Sorry absense, was dealing with our only warehouse worker getting fired at work (he deserved it) then got the news of the death of a close family friend. I should hopefully catch up tonight.

Sorry to hear Pia.
Our characters have been trying to find homes for the orphans and fighting monsters mainly but lots interesting details.

Thorfinn Wyrmblod |

Hey guys, good news/bad news time. I recently joined the Army, and will be leaving for basic training in two weeks. From 09/19, I won't have internet for, at a minimum, 10 weeks (after Basic, I got to training in my specific job, which is another 16 weeks. I think I'll have internet access at that time, but I'm not 100% certain). While I'd be happy to just go on hiatus for a while and then pop back up later, if you'd rather drop me and find a replacement, I fully understand.

Algund Neithan |

Seems like it's feasible to let you drop for 10 weeks and then come back. Thorfinn's a member of a larger organization so he could easily get called away on business and then drop back in later.
Also good luck in the army, I can absolutely see the appeal.

Gadren |

Well hopefully you'll find it a rewarding experience and wont get caught out being asked to do something like get head light fluid.

Thorfinn Wyrmblod |

Congratulations Thorfinn. Good luck, I enjoyed my time in the military.
Whatever you do, make sure you keep laughing.
What mos are you going for?
15T, UH-60 Repair (I'm given to understand the duties include not just repair, but also aircrew, door gunner, pretty much everything but pilot)

GM Teleute |

I'll have you go on hiatus for now, and we can see about getting you back in if/when the opportunity presents itself. Good luck with your job.

ZetaGilgamesh |

Enjoy! I hope you get enough flight time to sate your interest. Heli repair sounds like it could be pretty lucrative later on too. I know that the oil companies use a lot of helos for lift out to the rigs. So there will likely be jobs on the back end if you enjoy yourself.
Also, once you are though basic, you will have time to play. So I know I look forward to hearing from you!

Rebecca Mavern |

Hey guys and gals.
So posting this in all my games. My job is sending me south (closer to the path of the hurricane) for additional training, so I might not have internet for a few days, depending.
I will post as I am able, but that might not be all that much (even after the hurricane) as I have been told to expect longish hours. Feel free to bot me as needed. I should be there for about three weeks, give or take.
Regards!
P.S. Congrats Thor! Just roll with the punches in basic and you will do fine (remember, don't take sh*t personally... their job is to break down a bunch of individuals so that they can build up a bunch of soldiers). I am sure the game will be waiting for you upon your return.

GM Teleute |

Checking in with everyone, how are we doing? I was waiting for input from more players in the current situation, but it's been several days since the last posting. Everyone still up for the game?

Gadren |

Gadren is outside but if a fight breaks out he'll be moving in to support. He doesn't know the finer points and wouldn't be alright with standing idly by while a guard is killed for sport.

Cataria Ghita |

Poor Cataria is still here...my work schedule has had me working like 16 hour days for a little over a month. All will be well in about 2 weeks, as we have a whole slew of new people up and running on 10/9.

GM Teleute |

Loading doors of that type are usually locked and barred from inside, for exactly that reason. Alcohol is expensive, after all :)

Algund Neithan |

I wasn't completely sure how visible she was, and Algund was in a state where he could easily overlook her.
In other news, it's time for fall break. One of the things that means is that I'll be posting a lot for the next ~10 days.

Pia Verlaine |

All, I am sorry for my disappearance without notice. Life sometimes just sucks. Last few weeks have been chained events of stress and heartache. After the death of a close family friend, car accident and ER trip for my future roommates, trying to clean/pack and sell my house to move in with said future roommates, and health problems of my own, any remote freetime I have had is spent trying to make it to work so I can pay for all of the above.
The next two days I have people over helping me clean/pack and do a few repairs, if you can excuse me a few more days, I hope to be able to post again by end of the week.

GM Teleute |

Hope you're okay Pia, take care of yourself. You can get caught up when you get things in order again. I hope to see Rebecca posting again soon as well.

Cataria Ghita |

My goodness, Pia. That all sounds awful. I'm sorry you're dealing with even a fraction of that. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that you're welcome whenever you're well enough to return, no matter how long you need.

GM Teleute |

@Gadren Yes, you can memorize new spells, you've had time for a full rest.

Hey all,
I am- <corrupted code> -ery sorry that this took so long to get out.
Good news first: I am alive and very much kicking. My training at- <corrupted code> -is completed,
and I have somewhat more reliable internet connection.
Bad news: My job has sent me abroad, and as such my work hours have increased. Worse, my internet is not
as reliable as it was stateside. This is not to say that I cannot resume play again (assuming there is a
spot for me still... I know I was gone for a bit, and if I have been replaced I understand) just to say
that I might be only able to post once or twice a day.
At- <corrupted code> -ny rate, glad to be somewhat back and hoping that y'all are doing well!
Regards,
The Emerald Duke
End Transmission.

Seems like it's up to the GM to work you in. I'd advocate for that since you posted regularly.
*Posting to all my games*
Hey all, I don't know what you do with your free time, but one of the things you might do is use youtube. Youtube is a great site full of lots of awesome communities and good informational content.
When I say this, I think in particular of a set of youtubers who discuss military history, use of weapons, HEMA, and related topics. There are a number of great channels run by interesting and knowledgeable people which have taught me a lot and made my life more interesting. Today, one of those youtubers had their channel shut down without warning because of a years-old video about japanese firepots. Apparently it was misinterpreted as some sort of instructional video for terrorists.
If you're at all interested in weapons, history, or the free flow of information, please sign this petition. Here's a video by another youtuber on the topic.
Thanks.

GM Teleute |

Hey emerald duke, feel free to get caught up and jump back in when you can. I don't really expect people to post more than 1-2 times a day anyway.
That said, do you guys know how you wanna play things out yet at the butchershop? Ball's in your court. :)

Algund Neithan |

As far as I can tell, we're just waiting for the GM to post the results of us walking around the neighborhood and looking for good spots to ambush people.
Correct?

GM Teleute |

Essen Spiel is going on at the moment, which is taking up a lot of my time. I'll get a new post up in the game as soon as I can.

Corwin Avelard |

Hey guys, I'm back-ish. I had an old injury flare up on me during training and I'm getting medically discharged. I should be back to posting as early as tomorrow or Wednesday. Right now I'm in an airport posting from my phone.
Dang dude. That sucks, I am sorry.

GM Teleute |

Right, I have been very reluctant creating this post, but I suppose I cannot put it off any longer. I feel the game has been dying off for the past two months, and I can't bring up the energy to keep it going with only about two people posting regularly.
I know at least one player has contacted me in the past few months to let me know they're dropping out for personal reasons, and it seems there are other people as well where real life has caught up with them.
I'm not wanting to blame anyone, as I know I myself could have put more regularity in my postings. So my apologies to everyone if they feel they have wasted time, and I wish everyone awesome games in their future!

Gadren |

It's a shame, I had hopes to see how the party progressed and developed but real life happens.
Hopefully I'll get to play with you guys in other games.

Corwin Avelard |

Real life does raise its head from time to time. I still had fun with everyone while it lasted.
