No worries, man. We all make mistakes.
And ret-cons are fun!

Mr.K and Noble should have their Chronicles. I'll get this reported once I get Hawthorne's and Gina's info.
I want to say I apologize. I am well aware that my performance as the GM was sub par. I understand that I did not give you guys any sort of a challenge and if that took away from your enjoyment, I am sincerely sorry. I am not in the least bit satisfied with my running of this and it shows me how much further I need to go. I blame primarily two things. RL got busy during the duration, but more importantly, I do not yet have a character in this level range and was woefully under prepared and unfamiliar with the builds to offer any sort of challenge.
I hope this doesn't dissuade you from having me run something for you in the future.
Thanks-

Oh, don't think that way. I think the mod is just generally underwhelming. It's a season 1 which is hit or miss in terms of challenge. I asked Feral if he remembered the mod at all, and he didn't because it was that unmemorable so I don't think it's your fault. You are one of the better judges here on the boards and in general. Don't beat yourself up.
And in all fairness, wizards happened.

I appreciate that obligatory response. ;) Of course, I'm my biggest critic. I've asked for criticism from those who have been in my games before and this goes to Hawthorne and Gina, please feel free to give me any critiques or thoughts. I am striving to be a grade A GM. Grade B player..I'll accept for myself, but I enjoy running. I know I tend to be a forgiving GM. I route for the players, not against them. Anyway, just wanted to put the above post out there so you knew where I stood.

Understandable, but like I said, I think the mod is just underwhelming. If you want to feel better about your judging I suppose we could have you run the season 4 finale on HARD MODE!!
No but seriously, you're a good judge and I do understand the whole 'own worst enemy' deal.

I'm not quite sure which boons on the chronicle sheet are appropriate btw.
I always drive myself nuts after GMing about all the little things I could have done better.
I'm going to moving back from Berkeley to Iowa for the fall the week aftter GenCon, but after that I'm happy to run something.

Well, boon 1 says Jay likes you.
Boon 2 says Jay doesn't like you.
Boon 3 gives you a penalty for letting some assassins escape.
Boon 4 gives you a bonus for not letting any assassins escape.
1&2 seem exclusive from each other, as do 3&4

There are supposed to be red lines through Boons 2 & 3. Is any of the Chronicle filled out other than stuff with my handwriting? I've had that issue before. When I click the link I gave you, everything comes up filled out. Let me know. Last time, I ended up converting it to a bitmap and sending it to a player through Google Drive.

3601-02. No day job.
You're much harder on yourself than necessary, Tektite. I think you did well, including the ret-con which you handled fine, in my estimation.
Accept the fact that you're going to make mistakes. As long as you don't repeat the same ones, you're making progress. In some ways that's why I like running scenarios more than once; my first time doing Mists of Mwangi I screwed things up pretty well with the template and the tiki idol...and let's face it, it's tough to have a more basic scenario than MoM. LOL
One of the most important things is, when you make a mistake, acknowledge that you did and what you think you can do to correct it. You did that. As such, I have absolutely no complaints.
Best you can do is be as prepared as possible. In this case the foes didn't seem particularly tough; is that because Gina's wizard eye spell eliminated opportunity for surprise (which is an assassin's bread and butter, after all)? Kudos to the player for being well prepared, you know?
JMSO, it's a contest between players and GMs, but not a competition; there's a difference. :-)
