I hope everybody will have fun playing this game!

Checking in with Knorrin. Regular XP track.

It isn't really my business, of course, by the Shadow Lodge player will, as I understand it, need to change his faction before scenario reporting.

Liberty's Edge

PFS character version done, apparently the name was already taken so I added a middle name. Looking forward to getting stuck in, and happy to be playing with you all!

Regular XP track to, I know you know, but I thought I'd say anyway :)

Regular track for Caradeum.

Grand Lodge

Alright, character sheet inspection is now done, so we'll be able to start shortly.

I just have a request for...

Floggentop:
Could you change faction, please? As of season 5, Shadow Lodge is not a valid faction anymore.

Hi WerePox47. Huzzah competent players!

So Were this is one of my characters who won't kill everthing before you get to act... that's actually most of them :) Hopefully this will be a bit more rp heavy then the other table!

Well Rellen's pretty much built because I just discovered equipment trick on herolab and fell in love with the feat. He should be a pretty tough first level character often getting two attacks a round with the hurl scabbard trick. That said despite him being a rather grumpy fellow I'll certainly try to hold up my end on the RP side of things - I'm just going to try to play that 8 charisma.

Choamski is kind of a concept character. I think your probably working something along the same lines with the Magical Linguist gnome trait. I actually built this fellow around that trait. Guess which class has more language-dependent spells than any other! :)

I saw that and was highly amused by the build. I would like to see some of the other equipment tricks in action. There's a whole bunch in the Adventurer's Armory and a few more from another book that is escaping me at the moment.

Cutter is a straight rip off from Elfquest :) Mechanically he's a halfling instead of an elf to make the wolf riding thing work. I'm very curious to see how he plays out, I've never done a cavalier before. Personality wise he's going to be work in progress, he comes from an tribe of Andoran forest dwelling halfing wolfriders.

I tend not to flesh out backstory too deeply for PFS characters until they are at least level 2, personally. I wait for the muse to strike! I kind of like the idea of Choamski being from Kaer Maga, due to his interest in the monstrous languages. Mabye he's on quest to get goblins to read and write... whoa...

Have you worked out what forest in Andoran Cutter hails from? Arthfell, Darkmoon, or Verduran?

In my experience, halfling cavalier's work out amazingly well, especially once they get to the master of charging stage.

Just noticed that I have a GM chronicle to apply to Caradeum, from a WBG module. (Cutter knows that PbP!) It won't change much, just 500 gp and 2 PP. Will just make a few purchases, probably.

There are other Equipment Tricks in the Pathfinder Society Field Guide - Rope and Sunrod.

Knorrin is going to be a work in progress on his personality, but this is the first time I am actually playing him (he has 1 GM credit). Naurin came along nicely in the last scenario, I thought, but it was fortunate that it practically designed for her (evil fey, using Sylvan, Diplomacy, and even the misadventure into the sewer channel).

I'm still amazed that there is another "Rellen Marn". Is it in reference to something?

Liberty's Edge

Dead

Not that I'm aware of, I've been using the name for years though and it's possible I could have used it on a previous stint on here a couple of years ago.

Grand Lodge

Caradeum, I believe WBG is 1xp/1pp since it's one of the Free RPG day modules.

Forgive me as I'm half asleep, I'm sure I'm just missing it, but where are we beginning and how far is it to Thornkeep?

Ah. You got to choose? He does seem more fun than the new guy.

When this is over, I'll get you to explain to me how you mesh PFS with non-PFS scenarios. Specifically, is there more to go on than the Chronicle sheet?

I was interested in finding a Tier 1-2, re-playable module.

Grand Lodge

Yes, Thornkeep isn't a "real" PFS scenario but can be played as one, so the intro is 100% created by the GM who has free reigns as long as it stays cosmetic (I can't add encounters, treasure, hazards, etc.). The PFS section starts at the entrance of the actual dungeon, hence my fast-forwarding the journey.

Oh and a Blue Book on Thornkeep(5)

Active Effects:

The blue book is from The Ultimate Equipment..

Blue Book
Price 5 gp; Weight 1 lb.

This book details the seedier entertainment establishments in one major city. It contains the names of brothels, burlesque houses, and gambling halls in that city. By consulting the book for 1 hour, for the next 24 hours you gain a +2 circumstance bonus on Knowledge (local), Bluff, and Diplomacy checks to gather or use information in that city. At the GM's discretion, you can use it in settlements near that city for a +1 bonus.

I suppose one could make a case that Thornkeep doesn't qualify as a city, but to be honest i hadn't thought of that till now... Normally these things take place in big cities.. Ill let the GM decide if he can purchase it..

Grand Lodge

Alas, Thornkeep (population 630) hardly counts as a "major city", so you won't find a blue book for that location. It's a shame because blue books are amazing, but it doesn't make sense that a remote den of ruffians like Thornkeep would have a book written about it. Unless by paizo.

Grand Lodge

If you want to buy more things in Absalom, you may do so in the following hours. Otherwise, you will be able to make purchases (though the purchase limit is lower than Absalom's) at Thornkeep.

Thanks ;) I'm not sure Noam would approve of his name being misappropriated for an inquisitor, being such a lover of peace and self-determination.

Hmmm... I wonder in Golarion if "Colorless green ideas sleep furiously" has a useful meaning (sorry, semantics joke).

So unless anyone objects I'll go buy a pair of masterwork stilts for Rellen - he appears to have strong acrobatic tendencies. The short ones are 5 gp, hands free for masterwork, DC 5 acrobatics.

If masterwork aren't available I'll get common -2sp, require hands. All of this is in the UE.

Liberty's Edge

Dead

Makes sense, but lets check the other door first. We'll almost certainly need to head back to town anyway.

Grand Lodge

No problem for the stilts, but just a heads-up, the mist is actually purely cosmetic, it doesn't change anything if you fly above it. But Choamski is immune to its effects for 24 hours since he resisted the illusion.

Liberty's Edge

Dead

Hmmm, ah well nice idea and our actions still make sense IC.

Grand Lodge

For those interested, recruitment for the scenario 5-08 "The Confirmation" is open! Link
