About Albert Malek Garess

A scion of a distant cousin of Lord Howlan Garess, Albert grew up on a modest estate in western Brevoy. When his father died at a young age, Albert was sent to be an assistant to Bren Garess, and studied blacksmithing under the dwarves of the Galushkin Mountains. When his mother became ill, he returned home. Shortly after she passed, he received word of the disappearance of House Rogarvia, as well as the dwarves and his cousin.

Albert has spent the time since managing his family's estate. He also discovered a few texts on magic in his father's library, and has been working on forging magic into his blacksmithing work, although he has not yet succeeded. After hearing that a group of explorers sent from Restov have removed the Stag Lord and intend to set up a new government in the Stolen Lands, he has departed his estate in the hope of offering his services and improving his status.
