Might as well.... This boat's as safe as any other place in this godforsaken city of the accursed....

Lead the way then while I look for something to drink.

And so the FOs carry on their exploration and search for survivors in the spirited-away city of Hong Kong....

They find another 30 people (11 men, 10 women, 9 children ranging from 3 to 12) hiding out in a fishy-smelling warehouse on the docks....

The FOs bring the 30 survivors from the fishy warehouse to the large fishing junk on which the other survivors they found dwell....

There isn't enough room for the newcomers on the boat, so a gutted out warehouse near the dock where the survivor junk is tethered serves as the new refugee camp....

This place stinks of fish and monster guts.... But it'll have to do until we can start porting these fine folks to nicer accommodations....

MJ gives the ramshackle warehouse a look-over....

"Here's hoping nothing finds them in the meantime."

MJ nods at Sieg.

As the FOs carefully sweep through the godforsaken city of Hong Kong, they arrive eventually at a plaza or court of sorts, a spacious area where a red and gold pagoda rises some 30 ft above the street.

Sieg recalls the promise of the goddess Kwan Yin that the Pearl of Tun Mi Lung, the Typhoon Dragon, rests within the top of a red-and-gold pagoda....

"I think this is the place we are looking for."

He begins striding more quickly, though still cautiously, toward the entrance of the place.

Suddenly, the strange sky darkens as a storm seems to blow in from Lake Hali....

A serpentine form appears in the storm clouds, seeming to slither across the sky as a snake might on land....

NOT SO FAST, NOBLE SIR!!! DO YOU REALLY THINK I WOULD ALLOW MY HONORABLE ANCESTOR'S PEARL TO BE CLAIMED BY ANY VAGABOND WHO THINKS HE CAN FIGHT WITHOUT FIRST TESTING HIS WORTH!?

An ancient imperial sea dragon descends from the storm-tossed sky to challenge the FOs!

YOU MUST BEST ME IN MORTAL COMBAT BEFORE I'LL LET YOU CLAIM THE PEARL OF MY FATHERS FOR YOUR PRIZE!!!

It's voice booms like the crashing tide and the typhoon winds....

Frightful presence 300 ft, Will save vs DC 28 to be shaken instead....

Will save vs DC 28 frightful presence 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (13) + 21 = 34 succeeds.... Daisy is not afraid!

Will save vs DC 28 frightful presence 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 fails.... MJ is very afraid!

For the duration of this fight, Sieg will be dealing nonlethal damage.

The dragon....actually grins at the FOs....

The sea dragon will deal non lethal damage as well....

Daisy smiles broadly, then laughs....

Mikey bows deeply before the sea dragon and ceremoniously turns the Sword of Sif in his grip, so the flat of the blade rather than the lethal edge strikes his opponent....

Sieg smiles back and bows to the dragon, then takes his ready stance.

Marcus dips his head.

"Fair's fair. This should be fun."

Grimm follows suit and bows, extremely anxious about what is to take place.

Derrik's demeanor seemed to grow more and more aggressive and agitated as they continued. The fact that such evil could be had and that the people of this land had to go through such travesties. He would end this evil.. but he needed more power. Much more. There would be no reason to do so only to have it happen again when he was much older or gone.

He had worked tirelessly; helping with finding the injured or harmed with his sight and abilities, ensuring none are maimed or sick.

As the Dragon appears Derrik does not flinch and simply swivel's his weapons in his hand. He shouts to the heavens,

" NOBLE CREATURE OF HONG KONG. I AM DERRIK STONESMITH, KNOWN AS DERRIK THE STUBBORN AND KING ARTHUR REBORN. I MUST SAY IT IS AN HONOR TO FIGHT YOU BUT I WILL NOT BE STOPPED HERE. AFTER YOU ARE DEFEATED I MUST ASK THAT YOU TELL US IF THERE ARE ANY MORE SURVIVORS AND GIVE OUR GROUP. THE FIERCE ONES, YOUR BLESSING. IF POSSIBLE PROTECT THE GROUP OF PEOPLE WE HAVE SECURED AS YOU WILL NO LONGER REQUIRE TO GUARD THE PEARL. NO, HAVE AT THEE! "

Allison pulls hers hands out of her labcoat pockets to make a series of intricate gestures as a hypnotic rainbow pattern forms in the sky around Tun Mi Lung. Affects up to 24 HD of monsters and each monster is treated as being 13 HD lower than they actually are.

Burning 1 Mythic Point for Channel Power. Spell bypasses SR, duration is doubled, and target's save has a -4 (or -2 if mythic) penalty.

DC 29 Will save (with -4 or -2 penalty) or Tun Mi Lung is fascinated.

Derrik turns Dawnbringer to it's side, ensuring a blunt strike and runs until he is right under the drago. At the mere instant he leaps great heights and at the apex of the jump changes direction with the Ithaqua-powered gear, chains warping around the Tun Mi Lung. He spirals around the eastern dragon's body rapidly until the chains release bringing him above the creatures head where he delivers a splendid thump. The red ichor on the back of his armor shooting inside him.

Vell... Dat could have gone better, ja? The doctor says returning her hands to her labcoat pockets. She watches with a small smirk and raised eyebrow as Derrik flies through the air attacking the great dragon.

Marcus moves up and casts Waves of Ecstasy.

DC 31 Will or be Stunned for 1 round and Staggered for 14 more. Successful save reduces effect to Staggered for one round. Spending 1 MP to make him roll the save twice and take the worst result.

Grimm downs an elixir as his body starts to shake spastically while his visage begins to blur and spin until his entire being has transformed into a small tornado creating a whirlwind for the dragon to deal with.

I am unsure how to attack as a whirlwind. Reflex save or take 3d6 points of damage. Doesn't say nonlethal. I got nothin'.

Will save vs DC 31 waves of ecstasy 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 20 = 34 or 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (1) + 20 = 21, whichever is worse....21 fails! Tun Mi Lung is stunned by waves of ecstasy....

OOOOHHHH!!!! THAT'S VERY NIIIICE....

Frightened by the sea dragon's frightful presence, MJ begins to back away, turning to run and dropping the Sword of Sif in his panic....

*Sigh* Oh, Mikey....

Daisy flies 60 ft after Mikey and uses faith's reach to cast remove fear on the terrified fighter....

Now get your chicken butt back here, dude! This is a friendly wrestling match, man!

Koran Leaps into the air after Derrik slamming Mjolnir into the Dragons stomach.

Daisy casts a cure serious wounds to revive Tun Mi Lung, healing 3d8 + 15 ⇒ (1, 5, 3) + 15 = 24 hp nonlethal damage....

Conscious once more, but still staggered by Marcus' waves of ecstasy spell, Tun Mi Lung smiles broadly, showing off his pearly, short sword-sized teeth....

WELL DONE, HEROES!!! YOU HAVE PROVEN YOURSELVES WORTHY INDEED!!! NEVER HAVE I BEEN DEFEATED IN COMBAT.... SO SWIFTLY.... THE PEARL OF TUN MI LUNG AWAITS YOU WITHIN THE APEX OF THIS PAGODA.... USE IT WELL, HEROES!!!

Tun Mi Lung bows and salutes the FOs before launching its serpentine form skyward and flying toward the harbor to fulfill its oath of defending the surviving humans of Hong Kong....

I SHALL TAKE UP YOUR QUEST TO FIND ALL THE SURVIVORS LEFT IN THE CITY, SO YOU MAY RETURN TO EARTH AND DEFEAT THE EVILS THAT THREATEN THE WORLD!!! GOOD LUCK, MIGHTY HEROES!!!

Sieg enters the red-and-gold pagoda, ascends the ladders that link several interior levels decorated with golden Buddhas and ancient Chinese deity idols, and at the topmost level, sees a perfect pearl the size of a golf ball suspended from the rafters in a gilt reliquary, accessible via a final ladder.

Sieg ascends the ladder, opens the reliquary, and claims the Pearl of Tun Mi Lung....
