Ary Bishop |
Judging by the no notes on damages from Anevia, I'm guessing the gambit failed, and likely her stealth check also failed. :(
So much for Ary delaying for covering fire. :P
Anevia sucks soooo much today. :P
Ary Bishop |
Stealth (Sickened, Grazed): 1d20 + 13 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 13 - 2 - 1 = 25
Resonance Shot (Gambit, Sickened, Grazed, Inspired, Haste, Point Blank): 1d20 + 9 + 3 - 2 - 1 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 9 + 3 - 2 - 1 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 17 -3 AC on a hit, all maneuvers but Resonance recovered on a hit, Deflecting recovered on a miss.
Resonance Shot Force Damage (Sickened, Point Blank, Sneak): 3d6 + 6 - 2 + 1 + 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 3) + 6 - 2 + 1 + (6, 5, 5) = 30 -2 Hit if sneak attack!
Deflecting Shot v. Nulkineth (Sickened, Point Blank, Grazed, Inspired, Haste): 1d20 + 13 - 2 + 1 - 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 13 - 2 + 1 - 1 + 2 + 1 = 30
Anevia moves quickly across the floor and out of cover to line up a shot against Nulkineth, firing one more bolt of pure force in his general direction; she's not quite able to shape it into a short-sword, this time, being too mentally exhausted from all of her epic failures for the day. She quickly nocks another arrow, ready to strike as soon as her foe puts himself into a precarious position.
Ehren Ferron |
Moving to doorway and then expending 2 uses of MP to cast burst of radiance (with place magic) at Nulkineth's bottom right square. It'll hit Ary but presumably do nothing, unless she's sekritly evil. :P
Damage: 5d4 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 3, 4) = 12
Duration: 1d4 ⇒ 2 Reflex DC 18 to avoid blindness.
CL vs. SR (Critical, Inspired Spell, Place Magic): 1d20 + 8 - 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 8 - 3 + 2 + 1 = 20
I believe LP is considered separate from MP according to the mythic nerfs, so if that 20 isn't enough...
Crown Legendary Surge: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Total of 26 vs. SR
Ehren Ferron |
Minor correction, I meant to target Nulkineth's bottom-left corner. Don't want to hit Hinagiku with the blast. :P
Edit: On second thought, aiming there will hit Valaria if she decides to full attack. So I'll aim it at Ary's bottom-left corner instead, so that there's no chance of hitting any allies.
Xanderghul |
Xanderghul shifts back towards the battle, heading for Hinagiku, and then he touches her. As he does so, he utters an arcane phrase which can't quite be deciphered, and Hinagiku disappears, re-appearing two feet to her own left.
Move up-right of Hinagiku and cast displacement on her.
Anevia the Hawkguard |
Val: If you are targeted, do you want Anevia to counter before you parry or the other way around? I'm not sure we get the choice on it, but better to have it worked out. :)
Valaria Alazario |
If it succeeds before, then I think that ends his attacks because he's disarmed, so before is good. Anevia probably has a better chance to stop him than Val does right now.
Ary Bishop |
Welcome home!
Also, sorry about your tire.
Also, I think I just never noticed that it resolves against touch AC. It's a good enough maneuver without that, in my opinion, at least for a rogue. :)
Ary Bishop |
I forgot to add haste to Anevia's stabbity stab, in case it matters.
GM Kiora |
Hey Val, since you have thrown all your cold iron knives, I have labelled their locations on the map with pink numbers in case you wanna retrieve them. You still have a mundane starknife, a mithral one, and a silver one... and of course your 2 normal cold iron starknives on your person.
Ary Bishop |
If Nabasujerk uses Mass Hold Person, I'd like for Ary to use Swallow Your Fear on Rocky. If he successfully saves with it it would put him just under wounded... if that makes sense to do.
Valaria Alazario |
How many knives can I actually pick up at once? Can I get all of the ones next to me in one move action? Or will it take my full turn to gather all six?
Ary Bishop |
I edited out the favored enemy bonus... mostly. I'd originally had Ary share favored enemy with her turn, then had to adjust everything when I realized I had a better action when talking to Xander. :)
So the favored enemy bonus wasn't part of the numbers, I just forgot to unlist it!
Ary Bishop |
I also just edited the last post. Ary only recovers Swallow Your Fear and shares favored enemy. Because it's significantly better than just using the cool thing (probably to no effect) because I can. :)
She'll use intruder's end the first time it tries to cast a spell or move, and will activate her last Armiger's Mark on a hit if he's moving away.
Valaria Alazario |
Man, it can be tough to miss half a conversation and then need to get back into it.
Ary Bishop |
:( Sorry :(
Valaria Alazario |
No need to be sorry :P
It's not like it's anyone's fault. I was just commenting

I am traveling back today with a supper in the evening, so I won't be able to post until tomorrow. Hinagiku is all for cleaning the chapel at least a bit. Probably fly someone in tomorrow to reconsecrate it.
Ary Bishop |
:( Sorry, Xander :(
My priorities are getting the bodies out of the worldwound (not necessarily the ghouls or gargoyles), followed by the huge strongbox. I wants the strongbox, but we need a way to get the bodies to safety first!
Ary Bishop |
I'd like to suggest every character take at least one cure light wounds potion. It may be a good idea to get a spring loaded sheathe to stuff it in as well. I intend for Ary to keep two of them, plus one in her sheathe, and Anevia take two as well.
I'd suggest Ehren take the healer's kit to replenish his dwindling one.
Anyone who doesn't have a masterwork backpack should upgrade to the masterwork backpack if you want a backpack. :P If it is not claimed, Anevia will take that sweet sweet carrying capacity/space.
Xanderghul has currently taken the silver powder, lymirin Discourses and Spellguard Bracers.
There is also the potion of fly and the potion of nondetection. I'd suggest someone who plans to have a use for them take each.
None of the other things stand out as particularly useful, unless you need a ranged option and can use a light crossbow.
We're carrying a lot of things in our bags we should probably either pass out to the army/quartermaster or abandon outright, unless you have a purpose for them:
35: Champion Banded Mail (Dwarf)
50: Masterwork Full Plate
2?: Cold Iron Hammer
15: Heavy Steel Shield
-?: Potion of Inflict Light Wounds: Suggest we give this to Markus or Annabelle
1: Unholy Symbol of Kabriri
4: Battle Aspergillium
6: Light Steel Shield
-: Wooden Symbol of Kabriri
3: 3 Unholy Waters
* * *
Val: (47/200lbs) After removing the following:
30: Breastplate
75: Healing Supplies
Xanderghul |
I want to drop off my mwk spear and give the greyflame longbow to Irabeth. I know her Dex sucks, but we don't have any other martial channeling allies who can use it.
Ehren Ferron |
Still, that's like, 1000 gp! Not that we have anywhere to sell it. Also, I find it frustrating that it only bypasses cold iron damage reduction when wielded by an evil channeler. :P
GM Kiora |
I will be unable to post for the rest of the evening, most likely.
Interested in what Ary and Hinagiku think about going to vilareth again.
Ehren is the only one ready to move on to tomorrow. Not rushing you guys or anything, if you have stuff to do or characters to roleplay with, thats great! But otherwise I'm just waiting.
Hinagiku |
I am will to move to tomorrow, though I will use spoilers to finish a few things, like meditation and talk with Chaleb.
Xanderghul |
I got caught up on Gunnerkrigg Court! :'( :'( I was confused for several seconds regarding why the next button did not work.
I'm alright not going to Vilareth. I want to get going with the campaign. I just am also worried about food.
Ary Bishop |
I also lean against doing the raid, given that they'll be expecting thieveses. And thieveses clever enough to steal like 900 meals worth of foods. :O
Ehren Ferron |
Just realized that I never got around to sending that message to Silvershore. I’ll try to get a post up doing that, in a flashback spoiler if necessary.
Ehren Ferron |
I hope your crisis has been averted! Or dealt with. :O
GM Kiora |
Haha, not dealt totally with but I've done my part. I kinda feel bad, like I should have done more, but my schedule is full tomorrow :(
I met a pharmacist there today who said, "Oh, you're that new backstage person! You've helped us so much this month! Thank you!" and she gave me a hug, so that was nice.
Ary Bishop |
Success! I'm glad crisis averted at least.
Update on uncle: Doctor put him in hospital for observation. He tried to leave on the first day. Now they've given him Ativan and he's seeing significant improvement in basically everything (but primarily sleep; he was getting next to none).
Hinagiku |
I am finally going back to Nova-Scotia tomorrow. So, I'll be in the plane for a while and will only probably post in the evening. Then, it should be business as usual with my routine taking over.
GM Kiora |

Fenton Bootblack was born the middlest child of 5 to a pair of ex-slips in Dawnton. His parents are a hardworking pair of cobblers who help service many knights at Fort Portolmaeus. Fenton grew up regailed by the tales of the brave knights of the Crusades, and despite his parents’ urgings that he settle down and choose a nice, respectable halfling trade in Dawnton, he decided to attend an Iomedaean training service for would-be squires in the settlement. There the bullying of his peers for his short stature - the children of humans, half-elves, even the odd tiefling - was not enough to discourage him from his dreams. But when he finished the training program, no knight would take him… until Ser Yves, who just happened to be passing by the crusader fortification, heard of his plight.
A hero in his own right, Ser Yves was impressed by the tiny halfling’s bravery and resolve, and offered to take him as his squire. Fenton has spent the last 9 months traveling with Ser Yves, and even the horrors of the Worldwound have not been enough to discoruage him from continuing on as a squire.
Fenton is 2 feet tall and 18 lbs. He has red hair in a tangled, curly mess, and a face full of freckles with a lean build. Fenton is a good-hearted, determined idealist. He shows good promise with weaponry (though he is far more dextrous than strong) and is kind and gentle with animals, though he struggles with arithmetic and writing. His ultimate dream is to become the best knight that ever lived, to do great good in the world and for the crusades, and then settle down with a beautiful lady halfling and raise a family.
You're allowed to level him up as you level up, though if he subsequently becomes too high level for you to keep as a follower then he will leave your service.

Only two feet tall! And that backstory! So adorable! :O
