What is the holiday?

GM Nowruz |

The holiday is Fronleichnam / Corpus Christi.
I am traveling with the family at the moment and cannot post until Monday. Just for your information!
I had hoped to be able to post today but it did not work out due to RL commitments.
Sorry for the delay but next week everything is back to normal! :-)
I hope you have a great weekend!

I thought Corpus was in a few weeks, yesterday Asencion, next Sunday Pentecost, then Trinity Sunday and then Corpus Christi.

I had a graduation reception to go to last night and then I taught in the morning. Came home to take a nap and I am catching up now.

GM I'm going to point out that if this is a summoned swarm it has been hanging around combat far too long...the trog has not held concentration but instead attacked or cast a spell every round that swarm has been up...normally a swarm is summoned and can stay in play two rounds after if the caster chooses not to concentrate...your trog has fought for 4 rounds at least while not concentrating...unless he has the 'extend spell' meta magic feat...I feel you are letting this swarm stay in combat too long...Swarms are very difficult for 1st level party's as is...it really doesn't need any help..thx.. HERE is a link to the summon swarm spell.

Swarms are mean at any level :)

![]() |

round 1 trog cast summon swarm (full round action)
round 2 summon swarm comes in to effect..trog cast produce flame and attacks..summon swarm attack Llovra..
round 3..summon swarm attacks russo and the bard trog attacks with produce flame for 2nd time
round 4 summon swarmed attacks rumple trog attacks produce flame again...then swarm should disappear...
Round 5 trog is doing what?
Llovra shouldn't have to take damage the swarm shouldn't be there..and how may produce flames does the trog get?

![]() |

Duration 1 min./level (D) Produce Flame

GM Nowruz |

Hi LLorva, thank you very much for pointing that out!
So I believed that the swarm would have two rounds which included an action in round 4 where you were attacked. But to be honest I would rather see it be gone in round 4! ;-)
So let us decide that it had one round in round 2 and one round in round 3.
The produce flame spell gives Tasskar three flames to throw as he is third level.
Is that ok?

Llorva, I see that you have some jedi-ish SFS characters in your profile, I laughed at the android's name. Have you built them? If so could I peek?
PS We are still fighting in the PRE-GEN CORE scenario that your cleric left :)

Hooray, one more week of school. We will be done next Wed.

Of the two Star wars themed characters Shaak Ti isn't built yet. Padme' however, just turned 2nd level (just finished Solar Sorte with her) I haven't even bothered to level her yet. I'm afraid all my Starfinder experience comes from PbP unfortunately...I've only played 7 games total ..but a couple of them have been extremely fun. (Highly recommend you play yesteryear's truth before you GM it...it's a great story in the Star Trek tradition and I was blessed with a very solid and engaged GM on that one.
Other than that, I believe The commencement to be a solid intro into Starfinder and I believe it has some re-play-ability (as it should). The other scenario I enjoyed was Cries from the Drift. But, I must admit this one suffered from being PBP...it would have been a lot better(for me), to have been played live, as the thematic space horror genre, it was meant to emulate.
So for Starfinder I'm kind 50/50 on it right now...not having the time to play everything I want to has more than a little to do with that. I actually cancelled my Starfinder subscription for a while along with my adventure Path subscription...
I've come to the realization that, I have more gaming material to play with...than I'll ever have time to play. Heck I haven't even read through my last three adventure Paths on the off chance I'll get to play them someday. So Ruins of Azlant, Iron Fang Invasion, and War for the Crown materials just sit on my bookshelf and collect dust.
I spent over 2 years and went through 9 players just to have a TPK at the end of book 3 in my Giant Slayer campaign.. Luckily the team died fairly heroically trying to rescue their fallen comrades and they died to a significant end boss type. So it wasn't a totally bitter pill..
Having said all that, I doubt I'll run an AP ever again unless it's long time friends that I'm playing with...too much player change over, too many personalities to coddle...and too many comprises to make. I think after this summer, I'm going to fully embrace the VTT revolution. Any future APs I run or play in will be virtual...(sigh...thousands and I mean thousands of dollars of miniatures will now go to waste in my garage bins because I just don't have the heart to sell them)
Don't know why I went on this rant ..but, thanks for suffering it anyway. It's the cruel irony of the Role-Playing game world...when you finally have the money to get whatever you want....you've already run out of time to play them.....

GM Nowruz |

You did really great team! Thanks Llorva for your guidance! ;-)
Now that you have Belanar and have overcome the leader of the troglodytes you have accomplished your main mission.
There is only one area of importance that you have not looked at and that is on the second level.
Would you like to do that?

mission accomplished I saw we leave

![]() |

I’m good with just rescuing the prisoner and leaving that was our mission after all...

![]() |

Fuzzzy wants to finish exploring. So does Bobby.

![]() |

Llovra would be dead set against staying to explore and volunteer to escort the rescued Bard back to the Grand Lodge while the rest of you explore...(ie..she's all out of healing and the mission is complete there's no role-play reason for her to stay...she'd leave and insist the injured Bard come with her..If for some reason the Bard stays to explore she'd wait for her companions outside and if none of them returned ..she go back to the Grand Lodge to report what happened.) Ie. As a player and a character Llovra and I are done.

thx for good run GM!

This was fun, I am getting used to being a front liner a little more every time I play her.

Thank you GM

But I don't have to go to the restroom :)

GM Nowruz |

Hello everybody,
for those who would have interest I would offer to continue with the 6-10 "Wounded Wisp" scenario.
I could start end of next week but I have to warn you that I will have a break of almost three weeks in June as I will be on vacation.
So those of you who are interested would be in the game and I would recruit others in Flexseed.

![]() |

I have another character that could do it as she will level to 2nd level. I am very interested.

![]() |

wounded wisp is fun but my bandwith is stretched currently... best if I step aside and let some newer players play it...thx again for a fun run GM

![]() |

Ruslo and I both want to play the Wounded Wisp! Thanks!

![]() |

Hi GM, that would be great! Look forward to the Wounded Wisp. Thank you.
