'Officially' they available to Metavariants and SURGED (changeling) - Infected is similar to Meta variants (and I believe they have a few metavariant suggestions of their own) but they can only really take those qualities if the GM approves.
(quick hint on shadowrun min-maxing: when you level you get Karma, when you build chars you get BP. 2 Karma ~ 1 BP but some costs are different. For example, higher attributes cost more karma while each attribute point has a fixed BP cost. Same with skills. But skills cost less in Karma then in BP while abilities are the other way around for some reason ...)

Monies!: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 3) = 13 <- Rolling for starting Y
edit: Here is the link to the Chummer file. Noticed that I somehow managed to pick magic 5 (so thats where all my BP went!) so I'll get an updated copy up somewhere tomorrow (fixing the Nuyen then aswell). Will consider putting up a more readable copy aswell - but the current one should give a good feeling about what he is capable of. And let me know if the link acts up or something (and it isn't a mpg file, no matter what Google says - just open it with Chummer :))

There is an opensource PDF printer application called PDFCreator. It works pretty good, and you can create a PDF as if printing to a printer. That's how I generated my character sheet. Then you can upload that instead, and google drive can display the PDF just fine.

mdt |

Hi Algar,
nice to have another PA. I doubt we'll step on each other's toes though. Dorjan uses his PA abilities to boost his senses, not to fight. We could make a magic lodge to make initiation cheaper though. :)

mdt |

Actually, Dorjan is a wired adept, so he's not too put out by it. If he lost all access to his PA abilities it wouldn't take him out of the fight, it would just lose him some senses and make him vulnerable to flares. All his cyber will continue to work.

Lessah |

Yeah - it was a hyperbole. Most of Stags combat options isn't dependent on magic either (high agility and smartlink) but since we have an impressive ratio of awakened to mundane, it will hit our team more then the typical crew. Besides, there are few places where the background count is high enough to completely cut of access.

Updated version of my character - Peck
Its been a few years (like 4+) since I've played so would anyone that has a chance take a look over it and let me know if you see any issues?
I have 4 or 5 BP to work with for skills, contacts or gear.
Thanks
JD

Mister Fixer |

Well I can see that as it stands you have 2 Unused Clips... Maybe load those with Stick & Shock or some other special Ammo Type.
Maybe pick up a melee combat skill? Even a rating of 1 is 2 more dice over defaulting.
Also I should note that a Starting Certified Credstick is assumed to be a Standard Type not any other.
Also did you drop the CrimSIN?

Lessah |

Hmm - the only 'issues' I could spot is that you have six spare clips but only ammo enough to fill three (60 bullets, 15 in gun, 15x3 in three more clips). And I would put one point of recoil compensation on the Predator just to avoid dealing with differently sized pools for the first and second shot, but that's just me.
Edit: Found the extra ammo
Edit2: @Fixer - he has more bullets in his gear - so he does fill up the clips nicely

Mister Fixer |

Wow... Figures it would be simple...
Also why is it I always seem to forget that the gun comes with a clip...
Though I guess seeing as my characters tend to treat Clips as disposable it makes sense...
BTW: Cheap Recoil Compensation - Personalized Grip for 100 Nuyen. It is more or less going to be treated as a 0 Slot Mod.
My typical Predator has a Personalized Grip, Integral Silencer, Extended Clip, Additional Clip(Pistol). The Extended Clip negates the Additional Clips negative capacity Modifier. Meaning double Capacity. Usual description is that it uses a special type of feeding mechanism that gives it the ability to use the normal clips with the Dual Clip System.

Lessah |

Want to know the worst of it? In the 'how to format your text' spoiler that appears when you type a post - it plainly states how to do striketrough just next to bold and italic. Yet it took me nearly six months (and my GM in another game requesting it) before I noticed !
Usually I go through clips like candy, littering the streets with them. But I specifically bought less clips then ammo this time so I wouldn't throw them away - doing my thing for the planet and all that :P
@Personalized Grip - I can vouch for its awesomeness too! (and it's like the only mod that actually do something for melee weaponary !!) That one of underbarrel weight for cheap RC.

Mister Fixer |

Wow I never noticed that before... I feel blind now...
And I never noticed how cheap the Underbarrel Weight was.
Also for Melee Weapons I think the advanced security ones work as well. Now you can have Blade's Katana!
Also the free action ejection from a smartgun clip is going to be the way you describe while the simple action is going to be taking the time to reclaim the clip as it ejects.
Though I might let you make/buy/"acquire" a Clip Bag style device/accessory/contraption to allow you to reclaim them easier.

Lessah |

Yeah - true - and I think Gecko Grip works as well.
The weight is really cheap - but IIRC it takes several slots so it's only really good at cheap unmodded weaponry. But it works perfectly on those.
Edit: There is such an accessory (smartbag pouch/system) - and I covered my bases. The Nimble Fingers Adept power reduces the Remove Clip action to a Free action from a Simple - so reloading without littering wont be a problem I hope :)

Lessah |

Neither does Advanced Security ^^ Was referring to mods on melee weaponry, should have been clearer - sorry.
Edit: Looked trough 'Stag's sheet again. Something is off ... Looking trough gear a bit closer - then again. Fearful I glance trough it a third time! But alas, I realize, it is true. I forgot to by freakin taser darts. Sigh. I'm starting to fear that all my starting nuyen will be spent before we start ...

Lessah |

Nope - it's just that I finalized my character in Chummer with a few ... *ehm* things forgotten. I had plenty of Y left (~2000 to get the max bonus on the roll) and since I have a middle class lifestyle the conversion is 1:1. So instead of fighting with Chummers rollback feature I'm just using some of my starting cash (small amounts - certainly less then what I had at my disposal in chargen!) to fix these mistakes.
I hope this is ok

Mister Fixer |

It is. I'm just giving you a hard time. And you confused me... Max Bonus on the roll?
And did you not save a copy before you finalized him?
Besides Taser Darts(10) have an Availability of 2 and a cost of 50¥. That is easier to get than .22 Ammo, of any kind, in my neck of the woods.
(You know I just realized I live near the Capital of South Missouri...)
BTW: To get the ¥ Symbol hold the ALT key and press 0165.

Dorjan 'Secerător' Albescu |

You only have 1 lifestyle? What are you, a neophyte? A real runner needs at least 2, preferrably 3, lifestyles.
Low - A dive hide out when you're avoiding someone.
Middle - Where you live normally, day to day, so nobody knows you have money.
High - In your transport, so that when you're on the road for a run, or just taking it easy recovering after a bad job, you have all sorts of ritzy stuff.

Mister Fixer |

My character tends to use a Middle for his normal then Squatter and Low for his Safe Houses. If I need High then I just go to one of my comrade's Places.
Though my 4th Edition Character had the Born Rich and Trust Fund(High) Qualities with a 500BP Build so... And after looking into some of the other Qualities I wished I had gone for Type O System from Augmentation. Bioware that has the Standard Cost but counts as Deltaware for Essence Loss? Where do I sign up!

Dorjan 'Secerător' Albescu |

Huh, I used to live in St. Louis. City is dying, seriously. Nothing coming in, everything migrating out.

mdt |

In Dorjan's line, you often have to go to a new city, leave as little trace as possible, and sit and stake out a place for a long while, watching. So, having a van that has a high lifestyle set up in it makes life nicer. :)

Mister Fixer |

I live in a small town called Crane that is literally just 35 Miles out of Springfield.
Springfield is the only City worth a crap in easy reach of me. Well save Monett and Joplin but... I would prefer to avoid those locations do to former dealing that might come back to haunt me. Kind of like a Shadowrun eating at McHughes in the 5E Quick Start Scenario.
Or get one of the RVs available in 4E. There are what 3 or 4?
BTW: is it just the OS or both the OS and Commlink that is Customized?

mdt |

Yeah, but an RV screams 'I can live here'. A panel van doesn't. :) And with some magnetic signs, you can be any sort of valid truck hanging around the city. :)
Dorjan's is a nond-script gray panel van with 'Michael's Movers' on the side. :)

Mister Fixer |

Nice.
Anyone know where I can find the Commlink Customization Info?
EDIT: Seems the table with the prices for that was left out and is only available in the original 4E Book. Thankfully I have access to that.
EDIT2: I find it funny that 5E is supposed to have easier and faster Chargen than 4E but the 4E players are ahead on character generation...

Lessah |

You get +1 on the starting ¥ for every 100 ¥ left over from generation. It caps on number of dice rolled x3 (eg 12 or 1200¥ left over from chargen). And since I have a dependent and a sweet monthly bill (~7000¥) I'll settle for just one - there are always motels and camping if necessary.
Besides, previous experience tells me that the runners sooner rather then later gets a common hangout - since shared apartments/lifestyles gives such a nice discount ☺
And I have a backup (several in fact, since Chummer can do that automatically) but since it was only minor changes I'm too lazy. Living in Sweden, I doubt I could get my hands on either taser darts (or the modern equivalent, since they really don't exist yet) or ammo without a hassle.
On the topic of Type-O cells - they are the only truly gamebreaking quality I found (in some highly specific builds). Combine it with HMHVV I infection and enjoy (up to, at normal price) 12 essence worth of Bioware and Magic 5 right out of chargen. Pretty nifty eh?
@edit - There are more tools for 4ed and people have more experience with it I guess. On the topic, they have started discussing previous life and how/if the runners know eachother. Maybe we should too.
What's the angle for the startup? Do we know eachother - or have we just been put together by a fixer? Are we staring with Food Fight :P?

Mister Fixer |

The problem with that is the fact that it doesn't work based on an Errata or something.
They actually have to be bought as Deltaware.
We are most definitely NOT starting with Food Fight.
And I think mdt posted the right idea. You might now some of your compatriots but only 1-2 enough to know how how you work, or don't work, together.

Lessah |

Hmm - that is actually pretty reasonable! (and yay to not foodfight)
And I think you are referring to what mdt posted in the 5ed discussion right ?
edit: @mdt For some reason the link in Dorjan's description won't allow previews. But that might be my browser acting up. And another thing - in the profile you have Romanian as a language, but the sheet has Polish?

mdt |

When I made Dorjan, I couldn't find Romanian in the list, so I put Polish as the closest language to Romanian (alphabetically, not phonetically). I figured out how to add a language later, and when I upload the finalized version he'll have Romanian.
As to your preview, I use chrome & Firefox. I've heard google drive and IE don't play well together (wonder why /sarcasm), but have had no issues with firefox or chrome.
