Sure, sounds fine to me. I'll keep the spoof program (might come in handy). :) But probably a level 5.

And done again. Software purchased, custom commlink done. Program didn't have a way to do a custom hacked OS for 400, so I bought 2 at normal price to simulate.

That always works.

And how does a Level 20 Character in Mount and Blade get owned by a group of 3 Sea Raiders...

EDIT: This game is officially like Minecraft and Mount & Blade, especially with some Mods installed in either. It has so much content and independent community created content that you can run everything from a Ghost in the Shell to a Fallout-Esque game.

HP 10/10 Stun 10/10|Initiative 15 (3)|Ballistic Impact|Defence 14 Gymnastic Dodge 24|Composure 6 Judge 6 Lift/Carry 7 Memory 8|Perception 4 +3 Sight

Fixed up Redlines backstory - just missing the last part about our last run. Will update her profile aswell soon : )

Btw what game is like Minecraft + Mount & Blade?

Btw2 are we using some of the War! rules? The internet says you should be careful with that book ... : ) Anyways - the directly aimed grenade rules ain't that horrible - and it allows someone (wonder whom?) to actually be able to hit with those weapons ... : ) The rules for grenade burst however could probably use a long hard look!

Background:
Growing up
Born SINless Cynthia always had to trust herself over the system to bring food and shelter to herself and her family. She watched her parents struggle with low-end jobs to provide even the meagrest of supplies to the family and she swore she wouldn't live in poverty when she had the chance! From an early age she learned that cooperation was the way to survive on the fringe of society - stand together and fall divided and ect. That was always what her father liked to say anyways. He had a keen interest in philosophy that she really couldn't understand. Why spend so much time thinking about something instead of just doing it? Action, in her mind, always spoke louder then words ! (Another of her fathers philosophers sayings? Maybe something did rub off after all ...)

And a girl of action she was! When not spending her time doing chores she would spend her time playing around with her friends. They were a mischievous bunch - playing tricks on anyone whom had the misfortune of crossing their path. Or playing sports. Even if their neighbours would claim otherwise - most of their actual spare time was spent playing soccer and tag, and not raising hell (but the occasional broken window did certainly not help their reputation). Cynthia found that goalkeeping was her thing. Even hampered by her slight frame her quick reflexes and elven agility would let her block most shots and the match would often finish with her proud but bruised.

As she grew closer to adulthood another interest surfaced. The city proper became an object of obsession for her - it was always visible in the distance, taunting her with its wealth and opportunities but always out of reach for a SiNless nobody like herself. She tried several times to sneak away from her home and visit - but the guards at the checkpoints just laughed and turned her away. But soon enough she realized there where other ways in. Ways unbarred by gates or guards - dark alleys, stinking drainpipes and sewers and - her favourite way - high above the ground on the rooftops. A quick jump here, a little climbing there, and one could easily make the trip! It was probably a safer environment for a girl of her age (any age really) then the other two aswell. There she found herself spending more and more nights perching atop some huge building - looking down at the lights and traffic of the city, dreaming. It was her favourite moments - filled with tranquillity and hope. Maybe those philosophers of father's were on to something after all!

Trouble!
As she and her friend matured their tricks and games evolved took a more dangerous turn. Their childish playfulnesses turned into an adolescents frustration at their situation. Instead of prank calling or drawing crude phalluses on peoples cars they instead started to trash city property and throw rocks at police cars. In their minds - they did all they could to fight of 'the man' and try to get society to take notice ! Obviously, this was not the proudest moments of her life, but she picked up valuable skills for her later occupation. She learned how to blend the perfect Molotov, how to rig it to ignite at set times or just when they had gotten to safety. She learned how to break into cars and houses - granted, not in a subtle way. She learned how to hide and how loud the cops sirens had to be before they needed to run - she learned how the sharp sting of a taser or the blunt impact of a baton felt when one didn't run fast enough.

She doesn't really know how she managed to keep all this from her parents. Maybe they were to overworked to notice the bruises and soot. Maybe they though it was just harmless signs of child's play. Perhaps they always knew - and just didn't care, only happy that someone fought back against the society that shunned them. Time went on - the groups activities spiralled down the rabbit hole towards more balance acts of Neo-Anarchism and Eco-Terrorism. During this time several of her friends went in and out of jail - only fueling their hatred. Luckily for her - her quick foot and lightning reflexes usually got her out of the worst messes. And perhaps her life would have continued down this path - her dreams drowned in fury and helplessness. But something happened. At the time - it was terror, but now she is only thankful. She developed terrible mood swings between darkest depression and lunatic mania. Her parents exhausted their meagre savings and dragged her to psycologists and doctors. The diagnosis was clear - but harsh. She had Bi-Polar disorder and would need expensive medication or gene-therapy. Her poor parents couldn't really afford either - but by working double or even triple shifts they could scrape together enough for some off-brand pills to ease the symptoms.

For the first time in years she felt like she could see and think clearly. Her parents were working themselves to death for her sake - and she was just throwing it away on stupid vandalism? There was no future in that! No way to get out of this ... swamp of s!~!tyness and poverty. She realized what she had to do - she had to stand on her own legs - pull her own weight - like she done when she was younger. Except it was alot more weight this time around - her medication wasn't cheap and she didn't fancy living without her. Quickly she started digging around - even if nothing of physical value had come from her destructive time, the contacts she had acquired and the skillset had some use.

She started to spend less and less time with her companions and more time with the unsavoury contacts they had. She looked for work wherever she could find it - the shady businessman that sold fertilizer for explosives earlier needed a favour here, the local devil rat population might need some culling. All in all, she had soon made enough sweet nuyen to move out and take care of herself. But still, the city called to her - and the crappy apartment in the suburbs didn't quite match her dream. So she dug deeper in Settles shadows and finally manages to land herself a spot in a run. The team was mostly new recruits - only a few had more then a handful runs under their belt - and she was the greenest of them all. She was relegated to some legwork and, on the night of the run, a combined role of lookout and driver for the secondary getaway car. Anyways, the run went of without a hitch - and the rest is history.

Shadowrunning

As a Shadowrunner Cynthia quickly advanced past simple lookout roles and into more daring B&E and demolition work, where her background once more showed itself. It didn't take long for her to realize that watching things explode was more then some childish joy from her younger days - it was the reason she lived and breathed. And it was not always possible to get right up next to whatever that needed a good kaboom, thus the path of progression was obvious. She bought her first RPG from an old Russian running a military surplus store for gun-nuts and never looked back. A grenade or two quickly became several rocketlaunchers and other hardware - far to hot to have laying about in her apartment (now located on the top floor in Seattle proper). To remedy this she rented a storage container in a high security compound with the 'no questions asked' optional plan. A Swiss bank account for equipment if you will, but with a worse view.

Her life continued on this route for several years - doing mostly shorter smaller runs - until about a month ago. Then she was contacted by someone willing to pay good nuyen for her expertise and was drafted into this new team of runners...

[brief description of our previous run?]

Male Romanian Night One (Elf) Wired Adept

I think we had kind of settled on the previous run as having been a protection run, where we all were on protection duty against other runners/gangers/crooks for a change. Everyone got to shine some, and it was generally a success.

HP 10/10 Stun 10/10|Initiative 15 (3)|Ballistic Impact|Defence 14 Gymnastic Dodge 24|Composure 6 Judge 6 Lift/Carry 7 Memory 8|Perception 4 +3 Sight

Yeah - but I haven't really gotten any good inspiration on what to write about it, if any. Might just leave it blank : )

Male Romanian Night One (Elf) Wired Adept

I find things like that tend to work better as a collaboration in game. People making up things about the run as we talk in game. Especially if they draw a parallel to the current ingame situation.

example :

"Redline, check your six. Those gangers that attacked us snuck in via the sewer, make sure that sewer entrance behind you isn't full of white faced elf posers!"

HP 10/10 Stun 10/10|Initiative 15 (3)|Ballistic Impact|Defence 14 Gymnastic Dodge 24|Composure 6 Judge 6 Lift/Carry 7 Memory 8|Perception 4 +3 Sight

Indeed : )

Edit: Now - done! Everything should be ready to rock!

Ehm - just one question - there were talk about no encumbrance for armour unless we went full retard and I just realized I might be dancing on the line!

Is a full body undersuit + camo gear ontop overkill ? They are 14/8 together - and I have some extra Secure Tech pieces to bring up the impact part to respectable levels ...

Male

How's your body?

3. So about average. Just feeling that its quite alot of armour ...

Male

So with form-fitting armor, your normal maximum ballistic would be 9...

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

There are armors you can layer?

Also on Armour: As long as it is reasonable you will not suffer any bulk/encumbrance from it.

This was the reason I asked : )

Formfitting body suits is the armour you layer with - what he meant is that ordinary you start to suffer encumbrance if your armour is over Body x2, or alternatively, Body x3 if it is one suit/specifically tailored for you

Form Fitting Body Armour(FFBA) if I remember correctly actually is free without counting for encumbrance. Think of it as a Kevlar Surfing Suit.

Basically I was thinking as long as it isn't like:

FFBA then Actioneer Business Suit then Armoured Jacket then Full Body Armour then a Jumpsuit over that you will be fine.

So a FFBA then Actioneer Business Suit then an Armoured Jacket is reasonable but you will only get the Armoured Jacket + the FFBA's Armour Values.

And wow I read your name as Clair Redfield...

BTW: You might want to recheck the rules for you augmentations because I think some of them are incompatible... And maybe consider taking Type O System instead of Biocompatibility. Seems like it might be a bit better for you in the long run.

Also I am having problems with Google Docs so I will be trying to use Skydrive. So I will be running a bit behind. Though I think we have lost a player or two...

Male

Form-fitting counts for half it's value against your max, so with the full body (6b/2i) you're down 3b/1i, so with Bodx2 (Bod 3 x2 = 6), you have (6b -3 | 6i -1) 3b and 5i remaining, thus total armor possible is 9b/7i.

That seems correct though isn't it just the highest one not both...

Also what I am thinking is using the Tweaking Armour Encumbrance from Arsenal and adding a bit more freedom to it. Also we are using Maximum Armour Modifications just under that option.

Edit: Though I might recommend setting it up as armour packages. So stealth Missions using Camo Suit while the not-so-stealthy missions rock the FFBA and the SecureTech* Stuff under Armoured Clothing or something. The Lined Coat well that I am unsure on...

And I am surprised to see Camo Suit before an Armoured Jacket...

*SecureTech is a small RL Private Security Contractor.

Male

For Lyst I put the secureTech+small resistances as the constant for his armor, adding on the chameleon suit with thermal damping for stealth missions or the FFBA+vest with bigger resistances for street action.

Male Romanian Night One (Elf) Wired Adept

I believe the FFBA + Lined Coat is legal yes?

SecureTech Stuff is an add on for armour so you might could use the FFBA as the base for everything.

@Dorjan: Yes it is.

Male Romanian Night One (Elf) Wired Adept

Dorjan uses the FFBA when he's on a meet, and both on a run.

Maybe combine them with an Actioneer Business Suit. Though a Basic Suit with no armouring is cheaper (or even free...).

Male Romanian Night One (Elf) Wired Adept

LOL
Yeah, good thing then. I didn't buy any actual 'clothing' since most GMs just handwave clothing, and I'm out of practice actually buying them. :) Usually I only bother with things that have mechanical benefit. :)

Basic Clothing is cheap enough that it can be assumed you have something available though it might be outdated.

Male

SecureTech *can* be strapped onto existing armor, or worn under it. It modifies an armor's rating, but isn't considered integrated with that piece of armor and may therefore be used with/under different armor ensembles.

I can understand that it is just odd to have it form the base of an Armour Set.

Male

I suppose. It's just the only thing that can switch between the two without putting me over Bodx2.

As I said previously as long as it is reasonable you will be fine. Heck your full armour loadout could reasonably be worn together with little to no hindrance. And most of what there is would mainly be do to the FFBA being a little to form fitting.

HP 10/10 Stun 10/10|Initiative 15 (3)|Ballistic Impact|Defence 14 Gymnastic Dodge 24|Composure 6 Judge 6 Lift/Carry 7 Memory 8|Perception 4 +3 Sight

Type 0 system is expensive though : )

Went with camo suit since it felt more fitting on a gun-nut. Besides, with polyrudemerium coating it doesn't really matter anyways : )

Wired Reflexes stack with Reflex Enhancers, so that is cool. Reakt doesn't actually boost Reflexes either, it just adds +2 dice when making defensive tests.

Muscle Toner and Augmentation explicitly stacks.

Synthcardium and Reflex Recorders also stack with everything, and Neo-EPO doesn't mention anything about any compatibility issues so should be fine.

Genetic Optimization stacks with Exceptional Attribute.

Slasher, Injector, Covers, Skillwires and Gecko Hands doesn't interact with anything so they should also be fine.

Have I missed something :)?

Okay I was think of Muscle Replacement and thinking of other augmentations.

I also forgot that 4E had augmented Maximums as well...

HP 10/10 Stun 10/10|Initiative 15 (3)|Ballistic Impact|Defence 14 Gymnastic Dodge 24|Composure 6 Judge 6 Lift/Carry 7 Memory 8|Perception 4 +3 Sight

Np =) There is probably something I missed somewhere anyways - it's always good to check twice.

If 4E didn't have Augmented Maximums I would totally be rocking Move-by-Wires instead of Wired Reflexes. Permanent bullet time ftw!

Anyways - regarding the armour - I think I'll just I'll roll with my camo coat at runs and season with SecTech toys and handwave the bodysuits armour

Move-by-Wires?

HP 10/10 Stun 10/10|Initiative 15 (3)|Ballistic Impact|Defence 14 Gymnastic Dodge 24|Composure 6 Judge 6 Lift/Carry 7 Memory 8|Perception 4 +3 Sight

Check augmentation. You basically put your body in a permanent state of seizures and then have a central computer counteract the undesirable ones. Sounds healthy right ^^? (TLE-x is said to be a common complication and since Redline was originally running those she still have some leftover protection form that.) They give +2 Reaction, +1 Initiative pass, +1 Dodge and skillwires (2/4/5) per rating. Sadly their availability put them out of reach right now (and IIRC the price aswell - my Rating 2 Wired Reflexes was cheaper then Rating 1 Move-by-Wire)

edit: Looked it up, the skillwires are (2/3/5) and they are indeed more expensive at rating one then rating two Wired. 50k vs ~30k so I could easily afford to pick up Alphaware

edit2: I can't read

Wow...

HP 10/10 Stun 10/10|Initiative 15 (3)|Ballistic Impact|Defence 14 Gymnastic Dodge 24|Composure 6 Judge 6 Lift/Carry 7 Memory 8|Perception 4 +3 Sight

Ehm. Fluff:

Move-by-Wire System: Move-by-wire-systems are the cutting-edge in motion control and reaction augmentation. They operate by putting the user’s body in a constant state of seizure, so that it wishes to move in all directions simultaneously. An implanted expert system monitors the seizure and counteracts its effects until the user wishes to act. At that point, it channels the effects of the seizure along the desired path of motion, enabling the user to act with amazing speed and move with unnatural smoothness. The move-by-wire-system is based on similar systems used in aircraft, drone, and vehicle control and has proven to be highly effective—if sometimes debilitating to biological subjects. Move-by-wire users frequently suffer from slight, but uncontrollable, muscle tremors in certain muscle groups when they are at rest, mostly due to errors in the system’s seizure compensation.

=)

Edit: Now, the real fun starts when we start to look at Biodrones (~p153 in Augumentation). A Stirrup-Interface (Move-by-Wires nasty brother), TRACES, Reakt, Reaction Enhancers and Reflex Recorder (Dodge) could potentially boost some poor creatures Reaction by +9 (+11 on defence) with an additional +6 to Dodge.

Now, it would probably cost enough that you could buy an small army instead but hey - atleast you can dodge small-arms fire :D

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Right i guess for the layering of armor i'll leave it to the expert :) and copy their armor setup..

Okay who all is still here and what is a quick run down of your characters?

That's 4.

Faust/Mr. Smiles said he wouldn't be continuing.

Dragon/Pecks hasn't posted since you said you would be shutting down the 4th ed game. I'm willing to bet that he hasn't actually seen that it is back up again ... <-- Dropped him a PM

So if Peck comes back then it is 5. I can work with that.

HP 10/10 Stun 10/10|Initiative 15 (3)|Ballistic Impact|Defence 14 Gymnastic Dodge 24|Composure 6 Judge 6 Lift/Carry 7 Memory 8|Perception 4 +3 Sight

Yepp. If. Hopefully he will reply soon : )

So I got most of the books that were lost back as pdfs now. Unfortunately do to time constraints it has fallen back onto me alone to run the campaigns and as her laptop is officially dead we lost all of the 4E stuff that was built to be used so I will need a bit to get some stand in things done.

BTW: Anyone know of a good and easy to get into Cthulhu game?

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

you are burning trough computers like crazy :)

HP 10/10 Stun 10/10|Initiative 15 (3)|Ballistic Impact|Defence 14 Gymnastic Dodge 24|Composure 6 Judge 6 Lift/Carry 7 Memory 8|Perception 4 +3 Sight

Both Arkham Horror and Mansions of Madness are Cthulhu boardgames, so they are decently quick to set up and run. Both are Fantasy Flight games, which mean they are ... extensive.

The Call of Cthulhu pen and paper rpgs ain't that complex but take a lot more work from the gm (set up a mission, set the mood, etc.).

Also, it seems Pecks is not returning sadly.

That means we will be just us four

It isn't me. It is mainly her. Mine it is more of having OS and electronic problems.

Call of Cthulhu looks awesome...

Also it seems I misunderstood the first mission we had agreed on for the 4E... It was meant to be 400 BP with no equipment and you guys working together to figure out what run you were on to get caught by Olympus Corporate Security. Then you each getting the equivalent of 100BP in Nuyen for equipment.

So do you wanna take that path or would you rather me run a different run...

Olympus Information:

A small company that produces military equipment and maintains a potent military force. They are suspected of providing money and organization for Shadowrunners.

Male Romanian Night One (Elf) Wired Adept

So wait, I'd have to take Dorjan back to the last form of him, and then recreate him again? And he'd have no equipment, not even wired equipment?

Uhm, no I think I'll bow out, I've created and recreated enough characters for this.
