Those plans all sound good. Victor doesn't mind sharing the cloak. This will let him go get into his own trouble while half of you all are distracted :)
*Also this is a good time to get a decent idea if people are way behind others on 'loot'. Since we have a bit of extra gold we can give those that have fallen back a bit of extra coin to make some upgrades.
Thoughts?

Issil Tanessen |

I took the Craft Magic Arms and Armor feat at level 5.
Now that we have some downtime, you can provide me with the raw materials, I will enhance our weapons and armor at cost.
Crafting Magic Weapons
Crafting Magic Armor
At level 6 I can enchant up to a +2 bonus. I will need 1 day for each 1000 gp of the base price, so +1 armor will take 1 day and +2 will take 4 days.
I assume going from +1 to +2 will take 3 days.

3500+4200 = 1540 gp for everyone but Issil, 1040 gp and gems valued at 500 gp for Issil.
The parts cost 3000, leaving each of you with 940 gp from the group treasure.
Padraig's shadow leather is sold for 3955 gp
Sorry my brain's so foggy, I'm not sure how to track this.
After the sales and repair parts calculations above, we each walk away with 940gp, right?
The proceeds from the sale of the +2 shadow leather armor would also be divided 5 ways, I thought, since PH didn't purchase it; it was just among the loot we found.
So another 791gp each?
Also, does the availability roll for the headband of alluring charisma +2 and a handy haversack happen now, or later?

Roger Schmitt |

*Thanks Padraig, I added that to my total.
After browsing everyone's character sheets to see rough values of equipment, Victor hereby bequeaths the following to his team members:
A bag of 1000 gold coins to EACH
He also sneaks the Amulet of Natural Armor +1 onto Geoffrey's neck in the night.
*I'm still way ahead on loot value, but at least this helps even it out a little bit.
No arguing.

Geoffrey Piersym |

Okay updated Geoffrey's loot list with the additional loot from Padraig and Victor.
I don't believe armor bonuses stack however. Can someone verify this?

Geoffrey Piersym |

Okay good to know! I will add the Amulet to his equipment list then :)

![]() |

Pádraig, that's right. 940+791=1731 total. Then Victor gave everyone some free gold! Woo.
Can I get some DC 24 Spellcraft checks for the bag, given that it'll take 3 days for Morvena to repair the pumps, before I roll item availability? You can roll those here in Discussion.

Issil Tanessen |

Day 1: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 10 + 1 = 14
Day 2: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 10 + 1 = 25 Woo! We got a winner!
Day 3: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 10 + 1 = 19

![]() |

Well, what do you know? The bag is a handy haversack. :-)
I'll roll item availability in a minute.

![]() |

Kintargo has a base value of 4,400 gp, and anything costing more than 200 gp but less than 4,400 gp has a 75% chance of being available.
Item availability (>= 25 is available), Headband of alluring charisma +2: 1d100 ⇒ 92
Item availability (>= 25 is available), glamered mithral shirt: 1d100 ⇒ 29
Edit
Item availability (>= 25 is available), mithral rapier: 1d100 ⇒ 97
Item availability (>= 25 is available), mithral buckler: 1d100 ⇒ 25
These are readily available after a short time spent shopping.
A ring of force shield costs 8,500 gp. It won't be so readily available and would have to turn up when I roll on the list of weekly magical items available.
Wand of Weapon of awe (2nd Level, CL 3rd) - 4500 gp
Necklace of fireballs (IV) - 5400 gp
Ring of grit mastery - 6840 gp
Nightmare boots - 8500 gp
Wand of Animal aspect, greater (3rd Level, CL 5th) - 11250 gp
Bodywrap of mighty strikes +3 - 27000 gp
Ring of protection +4 - 32000 gp
Rod of alertness - 85000 gp

PH would also like to purchase a halfling-sized mithral rapier for 520gp and a mithral buckler for 1005gp. And then ask Morvena to enchant them, once she's done with the plumbing in the Silver Raven's new HQ.
PH still wishes to acquire a handy haversack; this one, if no one claims it. Or a new one, if someone wants this one.
The little guy has a weight problem.

![]() |

I ninja'ed Pádraig here, but have updated my post with the other rolls.

Issil Tanessen |

Glammered Mithral Chain Shirt +1, here I come!
Oh wait, it's too expensive. Hmm. I'm pretty sure I need a +1 shirt before I can glamer it... sigh.
GM, can I get a Glamered Chain shirt +1 instead?

![]() |

So who wanted that headband of vast intelligence +2 (Escape Artist)? Victor? PH is ready to hand it over.
If we sold it and split the proceeds, would that give Issil enough coin to afford the glamored mithral shirt +1?

Roger Schmitt |

I wouldn't get too much value out of the headband with Escape Artist, just the +2 INT.
Since we never actually 'used' it, what are the chances I could set it to a skill of MY choice? :)

Issil Tanessen |

The problem isn't money, the problem is availability.
Mithral Shirt costs 1100.
It needs a +1 enchantment, that costs 1000.
Glamered enchantment costs 2700.
That's 4800 gp, which is 400gp beyond the 25% available limit. It would fall into the "rare" category.

Roger Schmitt |

Doh. Ya, and you could do glamered yourself if you were CL 10.. but you ain't.
Maybe enchant one up instead to +2?

![]() |

Since we never actually 'used' it, what are the chances I could set it to a skill of MY choice? :)
Sounds fair to me, go ahead!

Issil Tanessen |

I'll spend the 3 days enchanting Geoffrey's armor to +2.
I'll just buy a glamered chain shirt +1 now, then buy a mithral chain shirt when I'm level 10. If that's OK with you, GM?

Issil Tanessen |

Issil pays 250 + 1000 + 2700 = 3950 gp
Leaving her with 5487 - 3950 = 1537 remaining.
Unless someone wants this Chain Shirt +1, I'll sell it for 625 gold.
I'll have 5487 - 3950 + 625 = 2162 gold when this ends.

Geoffrey Piersym |

Geoffrey would like to borrow the Chain Shirt +1 while Issil is working on his Breastplate. He will return it once the three days have passed.

![]() |

So if Morvena or Issil were to use their craft magic arms and armor feat to enchant my mithral buckler or mithral rapier, how do I determine the cost to PH? (He's got 3345gp available.)
My brain's fried, so hopefully one of my knowledgeable fellow players or the GM can help me figure it out.

Roger Schmitt |

Assuming they don't charge you a fee, crafting magic items are half market value. So adding +1 to MW armor/shield costs 500g. +1 to a MW weapon costs 1k gold for example.

Issil Tanessen |

Crafting requires 2 things: Money for raw ingredients and time.
For each 1000 gp of the Purchase price, I need 500 gp of raw materials.
For each 1000 gp of the Purchase price, I need an 8-hour day to craft.
If you need to enhance from one wrung to the next, you pay the difference. So a +1 Chain Shirt to a +2 Chain Shirt has a Purchase cost of 3000 gp. So you provide 1500 gp and leave Issil alone for 3 days. If we were adventuring, Issil could do about 2 hours of work each day, so it would take 12 days if we had to travel a lot.
PS. Some materials take an additional fee. Cold Iron, for example, takes an extra 2000 gp when giving its first magical enhancement. You pay that once, when going from masterwork to +1.

![]() |

Thanks. I'll set aside 1500gp for crafting materials plus whatever my companions want to charge me for their time.
Please let me know when there's a good opportunity for this. No particular rush.

Morvena Sarini |

Morv isn't going to charge anyone any extra for crafting; just give her the cash/materials to cover what you want and she'll do the rest.
That said I think all the current crafting requests fall under the 'weapons, armor, shields' category which is Issil's wheelhouse and not Morv's. Now if you want things like boots, cloaks, headbands, Morv's got you covered :)

![]() |

Both the buckler and the rapier are made of mithral. Thanks, Issil.

![]() |

Should you agree to aid Hetamon, the other Silver Ravens officers (Rexus, Octavio, the tengu family and such) can begin moving to the new HQ in the meantime.

![]() |

I updated PH's stats on the Rebellion spreadsheet to reflect the CHA ability boost from his headband of alluring charisma +2.
Once per month, Hetamon can work with the Silver Ravens to generate a cache of healing supplies. However, you must have a team capable of taking the 'Secure Cache' action.
If necessary, PH would be able and happy to manage more teams, especially if their activities seem in line with his current duties as Sentinel.

Morvena Sarini |

Hey folks, I'll be heading out of town to DieCon19 and won't return until sometime late Sunday night/early Monday morning. I likely won't have a ton of free time for posting so please feel free to bot me as necessary :)

Issil Tanessen |

As a side note, tomorrow I will be going on vacation in Washington DC. The internet should be good but if I don't post regularly, you know why.

![]() |

Pausing to allow Issil and Morvena to also suggest questions, if they'd like to.

![]() |
3 people marked this as a favorite. |

Issil: "Where'd you hide all your jewelry?! Dibs!"

![]() |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |

Morvena: "This chatting with the deceased is entirely faux pas. I have not a word to ask this corpse. Do as you will."

![]() |

I've got a bunch of personal stuff going on today so I am neglecting my updates... Back on track tomorrow for games I'm GMing.

Morvena Sarini |

I'm back and rested and have spent the requisite time with loved ones who missed me (the weirdos) while I was away on my con adventure! Thank you for your patience :)

Roger Schmitt |

I'm imagining either a time clock or a checklist with 'DH' checked off and PBP now next and circled.

Morvena Sarini |

Always be sure to maintain proper care (the nature of this will vary from person to person) and feeding of your spouse, lest things get messy :)

Roger Schmitt |

Don't forget just the right amount of sunlight. Too much and they may burn.

Morvena Sarini |

If just Victor and Issil wanted to go and didn't plan to do anything too risky (hah) then Morv would've stayed behind at the Tooth & Nail or maybe returned to the Lucky Bones to start helping with the move.
However, if they or the rest of the group wanted to be somewhere in the general vicinity - maybe a block or two down the street - then she'd have no objection going and would probably have Pava trail them from the air.

Geoffrey Piersym |

While Geoffrey would not go with Victor and Issil, he also would not leave them on their own, and would heaartily endorse Morv's idea to hang around nearby with Pava keeping an eye on them.

Morvena Sarini |

Just checking in to say that I'm still here; no worries on maintaining a holding pattern while Pug and Issil do their recon :)

![]() |

By the way, Morv, is Pava also in the room with you at this point?

Morvena Sarini |

Hum....good question, because I never did specify either way once we all agreed to go upstairs. So...
1=Yes, 2=No
1d2 ⇒ 1
...yes, she's with us. Morv probably would've beckoned her back into the window of the Shellet apartment before going upstairs.
