The burros are not a lie, though they were not nearly as yummy as pancakes since they were just egg sausage and cheese...
Normally, I go all out on breakfast burritos, with mini tater tots, country gravy, ground sausage(sometimes chorizo or fresh fried bacon chopped), scrambled eggs and cheese. Salsa and fresh tomatoes available on request.
The lie will be coming soon in the game play thread, we were chatting about it last night on Roll20...

Schnorzel |

Water elementals can dispel magic fire.
Drench (Ex)
The elemental's touch puts out non-magical flames of Large size or smaller. The creature can dispel magical fire it touches as dispel magic (caster level equals elemental's HD).
works as dispel magic. so standard action to use and affects... Err...
Huh. Without a spell or obvious point of origin I'm a bit stuck as to where the fire dispel would work on the magic fire.
though I suppose that means I could summon more elementals and have a small chance of dispelling the wall of fire behind us (though the inferno of DOOM is likely out of my league)

GM Tacticslion |

You may try what you like.
I know they can quench magical fire. I'm allowing them to do that and move simultaneously (effectively causing it to affect a large area around them), but it's harming them (i.e. causing physical instability) to do so.
Since there is no other metric for how that is accomplished, I'm more or less applying fiat. :)
EDIT: Please do note that, by making it take on individual areas instead of the entire fire at once, I'm allowing it to affect the area at all. The implied caster level for the "whole effect" would be substantially above anything that any of you guys could come close to interacting with in a significant way. Instead, I'm treating it as a quasi-mundane fire and an automatic action for hp burn and maximum coverage. It's a fiat, but it's one entirely in your favor. This does have implications beyond the stairwell flames. Your choice, should you wish to pursue this course of action or kind of course of action further.

Schnorzel |

Ah, that makes more sense. I read your Fiat as a bit about not being able to affect magic fires at all.
I had been considering trying to summon an Ice elemental instead but they just deal cold damage so I figured sticking with water would get a better result.
I like your version as that makes water elementals actually useful for land based adventures rather than the ugly ducking of the elemental crowd. (in water combat its different but meh.)
Though that does mean I would need a truly magnificent number of elementals if I wanted to even try to affect the wall of fire or doom tornado we have going on behind us.
ONward and Downward then! though hopefully we escape wherever we end up before the flames above us pull all the oxygen from the caverns and suffocate us.
Plus it means the rest of the party has a way to help in this instance
Heal the elemental! it will soak us a safe path through the flames!

GM Tacticslion |

Communication: always a chance of failure. (In fact, I've found that no matter how much I try, there tends to be at least a 5% failure rate... waaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiit...)
Anyway, regardless of what you guys choose to do, I, for one, am really, really eager! Exciting stuff! (Yes, yes, I'm the GM, I know... but still!)

I was writing an "update" for Sunny, as I recognized that life was keeping her really busy.
After doing so, I realized that it might be nice to post that here, too.
I present...
-----
The very short version (slightly edited):
1) You fought the black knight. After not being able to do much, Shaedo dropped some sort of magical stuff on the undead knight, causing her to transform into a kitsune and then an undead fly, but making Shaedo really drunk. You were all able to harm the undead fly, and Father Husk swooped in at the last moment before the fly could unleash its greatest attacks. One of Father Husk's legs began burning (after having stepped into the stuff that was dumped on the dark knight), at which point the lot of you went unconscious.
2) You have a weird dream sequence where you're flying and falling, and finding a version of the Tor you're in made out of mirrors, and the mana storm, then, when you wander individually, exploring this dreamscape, and finding strange things. At the end of the dream, you had a revelation (you either leveled up to level three, or may retrain things for free and remain level three).
3) After this, you the room you'd previously fought Nuglet the black knight in, except now everything was on fire. There were two women fighting over Vitreous - one medium sized and color-changing, and another small sized and obsidian colored - who were, apparently, trying to save him. Each only had one arm. Into the inferno, Schnorzel, riding Horse, burst in with the other donkeys (and an unconscious Stone and Ooze). After the group put together a hasty plan (to "run away"), they started to do so down a set of spiral stairs that had previously been concealed in a dark gloom that was no longer present.
-----
Hope that helps!

The burros are not a lie
I'll have you know: the burros are most certainly not a lie at all! They're one of the most real things in this game! They-
...
...
... oh, you meant the burritos.
Nevermind. Carry on.

GM Tacticslion |

Sunny, I have a favor: please add spaces, if at all possible, to your character information text. Because it is not spaced, it creates a very weird situation with the display on the character sheet. If you would please add the spaces between each | and the information on either side of it, that would be great (even better would be between each word).
I know it's a pain, especially if you're on a mobile device, and I don't want you to spend too much time on it, but that would be most helpful. Thanks!

"Sunny" |

Hope me editing has helped! Posteded! (^_^)

Dijiron |

If anyone is wondering why the fire isn't waking me from my reverie, thanks to my school power, fire basically doesn't affect me unless it's a direct fire attack like fireball.
BTW I'm here and keeping up. I just don't think Dijiron has much to say about what's going on right now. He's still down with the escape plan. He'll have more to say about Schnorzel's arrival when things are calm again.

Schnorzel |

Hrmm... minor time travel might be needed to let this work as written.
That is if Schnorzel is permitted the chance to retrive some stuff.
Schnorzel would dismount/ grab bag/ loot and retreat. Then sunny's action would occur as she absconds with the beetle, still being the last person in the area.
Too bad Father husks place is on fire, that would have been an excellent place to loot.

Ceru |

Question about this Midori-Goblin. Is this the weird language we've heard others speak? Is it a different dialect? All I know is Midori is Japanese for green.
Ceru understand normal goblin and has been trying to translate the blue goblin gob-ob talk. Would she be able to understand and/or attempt to use Linguistics to translate if she doesn't automatically understand?

Movin |
Deleted a post from the gameplay which was my version of the same action Tac just described. I liked his better so I'm scrubbing mine.
Only real difference was that in mine I tried to keep the obsidian shinies in the bowl by placing them in the pack I got from the donkeys.
Archived here in case some of you saw it but did not get a chance to read it.
Schnorzel dismounts the spirit Horse retrieving the pack and moving into the room. Looking at the Throne and Altar currently engulfed in fire and the various items of worth in the blaze she thinks.
I hope this works out.. "Spirits I call for one of fire and earth to aid me!" The goblin looks in confusion as the calling fails to cause anything to happen.
Shrugging she moves to the obsidian fly bowl placing the backpack down next to it the largest portion wide open. She then picks up the bowl and pours a significant amount of the contents into the pack.
I would give much for another I had another set of hands for this though, ones not affected by this blaze. But such wishes will do nothing.
Schnorzel nearly drops the bowl when she starts sputtering more arcane words one of her partly winged ears flapping in surprise while trying to get the bowl under control.
The elemental looking at her for orders didn't help much but with a few more wobbles she gets hold of it again. But why.. no I don;t have time to ask this
the goblin clamps down on her confusion and speaks.
"Spirit please retrieve the objects from the throne and the altar, put them into the open pack."
the goblin says pointing to the desired places making grabbing and dropping motions toward the backpack. Using one hand and the top of her head to keep the bowl steady while she did.
------(if the elemental begins doing as asked) if not cue game of charades as she tries to explain with only 1 hand and her voice what she wants.
Seeing the elemental move Schnorzel takes the half full bowl and places it at the end of the altar with the burning orb.
With the container below it she grabs the spear she had taken from the spirits and uses it as an impromptu prod to topple the stone into the bowl.
This done she looks back to the elemental and starts grabbing anything else of value she can, stuffing it into the bag while the elemental does the same with the objects from the fire.
Hurry, hurry by fang and maw it is hot in here! on finishing the goblin points to the bowl looking at the elemental [b]"Spirit please pick that up, then follow me." [/B}
She shrugs on the pack full of loot and beats a hasty retreat the elemental hopefully holding the bowl and following.
EDIT: yes it all worked out well. Thanks

GM Tacticslion |

It is the same language. Ceru is starting to getthehang of it and, since levelling up, could definitly have learned enough to get the gist (a rank in linguistics).
EDIT: Well, let's call it an "amended" reality. I went back and was in the midst of making changes when it disappeared! Heh! :) Now that mie is the only post in gameplay, and at least one player has seen it other than you and me, I'll leave it as is.
Important note (because Scnorzel was trying to loot it): currently, there is a throne in mostly-good condition sitting near Sunny and Schnorzel. It is steaming, but not (currently) on fire. Well, not much. There's a little magma solidifying on the base.

GM Tacticslion |

Only real difference was that in mine I tried to keep the obsidian shinies in the bowl by placing them in the pack I got from the donkeys.
To clarify, you did manage to get most of them, in this (see the post for details). Although a lot of them spilled, a relative few are on the giant at present. (Yes, that does make a difference.)
Does she wait on the spirit, or does she command it and leave? Or does she command it and do something else?
The magma elemental... groans as it staggers a single! ponderous step towards Schnorzle, leaning, precariously, toward the corpse.
Weird typo due to iPad (it keeps changing my commas to exclamation points for some reason). The word "single" is not meant to be emphasized that way.
Schnorzel knows that burning the corpse is a bad idea so she wants to keep the elemental from landing on it. She is staying unless the Elemental ignites the corpse or the elemental turns hostile.
I'm kinda not seeing much she can do right now to prevent what is very obviously about to happen.
The corpse is already ignited (with magical stuff) regardless of the elemental in question. It's quite obvious. Does that change her course of action?
The elemental staggers toward you... but inherently gets closer to the corpse. It is also growing larger.
You commanded it to flee, but it has nowhere to go.
If she sees any sign of blue mist above or behind her, she would throw one of her two collected vials of green mist as a splash weapon on the steps behind her, in hopes of helping to counteract the blue.
GM, please let me know if she does.
Layla is the third-to-last one out of the room. On Scrappy's back, she can clearly see the blue haze in the room before she enters the doorway (the stairs are pretty thickly packed at present). There is blue flame that that covers the giant's body, and a ring of blue fire emitting from the magma elemental. It's fairly obvious that the elemental isn't doing anything on purpose except stepping towards you... but in a slow, staggered fashion. There is a line of blue energy connecting the elemental and the giant corpse.

Layla the Twin-Blade |

Layla would indeed smash her green mist vial down on the top steps behind her, in hopes of making a slight green mist haze at the entrance to this staircase, which any blue mist would need to pass through before entering this staircase.
At least, that's the hope. :)

GM Tacticslion |

Glad it helps!
I will continue with what you see after I get a last, actionable response from the remaining creature above the stairs, or, if they end up delaying too long for some reason, then I'll have to split the party or 'bot them. Either way, another (smaller) recap will be coming, soon. I have the next map ready - as ready as it can get, anyway. Unfortunately, this next set doesn't scale even as well as the previous set I was working with...
Oh, yeah, and in case you were wondering, the battle against Nuglet ended the first "adventure" that I spliced from two to create this one. Congratulations! You're (sort of) <more-than(?)> half-way(-ish)* through the first full adventure of Gob Smash One! If the mythic adventures continue beyond this next portion, it'll be up to you guys!
* It... it's a little bit complicated, and it heavily relies on what you, as a group, decide to do next.

Schnorzel |

Why is it my games always get activity when im at work? Hate typing on phones.
Anyway, I cant do a full post but I can say that if it is so obvious that the situation is about to kill us all schnorzel is going to begin fleeing at a furious rate unknown to men and only heard of as legend in some clans of lobsters. Much flailing and flapping to be had as the corpse expands in a killing wave of death and may or may not summon an outsider of aome variety.
Keep hold of the bowl and her sack full of shinies, tell the water elemental to grab the throne and get outa dodge.
If the magma elemental is expanding at a stupedous rate then I bet it could block the stairwell so we shall see what happens when it manages to reach us.

GM Tacticslion |

Also: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH~! Hooooooo~! Man*, have I been holding that in for a while.
* Yes, you shouldn't even have to ask: pun thoroughly intended.

Shaedo Silverpaws |

Alrighty, I am working on a post- trying to address all that has gone on in our little trip down the stairs. Might have to skip somethings, and just focus on one or two- due to the many- interesting revelations we've had. (Yihehehee!) ;)
As for Father Husk / Mama Rainbow... and Nugles....
Woooooow! Just woooooooooow! I had my suspicions, I just wish I had said something earlier! I mean, I didn't think a huge spider would just disappear... but- hehehe- this was all because of those obsidian rocks, wasn't it? (Tehehehe!) Or- at least partly?
*Mischievous foxy grin.*
(Hey, using your surroundings to your advantage works- though it can also result- in very unexpected things!)

Schnorzel |

You mean like the black rocks schnorzel is currently carrying?
Cuz she has some black rocks.
(Some of which are face to face with the glowing blue fire orb. I wonder what cursed magical obsidian gemstone popcorn tastes like. My guess is ironic death and some burning. )
Or the black rocks that scattered all over the giant which is likely about to become rapidly ignited courtesy of a rapidly expanding magma elemental spewing blue fire and smoke?
The corpse is on fire regardless but the elemental would burn All of it rather than the gems which are burning some of it.

Shaedo Silverpaws |

I was referring the obsidian stones formerly in the offering bowl Shaedo spilled over Nuglet in the earlier combat, which resulted in the invulnerable black knight, Nuglet, being transformed into a giant fly thing, and then a kitsune! Or maybe the other way around.
Husk also seemed later to be affected by accidentally stepping in them. All of this was before the elementals.
If Schnorzel is carrying those- then I hope she is carrying them in a bag or something- Shaedo did warn everyone about the danger of magical drunkeness, but I am not sure if Schnorzel is in the mind link yet, so to speak.
I lost track of what happened to the ones in the offering bowl since the dream- so I am not sure which ones are being used to immolate the golem and which Schnorzel is carrying- just- be wary of magical intoxication, transmutation or even reincarnation- in either case!

GM Tacticslion |

Vitreous looks like he got hit in the face with a poleaxe! He mutters,"My hair is white?"finally catching on to what Layla said earlier. He packs his broken bandoleer into his pack and with his new found strength shoulders his own pack so his gear is closer. He absently pets Snuffles the Donkey, as he continues with the group still with a lost and stunned expression.
Juuuuust ambiguous enough to leave me uncertain if you're pleased or repulsed by the latest developments. Darn gnomes! Darn them a pair of socks!

GM Tacticslion |

I wished to clarify something that was noted as being unclear:
Everyone successfully escapes the fiery room and, after passing through a slightly steam-filled spiral stairway (once on fire, before the elemental extinguished it) in order. The expected 'inevitable' explosion never comes. There is no flames spreading downwards and nothing chases you, from what you can tell. Within a (comparatively) short time, you don't even feel the direct heat any more.
This is what led up to this post. My apologies to any who were confused about this.
------------------------
The Short Version Recap
1) You woke to a room in flames
2) You met two women - seemingly fighting over Vitreous
(one argued for going downward, and one for staying in the flames)
3) The donkeys burst in (with Schnorzel riding one), and helped most everyone mount and exit
4) The stairway was on fire, but it was on less fire than either of the other two exits, and the room was collapsing, so you opted for that one
5) Schnorzel summoned a water elemental that put out the fire in the stairs
6) Sunny grabbed a beetle, Schnorzel summoned a maga elemental that acquired some pieces, and acquired a number of things from the table
7) Strange events occurred between the magma elemental and the giant corpse left in the room
8) The last of you managed to escape
9) The colorful woman revealed her identity and that of the obsidian woman - Father Husk and Nuglet, respectively; as it turns out, Husk (now called Mother Rainbow by Layla), opposes the Botfly, can still hear your mental-talk
10) The two revealed that, deep below, there was a ritual being performed to send two worlds into the power of the Botfly - a cruel deity that the Midori (the bizarre goblins) followed; the Midori are revealed to come from a world called Triddum - a world different from Golarion
------------------------
Hope that helps!
I will update again tomorrow, most likely with the next section beyond the stairs; I am delaying to allow everyone the chance to fully respond or ask questions.

GM Tacticslion |

Two things worth noting: one, I've purposefully delayed the update for the purpose of allowing some RP responses to text-dumps (something I've intended to say, but didn't, for a few days - sorry); two, the Air Conditioning has just broken in my Florida home, so I'm not going to be in it, especially with a vaguely on/off feverish little son - they won't be able to fix it until after two PM today, EST according to their estimates. My apologies.
