Not really worrying about muticlassing too much now, but I was toying with the idea of taking some fighter levels - not until mid levels when I have built up a decent skill wedge - or possibly prestiege classing. Maybe Chevalier, or Eagle Knight, the requirements are not too bad and both fit flavour wise, maybe both if they are both society legal. Though honestly his wills ave being what it is I might just stick with Urban Ranger and prioritise a wisdom item.
I am angling for precise shot, not sure its worth it to go through the style route though, I might change to two handed style. Oh, wait I can take Precise Shot without having Point-blank duh, changing that! Yes that's why I was doing it to get precise shot and eventually rapid shot while skipping PBS.

Thanks a lot for running this, GM Lithrac! You did a great job and I really enjoyed it, even though it had me pretty worried at points (and afterwards, at more points). I really enjoyed the other characters, too - it was a good group.
I received my Chronicle sheet and everything is good on it, thank you.
Which boon do people plan on keeping?
For 2nd level, I plan on just continuing with my pretty plain cleric, although I am a relatively recent returnee to the hobby and have practically no experience yet beyond level 2. (One 3rd level dwarf paladin who went down swinging against a horde of goblinoids in 3.5.)
As an aside, Caradeum was who I was talking about bringing to Beggers Pearl.
As an aside - Beggar's Pearl. Ooph. I just went through that with another character in a group of level 2's playing Tier 1-2... We thought we were reasonably well prepared, but we had some choice words for what they thought was good for Tier 1-2. Party class and racial composition could make a big difference, though; even though we were balanced, we didn't have enough of the right things for that scenario.
have man-bags that hunt you
Still, that reminds me of this movie called "The Beastmaster"...

Hi All,
I am trying to decide on a scenario to run for the online PbP group that I am GMing on here, and I can't decide on one, partly because I haven't played, run, or read that many myself. So, I was wondering, does anyone have some suggestions for ones they loved as a player?
The group has done First Step I and II, Mists of Mwangi, and are now finishing up the Frostfur Captives, with mostly second level characters and a first or two. I had thought of going old school again, perhaps with the Frozen Fingers of Midnight (although one person has played it) or the Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment (which is highly rated but seems to have a love-hate relationship for some people).
Thanks!

If your group has done Mists of Mwangi, it might interest them to continue that story arc with Voice in the Void (season 1), then The Penumbral Accords (season 2), Echoes of the Overwatched (season 3). All four scenarios are about the museum.
I don't know FFoM (haven't played nor run it), but ToEE is a sound choice... if your party is made of roleplayers. From my experience (played it & ran it), it can be one of the most amazing scenario, but only for the right audience.
Otherwise I'd suggest The Night March of Kalkamedes which is also one of the most awesome scenarios I've played in PFS. It requires the players to get very creative, though, so it's for a certain andience again.
Bottom line, I think you can't go wrong with Voice in the Void, if your players aren't roleplayers or creative ones. Or you could run the Veteran's Vault, since you played that one with me already.

I personally found Voice in the Void to be rather disappointing, it felt kinda random, though I understand its better as part of the Blackros Arc, I still cannot see how it could be made to compare with many of the other scenarios I've experienced. In game time it took us about five-ten minutes to complete, which seems pretty unepic compared to most of the few other PFS games I've experienced.

@Rellen - that's a shame you didn't like Voice in the Void, it's a personal favorite.
@Knorrin - I would recommend running VitV highly :), and second GM Lithrac's endorsement. Frozen Fingers of Midnight I actually liked quite a bit as well. ToEE I had a blast playing with my cleric of Asmodeus, but it can be very slow paced and role-play heavy which depending on your group could be painful and frustrating experience.

Adventures suitable for low levels -
Decline of Glory - fun, quite hard. Defend the alamo! Bring a large party...
The Darkest Vengeance - fun shadowy themed, rewards clever players
City of Strangers, Part 1 & 2: I don't care for the shadow lodge arc, but Kaer Maga is a super fun place to adventure in. Especially the prophetic trolls and Miss Feathers.
Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible: poorly dubbed, high flying martial arts adventure.
Modules-
I <3 Midnight Mirror - super fun, hard. Level 4 (so PFS 3 to 5) with planar travel!

I leveled Choamski, and also applied a DM sheet to him.
I picked up the following: Wayfinder, Mwk. Heavy Darkwood Repeating Crossbow (300 + 400 + 30 = 730 gp, 3 lbs), Healer's Kit, Silk Rope, Repeating Crossbow Bolts: Cold Iron (x2, 4 gp), Regular (x6, 6 gp), Weapon blanch (silver) 20 gp, Wand of cure light wounds (2 PA), cloak of resistance +1, scrolls: hide from undead, magic weapon, remove fear, 3 acid flasks

Merry Christmas everyone!
We're less than 24 hours from recruitment ending, and here are the applications so far. As stated, you will be choosing the two companions who'll embark with you on your next journey throughout the Forgotten Laboratory.
Wilhelm Scream, Rogue 2 / Fighter 1
Kort Drakovich, Rogue (Swashbuckler) 1/Sorcerer (Crossblooded) 2
Chasik "Bash", Fighter (Unbreakable) 2
Baru Stills, Swashbuckler 2
Right now it seems that no application fit the arcane caster role, as Kort is more of a rogue type than a caster type. The other three could fit the frontliner role. As far as I'm concerned, voting is open! Two votes for each of you.

I'll vote Kort and Bash to, seems like they would fit well and it'll be nice to have the ability to disable magical traps which Rellen does not get until 3rd level - guessing we can expect a few. I was torn between the rogues with Wilhelm's knowledges being nice, but background tipped it for me.

I am not really a pro at the game, group designs, and the like, at least yet. I'll look them all over, but you can probably just record me as voting "Quorum", with the majority, if that is not too much of a cop-out.

And one last contender, Arryn Wildblood Paladin 3.
Votes as of now:
Wilhelm Scream > 0
Kort Drakovich > 2
Chasik "Bash" > 2
Baru Stills > 0
Arryn Wildblood > 0
Voting ends tomorrow at approximately the same time as today, so that we may start as soon as we can.

Happy with my votes as are, I prefer equal level groups if possible and while Kort is 3rd at this point his multiclassing and low HP should probably make him play like a 2nd level - albeit one with some nice options via vanish, etc.
Rellen's favoured enemy switched up to undead BTW. So prepare to be attacked by dozens of humans :)

No change on my votes. Oh, and Choamski has a backstory now, sort of :) It involves Miss Feathers... no, not like that.

I still have some work to do leveling (this character and two others) and getting Chronicles out for two adventures that ended today, but I could probably have it done in a day or two. If we were to start the next stage I'm pretty sure I would have everything done by the end of introductions and starting material.

No worries Knorrin, we'll start whenever everyone's ready.
By the way, Kort and Chasik "Bash" will join you. Setting this campaign to inactive and creating the Gameplay thread of the other one.
For reference, here's the link to the Forgotten Laboratory thread.
