Madam mayor, we have cleared out what could be a nasty mess of evil. But I would suggest that the guard go and close off the stair case that we found to the surface.
I am thinking a really thick smoky fire, and follow the trail of smoke to the (insert direction here) and close off the stairs.
This will get rid of any chance of goblins coming in again.

"Bath sounds excellent. I think I still have some goblin sludge on me," Calene says, flicking a dried gob from her sleeve. "I did want to attempt something quick, first."
Calene shuts her eyes and draws in a sharp inhalation. She whistles a bar from the drinking song, "Cayden's Cup," and thrusts her left hand upward. A soft glow of life energy flickers from the mark on her hand.

She performs this action a second time. As she does so, her wounds, and the wounds of any nearby, quickly stitch together and close.
Shalelu will spend extra time in the smuggler's tunnel below with a couple of the guards.
She will report back to the Mayor and the party, "That strange three armed Goblin must have wandered into the area the same way we approached, through the smuggler's tunnel. I recommend that the tunnel be collapsed and sealed."
Shalelu will let out a long breath of air, "But now a bath is calling." The Ranger will take her leave.
The fissures in the collapsed staircase were far too small for a Goblin to pass through.
We can also RP identifying, selling and buying, in addition to raising levels. But Shalelu will be quick to comment that we must not tarry, for Thistletop awaits.

Elektra will try to sooth Shalelu, as she says that if she is given some time she can prepare better for the tasks ahead. Also, she would not like to tackle the goblin whatever thistletop is without her full arsenal of spells. A certain dwarf would love to know what the sword is and maybe some people would like to improve their equipment. For example transform some weapons to mw, buy decent armor etc. And they want to sell the found loot.

Garrath nods as Shalelu talks, "It is a good thing to collapse those tunnels, whatever is down there should stay there. I think I will join in the bath." Garrath stops a minute and turns a bit red, "Not join in the same bath, just in bathing....in a separate bath...in a different room..." Garrath mutters something about sticking his head in a barrel as he goes to find a bath.
Would the weaponsmith have a masterwork Falchion? If so Garrath would like to purchase it, and then find out if there's anyone around that could possibly enchant it.

Brandark chuckles over Garraths embarrassment. I think the ladies understood what you were trying to say. However, yes, collapsing the smugglers tunnel would be best. As for thistletop, I don't think one day will matter in the long run And speaking of bath's, I think I will go for one now as well
With that, Brandark goes up to wash, change into clean cloths, then come back down to the common area.
A Masterworks Falchion can be found at the Armory. 20% of book price. Finding someone to Enchant it in Sandpoint will be more difficult. The Armory will recommend a trip to Magnimar for that. But Savah will ask around for you.

What he discovers gets him busy with Acolytes from the Cathedral. That evening an exhausted Father Zantus dines at the Rusty Dragon. He was particularly pleased that this evening Ameiko was serving roasted lamb with mint honey. Along with the spiced potatoes, it was a fine meal. He washes it down with copious amounts of the bitter Two Knights stout.
Shalelu is also dining in the Common room that evening. So they end up dining together. Shalelu has the same, except she prefers the local wine.
Anyone else care to join them? We can also RP other visits to such places as the Sandpoint Jeweler (Maver Kesk), Savah's Armory, or Brodert Quink's house. Kelvin may recall Sabyl Sorn's willingness to help with things as well. You will find that she has access to an extensive library.

Elektra will gladly check the library for the ugly and any information of pool magic, hoping to gain some insight on what they found in the halls beneath sandpoint. After making another scroll of create pit she will gladly join father Zantus and Shalelu in the dining room. She will for sure insist in attacking thistletop tomorrow morning lessening the danger of another goblin attack.
With Kelvin present, the library below the Blue Stone will not prove useful in discerning the Uglies or the Pool of Magic.
The scholar in town may be best suited for that.
But you will find that the ragged book found in the spherical room is written in Abyssal. Though no one can read it, Sabyl Sorn can partially translate the heading, 'Lamashtu, the Mother of Monsters'. Ms. Sorn will offer 100g to add this exotic book to her library.
At the Rusty Dragon, Father Zantus recalls the days activities, "I think I solved the mystery of the Mutant Goblin. You know there was a shrine to the monstrous Lamashtu below. There was a basin with a foul water in it. That was the Waters of Lamashtu. It transforms anyone who drinks from it, into a monstrous servant of the Demon. The Goblin must have drank repeatedly from the basin to become that vile creature. We have destroyed the shrine and gathered the bodies to be desecrated. We will be rid of their evil, with the exception of the Quasit. Deverin Hosk will be preserving the remains in a large glass jar filled with Holy Water to be displayed at the Town Hall. A reminder of what was below our fair town."
Garrath comes back from purchasing the items he's looking for, and seeing Shalelu and Father Zantus eating, sets down to join them. "How is the day, kind Father? and you beautiful elven hunter?" He leaves the type of meal up to Ameiko
Ameiko will bring Garrath a large portion of the lamb's leg, with the mint honey and roasted potatoes. She will bring him some of the Stout as well.
"Interesting day to say the least. It is not often that we can destroy a Shrine dedicated to Lamashtu. I am just glad that none of you drank from the waters," the Padre smiles and takes a long gulp of the Stout. His face will squinch up a bit afterwards.

Brandark looks over at Elektra I agree, that us going to thistletop as soon as possible would be best, but I think one more day to sell that which has been identified, and not wanted, and purchace what we need will not be amiss.
Brandark then goes back to his supper.
As much as I think hanging onto that sword would be good, I think selling it, and using the proceeds to purchase better armour and weapons for us, would be better.
"If neither Brandark, nor Garrath want the flaming longsword, perhaps we could sell it and the magic dagger that none of us can use. I certainly do not wish either of them. However, if we can not sell the longsword now, perhaps you could use it for a while Brandark, till we find someone who could afford such a fine weapon."

Garrath looks the blade over, and shrugs with a bit of a grin, pulling out his large blade in two hands, "If I used that toothpick, what would I do with my other hand?" After lunch, Brandark wanders up to the town hall to talk to the mayor.
Mayor Deverin, Sevah mentioned that I should talk to you in regards to anyone who might be able to afford this Indicating the tiny dagger.
It is magic, in that the dagger will always return to the one that throws it. None of my companions nor I will be able to make best use of this.
Will hang onto the longsword for right now, as it is useful.
I assume that the party including Shalelu will accompany Brandark to the Town Hall.
An aide to the Mayor will direct the party to a room on the first floor, Deverin will see party approach, "Oh good, I was hoping you all would come by. I have spoken to the founders and they have agreed that the Quasit will make a good addition to the town museum. We keep important artifacts here. We even have one of Stoot's carvings. It may be the only one to survive the purge." Mayor Deverin will lead the party to a table in the back of the room. A large jar with the body and head of Erylium sits upon it. "I understand that your have its little dress, tiara and dagger. The founders are willing to purchase these items from you to hopefully our mutual benefit." The Mayor will chat briefly with her Aide. "The Town is very grateful for what you all have done. Take this trade as a small token of our gratitude." The Aide will bring in six sacks. In each sack are 75 Korvosan minted Platinum Pieces. "We hope you will consider this a fair trade. Have you had a chance to meet with Brodert Quink?"
During the day, Kelvin will go to the weapon smith and see if she has a composite longbow, strength rating 1, and if possible masterwork. Also going to the armor smith to see if there is masterwork leather or studded leather armor available.
I am going ahead and opening up the discussion thread.
Once the party has been selected, I would like to get everyone's thoughts on ways to move the campaign forward. I am in another PBP campaign and sometimes it takes several days just to play through one round of initiatives.
Now I know that life has this crazy way of getting in the way of our gaming. Shame on it. But it happens. Like this Saturday I am taking a plane trip to Brookfield, CT where my wife is now visiting her sister. Saturday may be a tough day to post, but I am hopeful to get something in before the end of the day. We will be traveling for a good part of next week; but again I hope to have windows of time for posting. There may be a full day, maybe into the next, that I will be unavailable. If it is longer than three days then I am likely in a coma or meeting the Maker. So thoughts on how to handle the party when someone doesn't post for several days would be appreciated. I have prepped for posting situations that will allow you to meet and greet, plus the first encounter or two.
My goal is not only for some good RP but for some fun action packed encounters too.
I look forward to this opportunity to meet and make new friends.
The curse on this particular alias has finally been broken. I've changed the name three times, and not made it into three other PbP, so guess fourth time is the charm!
My thoughts on moving the campaign forward, especially during combat, is for you to roll party initiative, have everyone post their actions, then you sort it out if there is conflicting things. We, the players, have to trust you to figure out what each character would do based on what we have done in the past, and what we say in each post. For example, Kelvin is a sneaky boy, and he is not going to be out front like some tank saying "come and get me", unless I state it specifically in a post. So if what I say are my actions are impossible, I trust that you will take into account what he is (Rogue (scout)) and is not (Fighter (tank)) and have him act accordingly.
Dang, getting old means giving too much advice. heh.
Jeepers, my wife and I go to the local theatre in the round for a 1930's and 1940's song fest for a few hours, and when I come back the gameplay thread is being used....
Too soon? I am just taking advantage of my last few hours with my PC before it is Pad only for a while. The PC is far more versatile for piecing this stuff together. By the way, how do you activate maps in the Gameplay thread?
I am playing in a Second Darkness campaign, and the GM has a little link at the top of the Gameplay thread for "Map." It pulls up the current encounter.
Ah. Use the url= link. Look at 'how to format your text' button below this data entry box.
What I do as GM, is to use the "Race" and "Class/Levels" line on my GM alias for the "Tactical Maps" for each campaign that I am running, so they show up with every GM post.
For the "top of the page" link, once again use url= (see below) and then on the Campaign Info tab for this campaign, put it into the Short description entry.
Let me see how this location works for the current map in play.
I would like for everyone to format their PCs like Kelvins with base Stats added to the Class/Level line. This will help a lot when I do Initiative rolls and other rolls on behalf of your PC.
I am toying with the idea of using photos of miniatures with a handful of smaller encounters. Particularly encounters where Paizo does not have a map.
Please consider a Dungeons & Dragons Miniature (DDM) or a Pathfinder Battles Miniature (PFB) for your PC.
I have provided a link to a miniatures site (Plasticrypt). At the top is a link to the various manufacturers, and then by year of release the various sets.
Kelvin, how do you get that info into your stat line ?
If you edit your profile, you can put a lot more on the Class/Level line than just the Class and Level. You can put a good sized part of your stats. Kelvin's character profile is a good example of some of the information you can put on this line.
Gameplay Note: Ameiko tells Brandark that there are chests in each room for storing the bulk of your equipment. You could use your own lock for free, or for the 3cps rent a lock. The lance is another issue. It is too long for the chest. Ameiko suggest storing it under the bed, suggesting that if anyone tries to steal something that big, they will become easily noticed.
Kelvin, how do you get that info into your stat line ?
Sorry, missed the question. As Mazra says, edit the profile for the character, and on both the "Race" and the "Class/Levels" line you can put anything you want, and that includes most of the "How to format your text" including links, bold, italics, etc. I use it alot on my DM id for map links.
Wow...I feel like the snail in the group now. Had a rough afternoon/evening at work so didn't get to post till now. Super excited to be in the game. I'll format my tag line now. :D. Mazra, I've been looking at your maps all along and they've always come up well for me. :D the only thing I'm not seeing is a Garrath Token. I like how you've set up the background colors for the PCs so they're easy to find, because HOLY CRAP that's a lot of tokens! I just couldn't spot Garrath's
Still looking for the mini. I'm a bit of a mini nut myself, but probably won't be buying any soon. I bought into the Reaper Bones Kickstarter, and what started as about 20 minis, became 264...
This PBP format appears to be a great way to make use of the different languages. I like using the spoilers, showing the language spoken or any non-common languages.

Sounds like one of those persons where it is truly a blessing and an honor when you are able to be with them.
One of my house rules, that I am not even sure is a house rule, is that when a monster falls dead or unconscious, his square or multiple squares become difficult terrain. I have been playing that way in my home brews since 1st edition.

Any thoughts?
I don't know if that is RAW or not, but it is a good rule. I think that I will be adopting that in my next campaign at home. I have been ignoring that there is a body in the square in the past.
Helikon, you got the pronunciation right, spelling is Sla'inte ;) (accent usually OVER the 'a' but can't do it here). Used to have a girlfriend that spoke fluent Gaelic (Scotts Gaelic), and she used to drill that stuff into my head.
Hopefully you should be able to move your tokens around the map. It is easy to get the underlying map out of sync with the tokens. The back button to the far left can undo any hiccups.
