Bahram the rogue |

"Well, then, come with us, good hunter, and help us search the debris for signs of these...pugwampis, you said? Surely you, with your great skill, should be able to prove it easily." Anaara approaches the nervous Dashki as she speaks and slips a hand through his elbow, subtly but forcefully beginning to guide him toward the remains of the burning wagon.
this is what Bahram was doing several posts back.

Bahram the rogue |

here are some Acro checks; DC is ??? don't know how many are needed though. also I am assuming that right now Bahram does NOT need to make double checks until through the briar.
check 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
check 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
check 3: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
check 4: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Bahram the rogue |

actually those the checks I needed when everyone else went through so if those are good I can act now. he would not stand around while everyone else went in. if he did then why go in now?
forgot initiative check...
check 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
check 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
moved myself on the map to where I think I would end up at

Belros Silverkin |

Belros slowly makes his way off the cactus and attempts to climb the rope. He moves as quick as he can while attempting to not die as he hears the commotion begin above him. Unknown what he faces at the top he begins his climb upward.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 81d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

TechnoDM |

1d20 ⇒ 19
1d20 ⇒ 6
Round 1 update
Belros
Bahram
The pugwampi
Noonan (will take another damage)
Anaara (will do evil eye DC 14)
Katenui (will do bless)
Morrrigan (will do daze DC 14)
Rombard
Boramyr
Belros fails to climb properly, falls back and takes another damage. BTW, that should have been a climb check rather than acrobatics. So, '+5' rather than '+4'. But, since the rope isn't knotted, it is a DC 15 check. I'll let Boramyr make a DC 15 Survival check on his turn to spend a round knotting the rope. For each 5 he fails by, it will take him another round to fully knot the rope. He should remember to make the check twice.
Bahram makes going throught the briar look easy. Please make acrobatics checks #5 and #6 to get the final third of the way through the briar on Round C. Then we can have your actions for this round -- Round 1.
Then the pugwampi will go, then I will adjudicate everyone else's actions.

Boramyr Cliffstalker |

GM, I would like to dispute that DC, as the CRB page 91 skills states a rope with a wall to brace against is DC 5 as well. I would call a cliff face a wall.
Seeing Belros grab the rope, Boramyr hoists him up using brute strength.
Can lift up to 400lb's that way

Bahram the rogue |

check #5: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
check #6: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Bahram the rogue |

acrobatics check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
acrobatics check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Bahram attempts to maneuver closer to the small creature harassing the group and the poor defenseless goat (is it a female goat?)
made two checks due to bad Puggy Karma.
drawing his blade as he moves
stabby: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
stabby bad karma: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
however the Bad puggy Karma was too much for the dashing and rather handsome, rogue to overcome. perhaps Bahram has dates this creature's daughter in the past? The world may never know.

Round 1 Final
Belros fails to climb properly, falls back and takes another damage. This was listed in the partial Round 1 before.
Bahram makes going throught the briar look easy. Unfortunately, he takes one damage coming out of the briars. He takes a swing at the pugwampi, but misses.
The pugwampi attacks Bahram: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16, and does one damage to him.
Noonan takes another damage as he clambers out of the briar.
The evil eye: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 reduces the effectiveness of the pugwampi's attacks for seven rounds.
Katenui blesses everyone.
The pugwampi is dazed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Rombard is becoming agitated again.
Boramyr hauls Belros up from the ravine.
Round 2 beginning
Belros
Bahram
The pugwampi
Noonan
Anaara
Katenui
Morrrigan
Rombard
Boramyr

Anaara Sand |

Anaara smiles as she feels her curse take hold on the pugwampi, and closes her eyes again. If we must be plagued by bad luck on this cliff, I am thinking you shall be as well. With her final word, her eyes open, once again dancing with light.
Evil eye hex, same DC and duration, but affecting AC this time. The evil eye hex can be applied multiple times if it's affecting different attributes.

Belros Silverkin |

After being lifted to the top of the Ravine Belros quickly surveys his surroundings. Seeing the pugwampi he immediately grabs his bow and fires a shot at the pugwampi. COME HERE YOU LITTLE BUGGER!.
Longbow Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 121d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 61d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
The extra attack mod from bless has already been calculated in. As well as the extra +1 attack and damage for pointblank shot as I'm within 30ft of the blasted thing

TechnoDM |

Active spells - Bless
Morrigan will aid another Belros to try to give him +2 on his next attack.
[dice=Aid another]1d20+2
[dice=Aid another]1d20+2
Unfortunately, RAW says Aid Another only works for melee attacks, not for ranged attacks. This doesn't make sense to me. If Sam is next to Wally, and tries to distract him, shouldn't that give some advantage to Glenda who is shooting from afar? I think I will allow this, just because it makes sense to me. It's too bad you didn't succeed, though.

Boramyr Cliffstalker |

Boramyr pulls his axe from behind his back and then steps in to hit this little thing.
By the maker, hold still you little bugger
attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Belros Silverkin |

After firing his shot and still weak from the fall Belros turns to Morrigan and places a hand on her shoulder. Thanks friend, Apparently the fall has effected both of our concentration. It might take a few seconds to get our focus back He stares into her eyes for a second longer, then turns his attention back on the pugwampi as he assesses his next move.

Anaara Sand |

Oh, do we actually know yet that this is a pugwampi? I've got a Knowledge check of: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 (bad luck check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18) if Knowledge (arcana, nature, or planes) will cover it, and Kevi has a Knowledge check of: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -1 (bad luck check: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 = 7) for any Knowledge check that would give some information.

Round 2, waiting for Bahram before the pugwampi goes.
Belros
Bahram
The pugwampi -2 to Attacks, round 1 of 7
Noonan has a prepared action in case other hostiles show up.
Anaara knows that it is a pugwampi and it has a bad luck aura, will do evil eye against AC
Katenui
Morrrigan will attempt (and fail) to aid another
Rombard is running around on its tether
Boramyr will swing and miss

![]() |

Seeing how battered Belros appears from the cactus and the thorns, Kat once more calls on the powers of the sun causing her hand to again glow brightly. She then reaches out to the ranger causing the glowing light to stream from her to the warrior where it sinks into his wounds, mending and healing them.
Cast CLW on Belros (I think that he is up): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 <-- I think that the pugwampi luck is effecting my d8 as well.

Round 2, Final.
Belros fires at the pugwampi, but at the last moment, he is jostled by an ally and the arrow goes wide.
Bahram will step five feet and double-attack the pugwampi. Rapier attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 201d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10. Dagger attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 181d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
The pugwampi will step around Bahram and attack him. Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 - 2 = 2 {-2 to Attacks, round 1 of 7}, but doesn't even come close.
Noonan has a prepared action in case other hostiles show up.
Anaara knows that it is a pugwampi and it has a bad luck aura, will do evil eye against AC. Pugwampi will save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Katenui heals Belros
Morrrigan will attempt (and fail) to aid another
Rombard is running around on its tether
Boramyr will swing and miss
Round 3, Start.
Belros
Bahram
The pugwampi {-2 to Attacks, round 2 of 7, -2 to AC for one round.}
Noonan
Anaara
Katenui
Morrrigan
Rombard
Boramyr

Belros Silverkin |

Belros thanks Katenui for the renewed strength and fires another shot. Let's try that again
Longbow Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 81d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Belss and Point Blank Shot Bonuses accounted for again. That aura lol

Morrigan Winters |

I realized Daze only works on humanoids. For some reason I thought it worked on anything. Either way, I wouldn't know if the pugwampi was a humanoid or not anyway.
Morrigan draws her crossbow and takes a shot.
Light Crossbow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Light Crossbow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 6
Did I hit? Maybe...? Maybe...?

Anaara Sand |

You spread bad luck; taste it yourself this day. Anaara begins to laugh, a deep, throaty cackle, and rekindles the lights dancing in her eyes as she stares wide-eyed at the creature.
Move action - cackle hex to extend the AC curse for one round, no save. Standard action - Evil Eye to saving throws, you know the drill.

Noonan2 |

Noonan moves up and tries to stab the ugly little thing so this whole farce will end.
Greatsword: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 142d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 3 = 8
Greatsword Reroll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 132d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3) + 3 = 9
If Pugwampis ever get together, they will take over the world.

Bahram the rogue |

Bahram attempt to maneuver once more but a flank is just not immediately feasible.
attack rapier: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
attack bad karma: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
attack dagger: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
dagger bad karma: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
dagger damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

![]() |

Noonan2 - technically, I do not think that you reroll the damage. You usually only reroll all d20, irrespective of what they are for. Personally, I prefer the second damage, but figured I should point this out.

TechnoDM |

Round 3, actions.
Belros' shot goes wide
Bahram's dagger hits the pugwampi, but it seems to take a little less damage than you expected
The pugwampi attempts to stick Bahram again. Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 3 - 2 = 19 Bahram takes another damage. {-2 to Attacks, round 2 of 7, -2 to AC for one round.}
Noonan stabs at the creature and kills it.
Combat over...
Rombard the goat is still tugging at its makeshift tether.
What are you going to do now?
You no longer have to roll twice on each d20. The unluck aura went away with its death.

![]() |

Kat looks at the goat, and then the other members of the party.
As I was saying before that . . . she points at the dead pugwampi . . . thing attacked. I can carry him back by stepping outside of our realm. I can only do it once per day, but it might be good to avoid the goat getting any more spooked, or injured on the thorns.
Then, everyone else can make their way back to camp.
It really depends on how tough it is going to be to get the goat back. If we can just chop through the thorns now, that is probably the easiest tactic.

Anaara Sand |

The animal gave Belros and Morrigan quite the difficult time, and Belros is the one of us most suited to guiding it. Perhaps something that will expedite its return to its masters is indicated. Anaara watches the goat struggle against its lead as Kevi scratches against her leg, wanting to be picked up. Hunching over, she picks up the fox and strokes between its oversized ears. You think you will be able to lead him along with you, making this step outside the material?

![]() |

Kat shrugs:
If we can bind his legs with the rope he is tied with, I should be able to carry him I would think. Or, with all of us here, it might just be easier to cut our way back out and then lead him as a group.

Anaara Sand |

Anaara pulls out a dagger concealed in the folds of her loose clothing. I can assist, although my own contribution will likely be less than the good soldier's.

![]() |

Kat pulls out her dagger.
I can help. I have a whetstone to sharpen after.
Sorry about Kat talking normally some of the time. I keep forgetting to type her speech in what I imagine would be a broken, use to be able to hear, but no longer can, way.

TechnoDM |

Okay. I'm gonna handwaive the trip back to camp. Since you no longer have the unluck bonus, it may take a round or two to calm Rombard down, and between cutting the briars and everyone's being careful I see no need to bog down the game giving 1 or 2 points of frustrating damage.
You arrive back at camp. Most folk are still up.
What do you do?

Morrigan Winters |

"I think we should bring this dead creature back with us too. Maybe someone in camp can tell us more about it and why it might have been in the camp. Hopefully there are not more of these things."
Morrigan picks up the pugwampi corpse by one of its legs and holds it at arms length in disgust.
Back at camp Morrigan suggests, "I think we should go see Almah with this. Oh and of course we need to return Rombard to his owner."

Boramyr Cliffstalker |

Boramyr walks over to Noonan
If that is where he ends up, he ends up, but until then let us get him back to his masters. Until then may the maker help you.
