So, I just decided to rewatch Rise of the Guardians today. As we are introduced to the characters, it suddenly dawned on me how easy it is to assign each of them to our own party!

Santa: Kazimir

Tooth Fairy: Cyanne (Even has the same color)

Easter Bunny: Daen

Jack Frost: Luthor

Sand Man: Laliytsa (This one isnt as spot on but I still see it)

This has me all excited for some reason :)

I looked at the trailer, but I've never seen the movie. I'll reserve judgment of this idea until I do. Since it looks like a fun one, maybe I'll rent it and watch it with the kids.

I haven't seen that film. Maybe I should, now that I have far too much time on my hands. (I'm curious as to how Kaz is even remotely like Santa...)

If you do decide to make Akiros do a burlesque show, can you wait until Kaz comes back? Even though I'll be the one writing it, it'd be funny to see him squirm XD

If it happens, it will likely be Hmm-authored slash fiction in the OOC discussion thread. Cyanne would never do that to anyone. Dance is a divine gift, not a punishment.

I've been known to write PG-13 flash-slash to amuse my gaming groups in the past. Actually, the last time I did that, it was about you and Akiros...

I must admit, out of all my games, this is the one I've been checking first every day for about two weeks. It's intense, and I'm loving every minute of it. Hanging out for every new post!

This game is my favorite too. I'm now curious to see what happens with Akiros. And I want us to get back so Cyanne can collapse in a heap of grief and we can all hug Luthor. I'm glad we have a new quest ahead though -- burial escort.

Burial escort should be quick. Then downtime, unless you decide you want to go riding off after the Stag Lord first or go back to exploring the wilds.

Now, let's be fair, Laliytsa, you haven't actually seen him murder the innocent. Kazimir was in the heat of battle, and there's no proof of any others. Good assumption, though. Akiros=Not necessarily a nice guy.

I don't mind if you're reading my spoilers. I kind of guessed people were when I started seeing 'faves' on them. And if anyone reads the second-last one I put up, you'll know what Kaz would want to do regarding Akiros... that said, I understand that the party wants blood, and being 'between worlds' as it were, ol' Kazza doesn't have much of a say in things :P

I could totally see Daen being like "It'll be easier to cut Kazimir into 4ths so each horse can maintain a light load.", not really thinking about the social awkwardness that would produce.

It's been interesting watching everyone's individual paths to grief here. And how very appropriate that Luthor would feel that he's done with tears, only to be freshly dragged in again by a teammate who hasn't had a chance to grieve.

I had an emotionally draining day and I just....can't. I'll come up with something tomorrow. Lali's going to as Jhod about resurrection and then she'll try to be there for everyone else. She's going to be a shoulder for other people to cry on while she stamps down her own feelings because that's just who she is.

I don't think I'm going to do Automatic Bonus Progression. It's too much logistical work to go through the books and adjust the weapons and wealth to suit.

Yeah, it's half rounded up. d6=4 d8=5 etc.

I'm still trying to figure out where to go with my next level. I was considering a partial rebuild, but I think there was one big question that Aest was going to pitch to the party, as it would require a bit of rules-bending.

Cyanne, that song made me all sniffly. Piano Man is one of my favourites. That was beautifully-written.

I'll explain real quick. Kazimir seemed to like the idea of coming back as a Chosen One paladin, and it fits his backstory really well. However, Chosen One trades out the mount class feature for a familiar. He was going to take a couple of levels (one or two) in Emissary cavalier for one of the mount feats, but that gives him a mount that doesn't scale. What I wanted to do was sort of smash the mount and the familiar into one animal to get around that, but it's not RAW legal. It'd probably lose some of its familiar features to compensate, but I'd have to look at both creatures to make sure it happened without being too ridiculous.

The question is: Would you be okay with smashing the familiar and mount features into one?
