Regarding Kaz/Luthor, I don't know. I've noticed that Luthor's definitely been a bit touchy-feely towards Kaz (hand on the knee, hand on the shoulder, grabbing his hand to try what he's drinking) but I've seen that as more part of his character than anything else. He probably doesn't even realize he's making Kaz a bit flustered and confused. And for his part, Kaz is way deep in the closet, and has no intention of coming out soon if he can help it. For one thing, he sees it as something wrong with him - he simply doesn't know that heterosexuality is just one orientation, and that there are others. For another, part of me wants to save the reveal for a time where it will cause the biggest and most exciting ripples ;-)
All that said, it's entirely possible that he's starting to crush on Luthor. He's a breath of fresh air, different to the kind of people he's used to, and he really doesn't mind all the touching and smiles. He's just not likely to act on it either, because he wouldn't want to out himself or ruin a friendship over it.
Though Cyanne might pick up on subtleties in the way he talks to him, or perceptive PCs might catch his gaze lingering. He's that damn awkward he's bound to slip up sooner or later.

That flex time was longer than I thought it would be. I went to write a scene and ended up with something I had to cut down before it became a small novel.
I love that this group and this game make me want to push to be a better writer. I love Laliytsa and how she's like the living embodiment of Practicality but also complex on the inside. I don't think I'd have her even half as fleshed out in another game. You guys keep pushing me to be better :D

I'm somehow amused that Cyanne's been the least introspective on the long ride... I'm also amused at Lali trying to get more weight on the girl. Maybe I'll have to flextime a long introspective piece at some point too, but what Cyanne feels has largely been spoken out loud, except for the fear that Daen will decide to drop her, not because he doesn't care about her, but because his ambition and sense of duty will talk him out of following his heart.
She is worried as hell about Kaz and Luthor, though. Idealistically, she's with them. But she's now ready to kill bandits if it means saving the lives of others. She'd rather redeem people though. It's what her goddess is all about... redemption. The music and art are what Shelyn does, but redemption is what Shelyn is. How else do you make the world more beautiful for everyone?
I'm having a bit of trouble moving the characters on the map. When I take them into the new territory, they seem to disappear. Does anyone know how to fix that? I'm pretty terrible when it comes to these kinds of things.
Which direction are you wanting us to come from? You said the East, but we're already coming from there (judging by the big N on the right side of the map.)

I feel like such a matchmaker. I also have come to the conclusion that with both Luthor and Cyanne being so touchy-feely, that Aron and Lirpeth must be the most huggable elves in Restov. After all, they raised both Cyanne and Luthor. We must have learned that hugging from somewhere.

We are approaching from the bottom, or the East. The same direction as the battering ram and the front gate.
But also from the east is supposed to be a ladder and some guys. I see some guys approaching from the South, I also see what may be a ladder on the North.
Can you help us figure out what is where?
I now see Cyanne picking up on all the subtle cues and aggressively trying to get the two together. She's a Shelynite, it's her damned duty to do this. ;-) Disclaimer: I am slightly tipsy and have been aggressively shipping since my break-up. This may or may not be a good idea is absolutely a bad idea.

Is this in relation to me as a player or LUthor as a character. If the former, I like to think you dont have to tip toe around me. I cant remember the last time roleplaying interactions made me offended of uncomfortable (not sure it ever did), and ive "seen some sht" on that front, so no worries.
If its the latter, short of actual straightforward declarations of love/interest from Kaz, I dont see it being possible. Hes a touchy feely guy after all.
In terms of making anyone uncomfortable at all, or completely botching what I was hoping to be a good bit of RP. Good to know I haven't made you uncomfortable, though.
I'm a bit less shy about making other characters uncomfortable, but as you pointed out, Luthor's a pretty hands-on guy. I don't expect that to have meant anything to him beyond "hey bro, just letting you know I'm here to chat"; Kaz is just clueless and over thinking things.

GM ruling time: can obscuring mist be carried on a familiar? They can take personal spells...

Um, I'm not sure. I feel like there's something horribly nasty that could be used with a familiar as the center if I allow this. Yes for Obscuring Mist, but I'll have to think about each spell on a case-by-case basis.
As for the opportunities for romance and whatnot, Kazimir (and possibly Luthor, since no one's sure of his sexual identity yet) have some hard choices to make in that regard. Actually, everyone (except maybe Laliytsa, who has no current commitments and a 'typical' sexuality) has some hard choices coming up in that regard. Just be aware.
Spells that are Personal are balanced around familiars I think. That being said, Obscuring Mist isnt Personal, it just has a range which emanates from the caster.
Even assuming it was personal, since the fog doesnt move with you after the initial cast, Luthor would have to be right next to Rikka anyway.
So we cannot do the ranged Obscuring Mist option. Alright, if we use it, we need to time it carefully with archers on the edge of the mist so we have concealment and they don't.
Aest, dealing with Daen is already a romantically challenging choice... Or are you referring to having to do arranged marriages for political reasons?
With his luck, Daen will end up marrying Buvorarenlytiramest for political reasons.

I've definitely been a bit worse on it since my break-up. Before, it was like, "Hey, if something makes sense for the story, I'll go for it". Now, it's more like "Fear not, my imaginary peoples! I won't let you be alone and unloved!"

Nope. We're pretty chill until Christmas now. Since we don't have a Thanksgiving or anything, around late October, all the Christmas decorations go up, shops have displays, carols playing...
It's quite annoying, actually. There's only two Christmas carols I rather like* and neither of them get played. Plus, a**!$+&s like to drag up the whole "durr hurr we can't say merry Christmas cos it's politically incorrect but I'm gonna make a big deal out of it and how Australia is CHRISTIAN and its all about CHRISTMAS and those bloody immigrants should DEAL WITH IT...

The best part about the Christmas Truce of WWI is that the next year, no one was foolish enough to think that was a good idea anymore. Also, by that point, no-man's-land was far too cratered and covered with barbed wire for futbal/soccer.
They don't wait for Thanksgiving anymore here either, which is sad. One of our local radio stations started playing Christmas Carols exclusively one week BEFORE Halloween. And none of the good ole Christmas Carols either, it's Jingle Bells, Winter Wonderland and Santa Baby. I'd be happy if they just played PTX and TSO for Christmas, but you get very little of either.
I'm kinda waiting on Lu and La, as I'm supposed to go after them. I also got slammed this weekend as well. We got a bunch of snow and some free tickets to a big choir concert and a sick wife and kid and about half a dozen other things as well. I'm ready to go now that I can spend some time in the office. Carving out ten minutes to do a combat post won't be hard until Thursday for me.

Heya! I'll be spotty to nonexistant until Monday. I'm going to my grandmother's, and also my computer is acting up.
So, it's coming into summer here in South Australia, and that means it's fire season. We've had several Catastrophic danger levels this month. (The scale is Low - Moderate - High - Very High - Severe - Extreme - Catastrophic, because Australia does not f### around.)
Today, we had a fire start out near my place of employment, which is in a rural area. Even though the wind was blowing away from us, we evacuated the whole site just to play it safe. And because it's a primary school, that resulted in 350 terrified kids and stressed teachers being kept indoors and taking drink and toilet breaks in pairs, while every member of leadership and support staff rang the parents of every child to evacuate them. I'm home now, and all the main roads near me have been closed off. I'm safe, but shaken, and it's made me realize that there may well come a time when I'm affected by a fire and won't be able to get online and let everyone know. If that happens, I'll try to get a real-life friend with a Paizo account to spread the word.
Damn, feels like every other bit of news I ever hear from Australia is about huge fires. Stay safe.
