The final player is in the final combat of a scenario so should just be a tiny bit longer. Then we will kick this off.

Sounds good! My adventure just ended, we've rolled Dayjobs but I'm waiting for a chronicle sheet.

Just a quick heads up. I'll be on business travel from April 19 - May 2. I expect to be able to post from my phone, but will not have access to a full computer (or if I'm the DM, the adventure.)

My current goal is to post 1/Day, though at GMT +1 it could be at odd hours. By all means, bot me if needed.

If this is a Windy Fellowship Lodge Game, I'll be on Slack, but likely only reading.

I've run this scenario before, and it shouldn't impact my playing. It works out that I'd take a back seat to the early decisions. I'll still post, but the prose won't be as engrossing until I return.

Though let's get a little information out of the way first pertaining to this scenario while we wait.

I played claim to salvation with a different character. No first mandate.

None of these for Ash (played and GM Claim to Salvation with another character)

My apologies, as I'm in First Mandate with this character. I have played Salvation's End with another character.

Neither. Wondering if I should opt out of this scenario now until I play the other 2, since we haven’t began yet...

Salvation's end might be one of those where only the PLAYER need have the boon, not the specific character. Could be worth checking GM.

Correct Eevee. You just have to have been the player for Claim to Salvation and not have the boon tied directly to the character.

No you do not have to have played it. The scenario just gives a small reward if you had is all.

OK, after doing a little digging as to exactly what a Promotional Boon and a Faction Boon are, I'm looking to slot boons for these too, if it's OK? Let me know if I'm correct in my interpretations, as this is new to me:

You have brought an accessory that displays your visible support to Paizo's organized play program. This grants you the ability to reduce the Resolve Point cost for a Stamina rest or to improve a starship-related skill check.

Prerequisites: Bring and display a Starfinder Player Character Folio to the game.

Benefit: You can use this boon, once per session, in one of two ways. The first option is to reduce the Resolve Point cost of resting to regain Stamina by 1 (down to 0 RP). The second option is to reduce the DC of any single starship combat check (including a gunnery check) by 4; this decision must be made before making the check.

I do have a Folio, so I can slot this as a Promotional Boon? One of these days I'm going to get a pin...

As for Faction Boons, it appears I have the following Reputation totals:
Acquisitives - 17
2nd Seeker (LE) - 1
Exo-Guardians - 1
Wayfinders - 1
Dataphiles - 1

The total is 21, which puts me at Tier 2. So does this mean I can slot any boon from any of those listed factions above (as well as the all-factions boons) of Tier 2 or less? For instance, I could choose Known Quality from Acquisitives or Backup Info Check from Dataphiles - even though my rep in Acquisitives is much higher than Dataphiles, since that's my personal faction?

Second part of this question is that the 'Cost' of a boon is drawn from my Fame pool (not my Reputation), which appears to be similar to Prestige Points in PFS gameplay. But I don't have to pay the cost unless I actually use the boon I slotted for use?

And final part of that question, is I can only slot one Faction boon total, correct? Not one boon from each faction I am eligible to choose from (i.e. one from Acquisitives, one from Dataphiles, one from Wayfinders, etc.)

Thanks, I've been putting off learning about these boons for awhile now, but now I've got some time to figure them out with tax season over and done. :)

So to begin, when you create a character you automatically receive 1 Faction Champion Boon for (Free). It looks like you had chosen Dataphiles. Throughout play you can receive bonus reputation with other factions but you do not own their Champion Boon yet.

So you are only Tier 2 for Dataphiles and Faction Boons that are listed All-Faction Boons. But you need to purchase them before you can use them with Fame.

The Fame does act as prestige for purposes of purchasing. So before you can earn reputation with other factions outside of bonus reputation you must first purchase that Factions Champion Boon for 2 Fame

You can only slot one of each boon, except for the Slotless Boon slot, which is unlimited.

Thanks, that does help! I'll slot that Faction boon tonight after looking over my choices, will also slot the Promotional Boon: Record Keeper. That's the only one I've got available at the moment.

OK, I think I've got a handle on this faction stuff, though I do have one question.

So when I created this character, I originally chose the Wayfinders, but switched to Acquisitives before turning 2nd level, because that faction fit this character more. Which is indicated correctly on my character profile, after double checking.

Now, I can use 2 fame to purchase a Champion Boon in another faction, correct? Could I conceivably (though I wouldn't want to) purchase 2 fame for every faction out there? Or am I limited to a certain number of Champion boons or something? I think after The First Mandate I probably wouldn't mind taking a Champion boon in 2nd Seeker as well, if it's allowed for a character to purchase Champion boons in two separate factions? If so, I'll purchase a Champion boon for Second Seekers (2 Fame) and slot that one as my faction boon. I also revised my slotted boons a bit, based on another fame purchase in Acquisitives.

Yes, you can purchase Champion Boons for all 5 but have to choose which one you are using for each scenario.

I rolled for Dayjob on the Gameplay tab and i rolled a 25

Ack! Sorry for the delay GM, of course the game ended on the day I flew out of town and was away from my computer for a few days! Day Job rolled (and I think I applied that slotted boon correctly?) Cruddy roll, but with the boon I think it's a 36, so not too shabby.

Was a lot of fun playing with you all. I tend to favor pbp gaming, so hopefully will see you again sometime! :)
