Game Master RPGGGM

With the heart of the Stolen Lands explored and the bandits who ruled there scattered, the long-contested realm finally lies open for pioneers and settlers to stake their claims.:
Amid the rush of opportunistic travelers, the PCs find themselves stewards over a new domain, tasked with the responsibility of guiding and guarding a fledgling nation struggling to grow upon a treacherous borderland. Yet the threats to this new nation quickly prove themselves greater than mere bandits and wild beasts, as the monstrous natives of the hills and forests rampage forth to slaughter all who have trespassed upon their territory. Can the PCs hold the land they’ve fought so hard to explore and tame? Or will their legend be just one more lost to the fangs of the Stolen Lands?

The bit you are looking at is probably the initiative rolls for this round, which on the whole were not great, but shouldn't significantly change much in the grand scheme of things. There are probably a few saving throws coming though, so start warming up your dice. ;)

What I find a bit worrysome is that there was this intermission, followed by Ser Richard effectively opening the meeting and allowing this lich to speak up, then throwing him the skull of his servant, while his guards start lining the balcony.
Getting very "red wedding" vibes here.

It's a Simulacrum, maybe, with half-strength spells? We all survived that, and Durgan just healed the whole room for two-thirds of the damage. Though lucky dice on my part.

In case people are still having difficulty logging in to their Paizo accounts, here's a brief overview of the cause and how to fix it.

He doesn't believe in 'game balance'. Gandalf always lets him pass. As a feat, he has Exotic Weapon Proficiency (beard). The city guard often question him, just because they find him so interesting. His dice bag is woven from tarrasque leather. His TPKs end game lines. His blood cures moderate wounds. He once punched a flumph. Yes, you heard me. He belongs to a prestige class whose sole requirement for entry is just being him. ♬ He is indeed, the most interesting GM in the world. ♬

While we wait for everyone else to post, sit back, relax, and enjoy this--my more interesting alter ego. ;)

Stay thirsty my friends.

Hmm maybe I should put Spellcraft into the status bar?

If you like. I always put Knowledges, Perception, and Sense Motive, and Spellcraft in mine. I take 10 a lot on Knowledge skills and ID checks and it just makes it easier to find/remember. I also keep the charges for things like class abilities, daily spells by level (for spontaneous casters), and wands that I use most often, and keep them up to date along with my character's hit points.

Pushing us onward tonight.

There will be a delay of game. I apologize to everyone, but this is unavoidable. We are putting an expansion onto our house and when they opened the wall, they found extensive (very extensive) termite damage. So In addition to the uncontrolled chaos of having my home torn apart and remodeled, I am dealing with a rather expensive termite treatment bill (and they just keep finding more). Finally, I have a convention coming up that I serve on staff for (running the entire game room and taking care of the website). This has left me frazzled and has overcome my depression meds to the point that I am on the edge of a razor over the abyss.

I am not shutting the game down, just letting you know that my posts will be sporadic for the next several weeks until we get this resolved (hopefully by the end of the month). I will try to update as often as I can, but please be understanding if there is a long delay.

Was curious and poked around. Apparently Serena's player is having a lot of trouble right now, which explains why we haven't seen them around.

Can't do anything about that sort of bugs over the net. But some well wishes, for what they're worth! Take care and I hope stuff works out as well as it can :)

It was copy-pasted over in the games where they DM (I think?). And considering that getting your house and wallet wrecked is extremely upsetting it kinda figures they didn't exactly have the energy to calmly sit down and go over everything :/

What PCs can endure in PF is just astonishing.

Durgan fell 50' onto some spikes, and that did less than half his HP in damage.

I didn't see any way to narrate that plausibly; at 5th level he is just that tough.

Fortunately, he has Fly as a domain spell, although ascending vertically may be a challenge.

I'm playing an Iron Gods AP atm, the barbarian recently charged a robotic monster with the equivalent of two miniguns tanking them with his face. That aside, spells, even evocation type, are often farm less dangerous than "sword to face" /shrug. a level 1 character can hit with the same force of (on average) 40-50 ft of falling.

My apologies. I was lured - by a group of friends, no less - into playing Lost Arc. And my personality is seriously ill-suited to online RPG's. (as is my available time. None of those friends have kids. So I struggled trying not to fall too far behind - and failed anyway.) In a burst of addiction, my priorities temporarily shifted into a unhealthy pattern.(did I mention my personality is ill-suited to this kind of game? I'll say it again.)
And normally I at least get to get a post or two in during work hours, but had some events(first aid refresher etc...) that kept me away from the computer.
I started catching up and will try and get a post in tomorrow.
Sorry, can't blame the site for this one(last time I did have issues with it), this time around it's entirely on me.

I did want to post, but I figure I am also inside the maze - but had no prompt yet because I was MIA?
Did I hear Zokon? Because if I hear none of MY companions, I would probably remain silent myself and look for some exit.(that can be considered a declaration of intent for gameplay purposes if I understood my situation correctly.)

Not knowing when Alia would return I had given myself a possible out by placing her in a possible other maze. I call this solution Schrodinger's elf. I would have had to do something similar with Serena and Durgan had they both failed their save even though there were more than a half-dozen possible teleportation end points. So yes, Alia is in the same maze as Zokon and most definitely heard Shepherd Keegh (because he was yelling), and probably Zokon (even though he wasn't), though at the very least Alia would know that Keegh seemed to be speaking with him.

Anyhow, I'll put you on the maze map.

How "dense" is the hedge? Specifically, could one push through a wall? Or scale it to get an overview of the surrounding area?

I'm going for 'fierce' here people--fierce! | The Trading Post | Tactical Map | Region |

Alia would probably have to do a lot of chopping. The core of the hedge is made up of thick boughs with sharp spiky branches. They go up 10 feet, and unless you are Tiny or smaller are not really scalable. Small creatures could squeeze through them for the cost of some possible scrapes--a little like passing through a damaging wall spell. The stone sections of wall are 12' tall.

Feeling that perhaps she'll have better luck trying to loophole it (or some other cunning word-trap) then actually beating it down with a stick :p
