Class feature: Shattering Crescendo (Sp)
At 6th level, the argent voice learns to sing at frequencies capable of shattering magical effects. As a full-round action, an argent voice can use 2 rounds of bardic performance to attempt to dispel a single evil spell or enchantment spell cast by an evil creature. This functions as per dispel magic, using the bard’s level as his caster level. At 18th level, this ability can be used on effects that can be removed by the spell break enchantment.

This replaces suggestion and mass suggestion.

Bicks, at some point we should consider investing in a mnemonic vestment or two as a way for us spontaneous casters to cast situational spells without going broke on scrolls or burning valuable spell slots.

I always thought there was a divine variant, but I've only played clerics or dipped in Inquisitor so never looked into it. Perhaps we should look into creating one.

Also, do we have a loot list for what we've uncovered recently in the Lucky Bones? According to his character sheet, Jack has a whopping 12 gp to his name; that won't get him fixed up any time soon.

I figure we enlist Lena in the base cleanup and corpse disposal. A few blessings and prayers to Miliani should go a long way to banish any lingering restless spirits.

And I'm all for setting up at party fund for healing services and such. Anyone have an updated loot count?

One the plus side you have found a fair bit of gold around the lucky bones so for now healing Jack should not be a problem with Canacha spending all her gold.

Sorry for the delay. Jack's updated sheet isn't done in his profile yet, as I'm updating it with macros for his multiple attack modes.

I know Jack's been a treasure hog, but he could make use of the +1 mithral longsword we found. In addition to being able to hit stuff with DR against nonmagical attacks, Jack could wield it two-handed when trying to beat other forms of DR (which he can't do when armed with two short swords).

I'll understand if folks say No, though.

Male Human Urban Ranger 7 | hp -70- 70/70 NL [0] (0 taken by Bicks)| AC 22, t 15, ff 19 | Fort +8, Ref +8, Will +5 | Init +5 (+3 outside Kintargo) | Perc +15 (13 outside Kintargo) | Speed 20 ft. | FE humans +4; evil outsiders +2 |Conditions: sickened 4/4 rds.

Testing a new attack macro for Jack.

Jack Duncloak +1 mithral longsword (main): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 for magic, silver, slashing damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 (19-20) and
Jack Duncloak mwk short sword (off-hand): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 for piercing damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 (19-20) and
Jack Duncloak +1 mithral longsword (main; iterative): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 for magic, silver, slashing damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 (19-20) and
Jack Duncloak mwk short sword (off-hand; iterative): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 for piercing damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 (19-20)
Jack Duncloak mwk short sword (off-hand; iterative--Confirm?): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 for piercing damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 (19-20)

Also, giving fair warning that the treasure hog is tentatively claiming the magical longsword we found (hopefully the last treasure item he'll claim for a long while).

Also also (though I really don't want to do this), I'll make the rolls here for the lesser restoration spells cast by the priest on Jack to see if he'll need additional bed rest to fully recover from his ghostly ordeal.

lesser restoration (heal Con dmg): 1d4 ⇒ 3
lesser restoration (heal Wis dmg): 1d4 ⇒ 3

Wow...there may be hope after all. Jack should be at full strength after a night's rest (assuming a bit of healing from Lena or Mirabella to restore lost hps from the Con damage).

Liberty's Edge

actually Jack she was casting a normal restoration on you, no need to roll it heals all temporary stat damages.

Potionsponges might be a good idea so you can drink while underwater.
Scrolls/potions of water breathing and airbubble are useful.

Are anyone unfamiliar with underwater combat btw? I can put up a small overview of what it means for spells, melee and ranged combat if you like.

Yeah, that would be helpful. The two big things I remember about underwater combat are: 1) You need to succeed on a DC 10 Swim check to avoid penalties on attacks; and 2) You should use piercing weapons. To that second point, Jack's carrying two daggers he could lend out to Medium party members if needed (a masterwork silver dagger and a basic cold iron one).

Melee attacks underwater: That is mostly correct, if you don't have a swim speed or freedom of movement you need to make a DC10 Swim Check or you get -2 on attack rolls and only deal half damage even with piercing weapons. If you carry about 16 pounts of equipment as a medium creature you can walk alond the ground and be considering to have firm footing and are able to attack normally with piercing weapons.

Ranged Attacks Underwater: Thrown weapons are ineffective underwater, even when launched from land. Attacks with other ranged weapons take a –2 penalty on attack rolls for every 5 feet of water they pass through, in addition to the normal penalties for range.

Spellcasting Underwater: Casting spells while submerged can be difficult for those who cannot breathe underwater. A creature that cannot breathe water must make a concentration check (DC 15 + spell level) to cast a spell underwater (this is in addition to the caster level check to successfully cast a fire spell underwater). Creatures that can breathe water are unaffected and can cast spells normally.

Fire: Nonmagical fire (including alchemist’s fire) does not burn underwater. Spells or spell-like effects with the fire descriptor are ineffective underwater unless the caster makes a caster level check (DC 20 + spell level). If the check succeeds, the spell creates a bubble of steam instead of its usual fiery effect, but otherwise the spell works as described.
