I would like to informally introduce an ‘Instinct’ to Smoog’s charachter (loosely based on the mechanic from the Burning Wheel RPG).
During our Perilous Journey evenings and anytime we make camp Smoog will always spend some time inspecting, evaluating, and documenting our group’s magical items for abilities.
If no un-evaluated items are available, Smoog will document something ‘Strange or Amazing” we ran across recently.
-
He is keeping a journal of ‘Amazing Things” he runs across and has already extensively researched Thunk’s Green Gloves.
You can read more about it here…Go to Our Wiki Pages..

I think we need to take a minute and decide who is with whom and for how long. Smoog was helping Fssst dispose of bodies, and Hegh was looting corpses. Thunk may not have been patient enough to wait for all of that to get done, and Sees certainly would not have been.

I also think we may have gotten ahead of ourselves
(possibly trying to catch up too much after the long holiday break from action).
Smoog did delay for looting and destroying corpses so he is in the last group.

Wow Sees, that is awesome. Is it possible your scales are telling more of a story? Perhaps you were destined to be the nest-mother because you have both Black and Red scales? Maybe the All-Eater was female and Gorlaug is the father? That is why Krispa brought the egg to you?

The best answers make more questions. This is definitely the most earth-shattering thing I have up my sleeve, and I did pass it by Mooshy. This is the elaborate tale I'm spinning for my last low-level move. The answer to "What move?" is the last card I've got up my sleeve, so I'll leave that in the air until it comes to pass.

That dagger is mechanically awful for Sees. The slingshot will do the same damage, has a +3 advantage to hit and keeps her out of danger. Gorlaug's Wrath does 1d10 damage, deafens, and has a +2 advantage to hit.
Does the blood on it do anything mechanically?

It's hilarious though, and I'm totally going to find a way to make it super important.
Ha, I'm really enjoying the fact that each of Hegh's three "gifts" to Sees have been either completely practical (dagger, illusion hat) or useless (vial of smells) from his point of view. Sees seems to see it differently.

I don't see a conflict between the translations All-Eater and Protector. ;)
In the weird way we're implementing naming, the language seems to operate like an Asian language, with characters that can mean something individually which has no bearing on their meaning together... except also a character is pronounced backwards if read upside-down.

Everyone should know that I'm adjusting the way rolling for Loot works to make it more fair. Instead of using your Wisdom modifier, everyone in the party will be using the same modifier for Loot rolls - a modifier that I will tell you, based on how loot-filled the location you're in is. For example, looting some Skaven that you mugged with hardly anything on him might be a roll at a -1, but looting a dragon's hoard might be rolled at a +3.

Little bit of strategy over the table, so feel free to leave us to luxuriate in our ignorance, Mooshy.
On the topic of Grick:
- I would imagine the hinted-at solution is to have the cleric Malduin heal him. She commanded her troops to bring any bites to her, as if she could do something about it. Keep in mind though, that something might still be a holy shotgun shell to the back of the neck.
- Looking at the flavor of Grick's magic, I was thinking that once he has the necromancer's skull he would have a chance to seal himself at the brink of death and have us animate him, making something that falls along the wright/revanant/lich scale. (undead with spirits and varying levels of intelligence)
- Smoog could try to use Sees' healing acorn and/or the healing bracelet to make Grick a cyzorg (undead cyborg)... That's a fun option, but probably more risky.
- In the extremely unlikely end of possibilities, we could ask the necromancer to fix it. Even if he might, he might not be able to.
- We do not have a proper healer. Even if I multiclassed cleric, it would be ages before I could cast something that would cure zombie blight. All I can do is rub his chest with Vicks and tell him bedtime stories until he feels better.

Anything else I'm missing?

Fssst has a necklace that has "restorative properties;" however, the loot table is random. I would be pleasantly surprised if it happened to be a necklace of cure major disease.
I thought it was a bracelet, and I looked back to see who had it and I saw Hegh turn the bracelet he found into gold. I was like: "No!" but it was Fssst's necklace that has "restorative properties".

He's tied up downstairs. It's not the necromancer who's here, it's been Twinkletoes the whole time. The Flung we see is the fae trickster in disguise.
(Actually probably not. That's part of why Sees hugged him I was hoping to phase through the illusion.)
