Already went shopping so I think Logan is good for now. Sounds like a good plan Miri!
Canacha Bais |
i need to edit my wealth i think. I know canacha has not spent a whole lot of money since she is making her own boomstick, but it says 26.other numbers amd for some reason that seems really high >.>
no no.. it appears to be correct holy s+%@e shopping spree >.> how much time do we have here> time for enchanting of things?
Canacha Bais |
also speaking of boomsticks
craft firearms check: 1d20 + 12 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 12 + 5 + 2 = 33x20
660+2170 out of 15000 man im so close -.-
man i feel kinda dumb. SO Gunslingers get gunsmithing as a feet and as im rereading it now it says " Crafting a firearm in this way takes 1 day of work for every 1,000 gp of the firearm’s price (minimum 1 day)." the rifle canacha is working on costs like 5k. well 5.3k thats like 6 days... she has been working on it for 6 weeks. . . . the craft checks ive been doing have been if i didnt have craft firearms as a skill >.>
Jesper Has canacha been obsessively 'crafting' a finished rifle for the last 5 weeks for no reason?
Jesper Roland Sørensen |
I need to read into the gunsmithing and crafting rules, but I think you might have done too much. Let me go over the posts and rules and come back to you.
Mirabella, remember creating forgeries is a secret roll I do when ever you present it to someone to check. It's so the players don't know how good the forgery is.
Mirabella Lindenbrook |
Gotcha. In that cast, Logan should do the forgery, with Mirabella providing +4 from aid another.
Jesper Roland Sørensen |
It looks like you are right Canacha, I forgot that gunsmithing have that feature to craft standard guns in 1 days work. So you might have just been perfecting the gun for weeks never satisfied with the result. Looks like Canacha is packing some heat next combat.
Canacha Bais |
wont help for this mission unless think there is time but canacha would want her new weapon enchanted with a +2 bonus.. (so 2k for plus one, 8k for plus 2) and the ability of corrusive burst (+2 ability cost for another 8k)
18k +2 corrusive burst rifle? yes please.
She will take the exquisate mermaid hilt to a weaponsmith and would love to get get a mithril rapier made from it, with a +1 enchantment and
hmmm frosdt enchantment on it
so mw mithril rapier (300+20+1000) +2000 for +1, and 2000 + frost
is 5320
i have spent 23,320 of the 28 something.
Jesper Roland Sørensen |
If you need a +2 corrosive burst it's 32k gold as it counts as a +4 weapon now.
I can see I missjudged the time it would take to get to and from Menador, it's a 220 mile trek so it takes 10 days of walking each way, therefore I have to make the ball be 4 weeks from this point of the adventure instead of 2 weeks.
Jesper Roland Sørensen |
oh well just magic then i guess, i read that it said it was the cost of a +2 bonus cost with whould have been 9k. definitely dont have the cash for that... probably ever no worries.
Technically that is correct, you just have to remember to move down the table showing the price for enchantment on weapons as you add all the plusses together :)
Mirabella Lindenbrook |
You were right about the 23,300 price tag, Canacha. That is just for a +1 corrosive burst rifle, not a +2 corrosive burst rifle.
A mithral +1 frost rapier would set you back 8,520 gp.

Thanks I missed the frost part of the rapier.
Mirabella Lindenbrook |
Well, the only reason I’m certain I got the pricing right is because I cheat and use HeroLab
Mirabella Lindenbrook |
You’re on to something about corrisive burst on an x4 crit dmg weapon. Your average damage is not that impressive, but a crit melts people’s heads.

Gotta write that one down to use on Canacha....
Sweetie--you melt my head!Canacha Bais |

I had thought so. Was trying to not be just flavor in combat for the party.
I'm confused I thought you had to have a +2 to be able to put on a +2 ability. I'm gathering that's wrong?Mirabella Lindenbrook |
Yup, you always need at least a +1 enhancement to add special abilities. But the ability itself has a bonus equivilant that you add to the basic enhancement to figure out the final price.
So, a +3 rapier, a +2 flaming rapier and a +1 corrosive burst rapier all cost the same.
To add to the confusion, some abilities have a flat gp cost that you then add to the total.
Jesper Roland Sørensen |
Yeah I misunderstood the pricing in the beginning playing PFS also.
As long as a weapon has +1 you can add any of the abilities from +1 to +5 by going down the table of prices. A weapon can never have abilities for more then the equivilant of +10 when everything is added together. But that doesn't count the abilities with a flatcost, as an example the dueling enchantment which cost 14.000 gp no matter what stage you add it to a weapon.
With my gunslinger/inquisitor I use a +1 holy pistol just because I don't really need the extra plusses to hit when targeting touch and than add my bane ability for boss fights.
Mirabella Lindenbrook |
We should finalize purchases before moving on.
Mirabella buys a +2 Charisma headband plus maybe some scrolls. I’ll update her sheet.
What was the verdict on Canacha’s weapon upgrades? And are the rest of you getting new gear?
Mirabella Lindenbrook |
Hey Jesper, after messing around with Mirabella's stats in Hero Lab, I realized that I have yet to use my Intimidating Performance feat, and after studying the feat closer, I'm not really likely to.
When starting a performance as a move action, it will almost always be better to use my standard action to cast a spell (haste, anyone?) instead of trying to demoralize an enemy. Heck, I could cast blistering invective and get the demoralize effect anyway AND light everyone on fire.
So, with your permission, I'd like to retrain that particular feat. I'm thinking of Expanded Arcana, grabbing two extra 2nd level spells known.

I'm fine with retraining feats you pick because the feel cool, but you end up not using them at all.

+1 mithril rapier - (300+20+1000) +2000 for +1 so 3320
and +1 corrisive burst rifle (2000 for the +1 enchant, +18000 for the corrosive burst ability correct?) for 20,000 gp
I just am short of what im comfortable of spending to get the rapier frosted... will do that when we get back from teh fort probably...
but... 23320 spent.
Also... she moved all of jacks stuff into her room. *nods* it silver raven hideout official... Jack is hers *nods nods*

You math is still a bit off, sweetie. Better bust out that abacus one more time.
+1 mithril rapier - (20+1000) +2000 for +1 = 3020 gp (mithral weapons are always masterwork, so you don't pay extra for that)
+1 corrisive burst rifle is 5,300 for the masterwork rifle, +18000 for the base +1 enhancement plus the corrosive burst ability (+3 weapon bonus total) = 23,300 gp
New shiny stabby + new acid shooty = 26,320 gp
New noble-born boy-toy sharing your bunk = priceless

If you feel ready to get the ball rolling, you can walk up to the gate and start asking the guards to let you inside.
Map is updated in 5 minutes.
Mirabella Lindenbrook |
Before we knock on the gates, we still did not settle on how we got to the gap.
I would prefer if we had some mode of relatively speedy getaway, so we’re don’t risk having to flee with a 20 ft movement speed.
A carriage driven by a trusted NPC waiting out of sight is my first choice, followed by horses.
Jesper Roland Sørensen |
You can buy a carrige at a 100 gp or you can buy passage one for for 3 cp per mile, given you want it to wait for you, perhaps buying a carrige and have a hierling be the driver? (We can fashion on of your squads to be trained drivers no problem)
It can transport 4 people in the cabin and one person on the seats next to the driver. It can also carry 200 pounds of cargo.
It is useally pulled by 2 heavy horses making it possible to travel 40 miles per day.
Mirabella Lindenbrook |
Buying our own carriage and getting one of our hirelings to drive sounds like a good option. They can wait out of sight, so they don'r get targeted when we begin attacking the garrison.
