Correct me if I'm wrong, but flying up 40' from the landing boat would put me 10' above the deck of the boat, so I think I'm well within the haste AoE, no problem if I'm wrong, but that's at least what I was thinking from the GM's last note.

As Andor advances towards the next golem, it attempts to slam him with its massive fists! He attempts to parry the blow, failing, but barely manages to dodge aside at the last minute thanks to the haste spell from Melisande.

Botting Locke

Locke advances foward to the upper deck, lobbing a bomb at the golem. She excludes friendlies from the radius; choosing to throw a frost bomb so as to damage the turrets in the splash radius. The bomb connects, damaging all of the constructs in the process.

The Harbor Guards engaging the golem on the upper deck retreat backwards out of combat, leaving the dangerous situation to the professionals. The ones on the abaft deck take total defense actions, unable to escape due to the turrets and golem blocking their path.

The projectiles strike the turret, but seem to not do enough damage to bypass the construct's hardness! The golem continues to attempt to slam Andor, but fails to get past his defenses. It then releases a blast of slowing energy; catching Andor, Brallenera, and Tereze in the radius! The turrets fire more lasers, each one striking Andor and Brallenera in the process!

22 points fire to Andor, 7 after the resistance to Brallenera. Need Andor/Brallenera/Tereze to make DC 17 Will Save versus Slow. If Hasted and you fail the save, the effect will negate out Haste instead of slowing.

Having seen the Golem attempt to smash into Andor at a distance, Tereze carefully steps back and thinking she is out of range calls down the same blessing of Fire Protection on herself that she just put on Brallenera.

The barbarian effectively sits on the small-sized crystal turret, the device becoming quite spastic as it fires lasers uselessly in all directions! The dwarf-free turret has about as much success as it fires a volley at Andor, which he is able to easily dodge past.

As the last turrent falls, Tereze flies over and examines the downed guards.

Once she is done with the others she pulls out her wand of Cure Light Wounds and starts to heal herself with the wand.

Andor descends down a set of crystalline stairs into a compartment below that appears empty and sterile except for the crumpled bodies of the two Harbor Guardsmen that lie on the floor—smashed by the crystalline automaton that attacked them so suddenly. The opposite end of the compartment has a single door in the bulkhead, seemingly constructed of a single piece of crystal. Lying beside it is an ornate heavy axe with a head of a lustrous silvery metal. As Andor approaches within 10 feet of this door, the crystalline material shimmers and takes on an almost liquid appearance. He is unable to note any apparent traps with his observation, though the now liquid appearance of the door seems unusual.

Tereze says a short prayer over the dead guards before following the others.

When she joins the others she cant help but laugh as she sees Ery leashed to Melisande.
Ahh Ery, how did I know zat you would end up attached to Melisande.

As she turns and examines the dead bodies to make sure there is nothing she can do for them, the grin slowly fades from her face.

Take 10 Heal to see if there is anything more to learn from the guards body or any chance to save them 10 + 5 = 15

Without looking up from the bodies she says:
Someone should check zat Axe as well for magic or traps. It is odd zat ze guards did not grab zat before zey looked at the door.

While she is distracted with the bodies, the spirit of a desiccated monk momentarily appears behind Ery and Melisande, tugging lightly on the leash around Ery's neck and choking him slightly. For any looking it vanishes again into the shadows in the corner of the cabin just moments later.

Melisande detects a magical aura radiating from the previously-crystalline-now-rippling doorway, narrowing it down to a mixed aura of transmutation and conjuration magic. She believes the doorway itself is magical, as opposed to someone casting a spell on an otherwise normal door. Beyond that, she is unable to decipher any additional information.

Read this if passing through the doorway:

Passing through the doorway feels like passing through a curtain of mist, an you emerge on the other side without issue. Beyond, a strangely shaped cabin stretches forward, but its dimensions are difficult to make out due to its alien features. Odd, man-sized cubicles seem to be stacked into the bulkheads themselves throughout the room, but whether sleeping berths, holding cells, or simply shelving is unclear. Their true purpose is further masked by the growths of ghostlike plant life that hang throughout the room. Like thick tendrils of ivy and great curling leaves, these colorless tangles and shoots mat the walls, twist upon the deck, and dangle in curtains from the overhead, eerily shifting in and out of phase as they protrude through solid surfaces and each other alike. It is as if sections of them are wholly present and other parts are mere ghost reflections of the strange plant life. The result is a wraithlike maze of otherworldly growths and tangles.

Due to the alien undergrowth in this chamber, movement speed is reduced by 10 feet (to a minimum of 5 feet per move action). If you are the 1st player to read this, copy and paste the section below to the group to start initiative. Do not share the room description above, as sound will not pass through the doorway and the rippling door does not allow visual sight through it.

The kitsune passes through the portal, the shimmering liquid-like quality of the door rippling briefly as he passes through. It them wavers and changes back to its previously solid crystal state.

Andor:

As you take in the scene, you see eight flame-red humanoids appearing to be a strange mix of insect and reptile, with four arms and twitching, fanged mandibles. They appear slightly ghost-like in appearance, lending you to believe that they are on the Ethereal Plane due to your see invisibility that you have active. There are four immediately surrounding your vicinity as you enter, each one holding a shortsword in three of their claws, with the four others a bit further back in the chamber, the ones in the back holding two longbows between their four claws. They tense, as if waiting for you to act. You glance back to the portal you just passed through, and you note that the shimmering quality of the passage has disappeared and the doorway now seems like solid crystal once again.

You have a standard action left, and they appear to be delaying action until after they gauge your action. What would you like to do?

The doorway shimmers into liquidity as Melisande approaches, allowing her to pass through, then solidifies immediately after she is on the other side. Should the leash still be between her and Eryzule, the solidification of the doorway severs it in twain.

To those wondering about the map, I have not updated it with the monsters as everyone is not seeing the same thing at the moment. The current map has the 2nd level of the ship revealed, your current token location Andor is where you paused briefly. You can still continue your movement if you would like; however the nearest corners to your token are ethereally occupied, your character can stand there but you will be overlapping with the creatures as they can also stand there on their current plane.

I have put gridding up; there are creatures on spaces A2, A3, B2, B3, F2, G1, G3, and G4. Spaces A1, A4, B1, B4, H1, and H4 are too tight to occupy without squeezing if you are medium sized. Please do not put indicators about their locations on the map at the moment, due to everyone not seeing the same thing right now.

The above clarification may adjust where you want to step, Melisande. You can occupy a space with a creature in it, as they are ethereal, though but you might find it mildly disconcerting. The creatures ethereally before you appear to be Xill. Xills are the scourge of the Ethereal Plane, conquering everything in their paths with only one purpose: to perpetuate their race at the expense of others. All xills are female and capable of fertilizing their own eggs, but require living hosts to incubate these eggs, which they inject into paralyzed victims by means of a grotesque ovipositor normally kept retracted behind their mandibles. They possess the ability to shift between the Ethereal Planes; jumping into the Material as a move action, but taking 2 full round actions to move into the Ethereal (becoming more difficult to attack as they transition). They possess no damage resistance, but have mild spell resistance. Evil and alien, the plane-shifting xills possess impressive intelligence and a totalitarian, militaristic culture all their own. Though they see most other life forms as incubators, they particularly prize phase spiders for this purpose.
