, retribution, or cost, and all that is needed is one 7+ to give the target the coveted +1. All of this hinges on the original roller being 1 away from their target.
He defies danger, rolls a 6.
(at a normal table) DM says he's falling, and, seeing the 6, asks if anyone wants to help.
Flung dives in to save him from being at the bottom of a cliff, and rolls a 9.
DM says Thunk will not fall, but might get scuffed or knocked out, but now Flung is barely hanging on to the cliff face because it wasn't a 10.
Flung defies danger with STR to pull himself up, but gets a 6.
Now DM says Flung is falling, but Sees jumps in to aid Flung... getting a 6 as well.
Grick then aids Flung, getting an 11 and saving both Flung and Thunk.
However, Sees is now flailing on the bring like a wildling.
The DM tells her she can try to dive to the ground and loose her precious cupcake, or roll defy danger with DEX and save herself and the cupcake. Etc. Etc.
2. Sees did not use the aid move, she used Arcane Arts to give Thunk +1d4 to his next attack roll, as well as +2 the next time someone helps him. I was planning to set up for a devastating whirlwind. I was on my phone, so i didn't have a chance to explain myself or paste in all the juicy spoilers.
I don't want to game the system too much, but being that this is Pork's home field, he may be able to affect the situation with a prayer to the spirits of the wild. Pork is the only character who hasn't made an active roll this beat. Make it good though, you gotta ham it up for the DM because he has fiat on all rolls.

I would call upon the wilderness spirits, but, I am loathe to do so without cause. In previous games I've played, a failed rolll flooded half an underground village of Kobolds, ironically enough. The catastrophic consequences of failure and paying natures price, whatever that is, make it a move I'll only use in desperate times. So..HALP! :P

Can you just revert back to kobold form? I would think you would smash thru that tiny birdcage with ease.
You know what Hegh always says: "Gorlaug helps those who help themselves." :P
Seriously though, rules as written I don't think you need to revert to Kobold form before you shapeshift again. There isn't anything in your advanced moves to suggest that is the case.

I've considered it, but, I'm unsure what the cage is made of. I've RP'd examining the cage to see what it's made of. Wood might not hurt so much. an iron birdcage? Me busting out of it might put some hurt on me.
Also considering shifting into a snake or something. Or, if you guys get clobbered, I might stay a bird for a bit. Let you guys get worked over for a bit while I chirp for some frog princeess and keep her happy :P

Good news everyone! I've dug through some old emails, and have managed to scrounge up various Dungeon World related material. Classes, various additional material, etc. It's all sorted, but, I'm not at my home computer where the files are located.
Anyway, if you guys want any of this stuff, just shoot me a message with our email and I'll try to get it sent off.

I also have Class Warfare, including some backer classes, a Red Mage, Dungeoneer, Magnate, Satyr, Elementalist, Awakened Mind, Bearer, Blob, Dragonslayer, Flux, Landed Gentry, Wraithlander, and Dust eater. As well as Funnel world. I have all the Dungeonworld stuff, but I'd feel kinda weird uploading the core stuff. I watch Adam's youtube stuff and it's like... like he's watchn' me...

Yes, the Mooshy wrote...
"Because Kobolds are such a cooperative race in general, all of you have the following racial effect that I homebrewed: You get a "critical bonus teamwork effect" on Aid Another rolls where the final result is 11 or more. (Normally, criticals require you to roll two 6s on your 2d6.)"
Let's see where it goes?

First off, I gotta say this is the most fun I have had roleplaying in a long time. DM Mooshy, you do a wonderful job of recapping and moving the scenes along and your style is awesome.

But, the suspense is killing me!
I am new to PbP so if I am out of line please let me know.
Is this the normal pace of a PbP game?
I definitely want all players to have input before too much action transpires.
Would making our schedules known help manage expectations of story-forwarding and ensure all players have a chance to post?

I am on Pacific Standard Time and can post early morning or evenings.
