Yeah, in my head I had it laid out like ive gotten used to seeing such things in movies, like when Gandalf fell with the Balrog and such. Receiving Cyannes Message just didnt match with what I wanted to do.

I got my laptop back. That's the good news.
The bad news is that the hard drive was shot, which was why none of my fixes really worked. The warranty covered it, but, well, a harrd drive replacement is a lot of Pathfinder stuff missing. This game shouldn't be hit too hard, since I did most of it on GoogleDocs before I got MS Word, but it's still a problem.
May post later today. We'll see. For sure tomorrow, though.
I'm glad that your computer back, but sorry that you lost data.

Eh. It is what it is. The computer was unusable as it was, so this is really better in the long run. In the short term, I'm going to struggle until I can get to a place with good internet tomorrow and start rebuilding.

Kaz, I just had a horrible thought. I was thinking of how you might come back and... well... What if you were reincarnated into a dwarf?
It happened to this sorcerer I played with in RotRL and he was the prettiest dwarf there ever was! I'm pretty sure you could best him in a walk off though. He was kinda awkward at times.
Edit: Now I have crossdressing dwarfs on the runway in my mind. It's a scary place.
That is a scary thought... Kaz would make a terrible dwarf!

My eyes are dilated, so no real post. I'm getting glasses for the first time. It's so weird to wear them, but I found cute purple frames to go with my purple hair. So at least I'll be fashionable.
For feats, I'm thinking of Weapon Finesse. Without Kaz for a bit, I'll need to step up in melee.

Purple hair is awesome. I've got a nice plummy shade myself, with blond streaks through the fringe :D
I've been in glasses myself for three years now... and braces for sixteen months -__- I hate it, it makes me feel like one of those nerd stereotypes.
I had red hair once. Then it turned orange.
I'm usually blonde, dirty in the winter and light in the summer. One time I had it long enough to have it in about 50 tiny braids, but usually it's just a little bit long.
Glasses for, um, 13 years. I think it's been that long. They're a part of me now.
EDIT: Good news about replacing my hard drive is that Inkscape should work again. Maps will be good again.

That's kind of an old picture though. The purple is now a smaller stripe / highlight. And I'm a few years older! Let me see if I can get the selfie I took with the glasses uploaded somewhere where you guys can see it.

There has been literally zero information presented in all our interactions that could ever actually allow me to have any idea of what you might look like, yet for some reason my reaction to this image was "Not what I would have expected."
Is there a word for this? Its weirding me out.
Also, since we are doing this, ill try to dig up a picture that isnt too embarrassing.
It's because even though I haven't ever said what I look like, my posting tends to be (I think) pretty serious in general. That picture was taken at a very, very candid moment, and I may have been drinking a bit as well, so it doesn't reflect the personality I usually have, which is serious, rational, and a bit dour.
Also, grandma said "Smile."
It's so nice to see your face, Aest! There's nothing wrong with smiling, though that smile was a little goofy!
Luthor, everyone compliments me on the purple. It's dark, and goes really well with my dark hair. It was something wacky that I did to celebrate turning 42, and that everyone loved. Even my coworkers at the library liked it.

BTW, sorry for all the small discussion posts with nothing in gameplay. We're cleaning my son's room today.
We found socks everywhere. There were seven pairs of socks in his bookshelves. I think I know now why the cats keep stealing Duncan's smart wool socks and drag them through the house. They're trying to save him from suffocating in socks.

Well, this is embarrassing...Ive actually managed to associate you so much with your character, I flat out forgot you arent a he. Imagine my surprise when I clicked the images and just sat there for a moment with an idiotic blank stare, trying to connect the dots.
Im honestly a bit disappointed in myself right now.
About the socks...in the bookshelves? You manage to get out of him why he would put them there? I cant think of any scenario where "I know, ill put them in the bookshelves" is the obvious conclusion.
As for my sock situation, mine dont go missing, they just die in the line of duty, full of holes.
Sorry for laughing at your confusion. You're not the first, though, if that makes you feel better. I have more prominent male PCs than female ones, and I go by Ronnie rather than Veronica, so with the big separation of a messageboard, people sometimes forget. I've learned to deal with it. It's actually funny how different Kaz and I are, which could be why I enjoy playing him so much. Though I guess we have similar taste in men, so there's that.

And I don't know, bookshelves are a good place for many things. I'm surprised at the things I've found in mine.

There's a place out here called Medieval Times. They do a big 'jousting' show, it's kind of like the Ren Faire only more expensive lol. When my friend got her doctorate she picked it as her celebration dinner.

I have the opposite problem with bookshelves. Mine need to be repaired so right now all my books are in the hall cupboards and drawers.

That's funny, Kaz. Before this one (the one I linked is my Facebook profile), I'd had the same picture for like three or four years. It had my hair down in my face so you couldn't see it and me in a black corduroy sport coat. I miss that sport coat...

We've all been there. I mean, I want movement, because I spent longer than I should have on my last gameplay post, but look after yourself.
Dark brown hair, was lighter when I was younger. Dyed it red once, then it dyed my pillowcase. I prefer a military cut, since that's what I grew up with. My wife likes it long, but I compromise with a goatee.
Glasses for almost exactly 30 years. My oldest daughter just got glasses last year, purple frames. She also got a hamster. Kids are like that.
Glad for the good news on the map front.
Are we going to be doing Automatic Bonus Progression? I'm really okay either way. It would just be useful to know going forward to third level.
